Sure everyone knows that POTC, Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion are the best but what are your favorite hidden treasures to see and do at DL?
My favorite two
1. Disneyland the first 50 magical years- This show is shown in the old theater where Lincoln use to be, the lobby has lots of great photos and displays. You can laugh at all the costumes CM have had to wear in the past, about the Mermaids that use to live in the Lagoon, and see wonderful photos of Walt planning and Designing the park. Worth the time!
2. This is way more hidden, I love the Gallery. Yes many people go to the Gallery but do you know that it was going to originally be a VIP apartment? Ask a CM and many of them will give you a FREE personal tour of the apartment including showing you design drawings (some are on the wall in the hallway off to the left from the "Gallery" entrance.). We also were very lucky to get a CM who also showed us photos of Walt's used Apartment (above the Firestation on MS) from an old LIFE magazine. We have had a wonderful time up there and always learn something new.
Oh and if you would love to learn all the words to any ride songs ask a CM in the gallery and they can usually give you a copy.
NOTE: How busy the Gallery is at the time will of course dictate how much you can learn from a CM but it still is a great place to wander and see Disney art and learn about DL history.
