share your experience using CR as a drop off for MK

I'm looking for real stories - did you use Uber or another car service to drop off at the Contemporary Resort and then walk to Magic Kingdom? What issues, if any, did you run into? Thanks!

I've done that many times. Right after passing the guard's booth, I ask to be let out. No need to go all the way to the contemporary if you're walking to the mk.
We always take cabs between parks and resorts rather than take the busses. Cabs are always available and waiting outside the resorts and parks.

Easy to do in a taxi. I don't have any experience with uber, though.

We've done it multiple times with Taxi (before Lyft/Uber) and with both Lyft and Uber. We have never encountered anyone make it difficult at all. Even when there are parking restrictions the guards let the car in as it's not going to park anyway.
We too ask to get out just past the guard shack vs. going all the way to the resort. Saves 5 min

Just wanted to add that after you pass the guard house, ask the driver to do a u turn and drop you off at the corner. Then you and your family can get out safely and get right on the sidewalk. It'll be the closest place to the mk that you can be dropped off.

You can shop, eat at QS, do any number of things without an ADR or resort reservation. No one has ever asked why we are entering

Yes, Disney does not prevent (or even want to prevent) guests from going to their resorts. That's how they get you to try them sometime

The only time you may have a problem is when the parks are crazy busy, like New Year's Eve.
