We are going this fall with our 2 adult children. They are staying in a different room and do not want to do dining (they had rather grab something quick most meals). We will be eating together some meals and we are going to be on the deluxe plan. Can we pay for their meal with our credits? Can they eat off our appetizer and desert without their being a problem? Thanks for the help.

I deon't see any issues if you shared what was on your plate with them, such as an appy. However as mentioned you cannot buy others meals with your credits. IF a server agrees to do this, keep in mind that is not policy and they are just doing it for whatever reason. It is not the norm.

The way the servers spot this is that you have a KTTW card, which has your room key & dining plan credits on it. They can see from that card that there are 2 of you registered to that room, so there are 2 of you on the dining plan. They will not allow you to purchase more than 2 meals with your credits at any one time.

However, servers have no problem bringing separate bills for each party. Spliting the bill is easy (even though I understand that you would prefer to share credits, it is not allowed).

we did that last Sept. We booked the dining plan, my brother and sister n law came down for a weekend. We used our credits for their meals and had no problems. They just asked us how many.
It seems like if you have 22 credits, those are yours to use and if you want to use them all in one day, share with others etc, that shouldn't matter to disney, you still have 22 credits.

The "We did this on trips in previous years" just doesn't apply anymore.
Disney has changed policies every year since the dining plan was implemented. They will not be able to share meal credits, period.

They did not allow it in December 2008 .My sil tried to share her credits with her Aunt that came down with them and the answer was "No"

They are yours to use within the plan rules stated by Disney.
