Thought this would be a fun idea for ya'll at the Fort (and those of us who can't be at the Fort):santa:

How to make a "Snow Man Poop" stocking.

Take a plastic sandwich bag
Small marshmallows'
and a Stocking

Take a handful of marshmallows and put them
in the plastic sandwich bag, and tie the bag closed.
Place the bag in the stocking with the Poem below.

You now have a "Snow Man Poop" stocking
to give to someone as a gag gift.

"Snow Man Poop"Poem

Santa checked his list,
He even checked it twice,

He found out that you havent
been very nice,

Since coal is expensive
Heres the scoop,

Santa filled your stocking with
Snow Man POOP !!

Merry Christmas

------------------------------------------------------

("You can also make "Reindeer Poop")
Just change the above poem around to say Reindeer Poop
instead of Snow Man Poop.

instead of using marshmallows, use
Chocolate Covered Raisins or
Hershey Kisses or
Malted Milk Balls.

Frank, my 2 DDs & I will be spending Christmas in a cabin @ Fort Wilderness. I am getting so inpatient. I'm trying to grade papers for an online class that I teach but here I am visiting the Fort on the Dis. It will be a real time of Thanks for our family. My oldest DD is in the DCP @ WDW & she has been there since May & is extending through May 2012. We were separated for Thanksgiving so cannot wait to see her. My youngest DD is studying for finals as she is a freshman in high school. She spent last week in the hospital & will have follow up tests after New Year but is so much better. Somewhere in all this craziness our kitten decided to run away a week ago & had the entire neighborhood searching for him including our dog who sniffed the woods looking for her cat. Well last night he decided that he was cold & hungry & returned home!!!
My oldest DD didn't want me to get any ADRs so Mom could cook in the cabin. So I have boxes filled to put in the car & will fill the ice chest so I can fix cajun fried turkey gumbo, cajun sauage jambalaya, and crawfish etouffee while we are there.
I'll fix my Mom's traditional red velvet cake. I'll add the recipe when I get her cook book down later.
A quick, easy candy is to melt semi sweet chocolate chips in the microwave & pour out on a sheet of wax paper. Let almost harden. Then melt Andes white peppermint crunch candy chips. Pour over chocolate layer. Let harden & break into uneven pieces. Easy, delicious peppermint bark!!!
My youngest DD shares her favorite recipe for Holiday smores--graham crackers, hershey's chocolate bars, and the new Kraft jumbo peppermint marshmallows!!!

Easy Cookie Decorating Ideas
Snowy Sugar Glaze

Use snowy sugar glaze to cover the cookies first, then use colored glaze to decorate in straight lines, drizzles, squiggly lines or dots. Let the glaze dry and harden to create a perfect work surface. Do not use egg yolk on cookies after they have been baked.

2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons skim milk
*Few drops green food color

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Make sure cookies are completely cool then coat each cookie with the white glaze.
To make colors, remove one of tablespoon glaze to several custard cups. Add 1 or 2 drops of food coloring to each. Make some tints and some darker colors for creative decorating. Use a small brush or toothpick to swirl colors into desired patterns on cookies.
To use the same recipe as frosting, simply add a little more powdered sugar to thicken.

*Food Coloring comes in two forms, paste or liquid. The paste makes the most vivid and varied colors, but liquid can also work well. Start with a tiny amount of food coloring and add more until desired color is reached.
Egg Yolk Paint

Adult supervision suggested. Do not eat raw egg yolk paint. Paint cookies before baking for food safety reasons. Raw eggs/yolks can cause foodborne illness. Wash hands after using raw egg yolk paint.

Empty Styrofoam egg carton
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon water
1 package assorted food colors

Stir together egg yolk and water. Divide yolk and place in compartments of empty Styrofoam carton or several custard cups.
Tint with food color to desired brightness.
Using a small paintbrush or toothpick, decorate cookies before baking. Paint may dry out during sitting time, cover and add a few more drops of water to keep moist.

Milk Paint

Sweetened condensed milk
Assorted food colors
Empty Styrofoam egg carton

Place 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk in each compartment or container.
Add a few drops of different color to each. Paint on cooled, glazed cookies.
Allow to completely dry before storing.

Tinted Coconut

Place one can flaked or shredded coconut in a zip closure bag or jar with lid. Make sure you leave 3 inches of space in the top of the container for shaking. Add a 2 to 3 drops food color. Zip the bag or seal the jar and shake the container. Add more food color for darker colors.
Colored Sugar

Measure 1/2 cup granulated sugar. Place sugar in a jar with tight fitting lid. Add a few drops liquid food coloring and shake jar. Add more food coloring to get desired color for sugar. Sprinkle sugar on warm cookies or glaze, then sprinkle with colored sugar.

Decorating Tip -- Use a muffin tin to assemble all the decorations tinted coconut colored sugar, sprinkles, and candy balls.
