Sharing a meal

I need clarification please. I have seen posts that say if youf family is on the ddp, there is no meal sharing. I understand that if some of the party is not on the plan, you cannot share a meal, but if all of us are on the DDP, and two of us decide wwe prefer to share an entree so we can order appetizers, if this possibel? I enjoy the entire experience, cocktails, apps, entree and dessert. I hate to throw food away, and on the plan, it makes no sense to try to save it, even if there was a way to reheat it later, so can I split an entree with my DGD? She is a disney adult, so no cheating there either.

Frequent question, and at most table service restaurants you can split your meal with another member of your party also on the dining plan. Exceptions at Via Napoli, maybe Tutto Italia, all buffets, family style, and AYCTE meals. When splitting, you'd still need to either share or pay OOP for the other person's drink/dessert/app, or share those as well.

Great! That is not a problem, but I thought that maybe the rules had changed and that for anyone on the plan, we had to always have out own entree.
