I'm back from my trip (it was wonderful!) and I'm already looking forward to the next one. Thank you to everyone who kept this weekly thread running while I was absent from the disboards. I went dark the week before we left for Disney so that I could concentrate on all of those last minute details but I did manage to collect another $50 is Target GCs from Perk and $25 in PayPal from SB. I also cashed in for $1.90 PayPal from Qmee, rented out some DVC points for next fall and redeemed for $35 PayPal on iBotta during that week. Now it's time to get back to work!

Sunday
  • Absolutely nothing! All my devices stayed dormant and I unpacked, started laundry and did some grocery shopping.
Monday
  • Restarted my devices and began Perking, SB nCraves and EarnHoney. Caught up on my Shopkick bonus kicks.
  • Going to take an accounting of what we spend in Disney and how much I have left in GCs.
Tuesday
  • Met my first SB goal but didn't bother trying to hit the 2nd one. My "streak" ended at 7 days because we left for our vacation early in the morning on the 14th. So, there's no pressure to keep it up other than to make as much as I can each day.
  • Missed reaching my goal of cashing out for a $25 GC on Perk by about 2,000 points.
Wednesday
  • Met my first SB goal and have no hope of reaching the second one. I'm on track to have more than enough to redeem for $25 PayPal by the end of the week.
  • Reached my goal for Perk and redeemed for a $25 Target GC.
  • Was sent an invitation from Southwest to join their new survey program. Got 500 RR points for doing my first survey.
Thursday
  • Redeemed for $25 Target GC from Perk
  • Made first goal on SB
Friday
  • Made first goal on SB. Redeemed for $25 PayPal.
  • Purchased 2*$50 Disney GCs using 4*$25 Target GCs earned from Perk.
  • Filled my gas tank using Acme fuel perks. Saved 90¢ per gallon. That's $13.20 for my Mickey Money. Came home and put the cash in my change jar.
  • Picked up 235 SK kicks while shopping at Target.
  • Submitted receipts to iBotta, Savingstar, Fetch and Receipt Hog.
Saturday
  • Received 500 points on Fetch for the receipt that I submitted. 25¢ on SavingStar for the pumpkin I bought, 25¢ on iBotta and 20 "coins" on Receipt Hog for the same receipt.

Hi DisFriends! Glad for another day, another dollar! I think I'm going to try to keep track of some of my totals this time, so we'll see how that goes.

Sunday
  • 141 SB - Made my first goal which is surprising since I went "out of town" most of the day to volunteer at an animal shelter a couple hours from here. It was an awesome day & this was just the icing on the cake.
Monday
  • received my $50 PP from SB & bought a DGC
  • 272 SB - made first goal
  • $10 - the rest of my tips from working the game on 10/14 (long story)
Tuesday
  • 419 SB - made both goals
Wednesday
  • 4101 SB - WOO! I decided to try out the Gamefly offer while it was 2500 which credited instantly AND a 1500 gut check survey panel credit came through
Thursday
  • redeemed SB for $50 PP
  • 420 SB - made both goals

Weekly/Total

SB = 5353/5667 (769)
Cash = 10/500
DGC = 50/530.06

On a related note, my daughter is 6. She's been working on reading for about a year now, but her teachers have really taken an interest the past few weeks and we're all working with her more. She was the first Kindergartener this year to pass her reading test to be able to check out books from the library at school. :lovestrucSo I've made her a deal that for every book she reads to me I'll put a dollar on her own DGC. That's all she asked for for her bitrhday last month do she already has $210 on hers, but I'll try to keep track of what she's earning too. She's read 3 books since we started so from here on out I'm going to note her stuff as CDGC

nCraves ran like crazy today! I earned 129 SB from videos alone...oh, and a whopping 4 SB search win.

Monday
nCraves are still running...I worked a 12-hour shift and came home to see that I had already made my first goal. I'll try a survey or two before I head off to bed and see what I can do. I will leave the nCraves running and update the final total in the morning. Final result for Tuesday was 208 SB...and I never did get a survey:sad2:.

Tuesday
No survey success today, but the nCraves were running great and I also had a small shopping credit post to my account. I ended the day with 304 SB. I also had a successful plasma donation which added $20 to my cash account.

Wednesday
Worked a half-shift today and had my nCraves running while I was gone. I got 8 SB from DH referrals and 180 from nCraves for a total of 188 SB for the day...not bad for not one ounce of effort:).

Thursday
Today, I made my 6th plasma donation of the month...which is AMAZING since I missed a week due to vacation and there have only been SIX times that I have been potentially eligible. Because it was my sixth one, I received a $20 bonus, making today's donation worth $70:thumbsup2. On the SwagBucks side of things, the AYCE nCrave worth 3SB was running all day...until it stopped...3 SB shy of making my first goal:scratchin...coincidence??? I have a few hours left to play around today, and DH isn't home from work yet, so I have confidence that I will make my goal and then some. I will update today's final total when it comes in...final total for today was 183 SB. My second goal was 180, but 9 of my SB's were referrals from DH which don't count so I fell a mere 6 SB short of my second goal...bummer.

