How do you guys stay during this time with no discounts and holiday $'s? :badpc:

My b-day is Dec. 27 and I would love to go during that time. :earsgirl:

What are some good strategies for staying on Disney property and not spending all that money on the hotels. :umbrella:

Thanks

Michele

The week after Christmas is wonderful.
A lot of decorations are still up.
Country Bear show has bears dressed up for holidays and they sing Christmas songs.
You hear Christmas music in the parks. It is really a joyous time.
I would stay at the All Stars.
The rooms are clean ,the CMs friendly,it has beautiful landscaping,
th pool is heated.
Besides I love  those huge icons. They are pure Disney
I know I'm 55 but I'm just a big kid at Disney :)

We took our first ever trip to WDW during that week last year. My daughter's 13th birthday was the 29th and we celebrated it at the Brown Derby in conjunction with the Fantasmic Dinner Package. She loved it!

We stayed at a value resort - POP Century. We were very pleased with our stay. Check -in was efficient and the bus system was superb. Our longest wait for the bus was 15 minutes and this was on New Year's Eve.

We took advantage of Extra Magic Hour and went to each park with a plan. We tackled our "must see" list first and then slowed down a bit and played it by ear.

We knew the parks would be a nightmare on NYE, so we spent the morning at Animal Kingdom and the evening hanging out at the Boardwalk. We were back at POP before midnight and were able to watch the fireworks from our balcony of the 70s building.

We told our DD ahead of time that this trip was her birthday and Christmas present. We didn't exchange presents as a family, this trip and the memories were the best gifts ever!
