I didn't do much until the end of this week:
Friday
Friday
- Used an Amex offer for a $20 statement credit when spending $100+ at Walmart Grocery. First time trying Walmart Grocery store pickup and it was amazing. I was also able to use a code for $10 off my first order. I decided to treat the $20 statement credit as "Disney" money and the $10 off code as grocery savings. I paid with my Amex Blue Cash Preferred card and am curious about whether it will code as a grocery store for 6% cashback. I know purchases at Walmart typically do not, but purchases from Walmart Neighborhood Markets do. My pending transaction shows the category as "Merchandise & Supplies - Groceries," which is the same category as Safeway. If it does post with the 6% cashback, I'll just consider it a bonus.
- Earned $3.00 in rebates with iBotta at Safeway for groceries I couldn't get at Walmart. Total iBotta earnings = $99.86.
- Purchased a $145 Disney gift card at Best Buy using:
- $5.00 Best Buy reward certificate,
- 3 x $15 = $45 in Best Buy promotional savings codes earned from purchasing 3 x $150 Best Buy gift cards in August,
- $75 Best Buy gift card that I purchased last week from Safeway for $67.50 (and then redeemed enough Amex cash rewards to wipe away that purchase),
- $20 charged to my Amex Blue Cash Preferred card (which will be offset by the Amex credit from my Friday Walmart purchase),
- 2% cashback from iBotta is pending from scanning the QR code at the Best Buy register.