Friday
First day of my 4-day working weekend :crazy2:, but SB was nice to me. I had nCraves that ran while I was at work, I finished a mobile survey between calls and I had a small shopping credit that posted. I made both goals and finished the day with 200 SB :goodvibes.

Saturday
Before work, I did a quick 6SB nCrave and a 2SB Discover. Then, I was able to start the AYCE nCraves that have been giving me 3SB per round and they have been running ALL day! I came home from work and found that I have already hit my first and second goals for the day:cool1:. DH has had his running too so I have also earned 14SB in referral credits from him today. The final total for today was 298 SB and I did not do one, single thing...no shopping credits, no search credits...nothing. I simply started my nCraves and let them run.

My final SwagBucks total for the week is 1,519 SB

Could you make a sticky on the first post what some of these programs are and how they work. Or put in the heading which post # so we can read about it. There is so much out there and I hav no clue what you have to do, except for my Disney Chase card.

There are so many rewards programs out there that it can be confusing. Some have rapid earnings if you really apply yourself to them and others are passive earners but slow. If you have a lot of time and the patience to do a combination of them, you can make a really big dent in the cost of your vacation.

Offhand, I can list a handful:
Perk - a variety of apps which run advertisements using smart devices. If you have a large number of old smart phones, iPads, iPod touches, etc. and a good internet connection, you can do quite well. Pays in GCs, PayPal or Perk Plastic (their own reloadable credit card).
Swagbucks - there's a long and very active thread on the Budget Board on how to maximize your earnings thru sign ups, shopping, running the apps on smart devices and watching videos on your computer, and answering surveys. Pays in GCs and PayPal.
EarnHoney - a passive program that pays for watching video ads on your computer and also has an app for doing the same. Can be a slow earner but they pay in Amazon GCs or PayPal and you can redeem for as little as $5. If you have an older computer or laptop, you can run it in addition to the other programs.
Shopkicks - app for your smart phone. Earn "kicks" for walking into select stores and for scanning specific products. Earn more for making purchases in store and online. Limited number of kicks available daily for "visiting" select online stores and opening ads. Redeem for eGCs.
Checkpoints - similar to Shopkicks. Points for "checking in" at local merchants and for doing scans of products. Can also earn by answering surveys and watching videos. Can be a slow earner. Redeem for eGCs.
iBotta - shopping app. Earn by purchasing select products at specific stores. Get extra for completing bonuses and when your "team" earns as well. Also rewards for online shopping. Redeem for PayPal when you have $20 or more in rebates.
Checkout51 - similar to iBotta without the online shopping. Redeem for PayPal.
SavingStar - enter your loyalty card number or upload your receipts. Purchase select items and get rebated. Mostly grocery items and usually includes a healthy item for the week. Redeem for PayPal, direct deposit to bank account or UPromise account or GCs.
Kellogg's Family Rewards - passive earner but can be slow. Add your loyalty card and get rewarded when you purchase Kellogg's products. Redeem for GCs or coupons. I get Starbucks and use the GCs at Disney.
Fetch Rewards - upload receipts and earn points for qualifying purchases. Redeem for eGCs
Receipt Pal - similar to Fetch. Redeem for eGCs
Receipt Hog - Similar to Fetch and Receipt Pal. Rewards in Amazon, PayPal or magazines.

@KirbyLouWho that is ADORABLE. new readers are my favorite! Congrats to her. that is a HUGE deal.

I looked at my *actual* budget this week and realized that Ive saved about $300 in groceries this month by using what I had in the pantry!
and overall this month saved around 1k!!!!!
redeemed SB for $35 in gift cards and on track for another $25 by the beginning of the month.

Ack! So between the new job (3rd shift), remodeling, and moving I have not been able of keep very good track of my earnings this week and half of last week. But -

Swagbucks - 1st goals met everyday, 2nd goal met the past 3 days. Redeemed $25 Paypal
Bing - done all the points available (although I can never figure out the 5 point per hour thing)
Perk - sucks as usual. It seems like I have been at 21000 points since the first of the month.
MyPoints - doing super well, I do the daily 5 and then run nCraves at the same time I run them on SB
Receipt Pal - finally redeemed for a $25 card (max they offer) - took me about 6 months
ReceiptHog - got 400 points on a spin! i was so excited, usually I get 5 or 10. Have enough for $15 but saving for a $40 (their max)
KFR - I just got an email that staring on the 30th they will be doing some special offers on their rewards. Not expecting much but I am saving my points (have over 11K)

Month total -
SB $100 ($25 Walmart, $75 PP)
Bing $5 Walmart
MyPoints 13,333 (some are pending)
RP $25 Walmart

Bumping it back to the first page so we can get one started for the new week...
