There was a piece on Shanghai Disney on GMA today. Looks great but makes me sad/jealous that the overseas Disney Parks seem to get the newest high tech rides and we don't..... Maybe Avatar
And or Star Wars will be better than our newest rides, which seem alittle lame to me.

I was thinking the same thing. I immediately thought..."Why can't they bring some of that stuff here?" Oh, well...maybe I need to take a trip to Shanghai.

Remember that it's not just Disney money that is paying for all those new rides.

Well, they showed the Castle, which we have. They showed 7DMT, which we have. They showed a Tron ride and a show based on Tarzan. I'm going to bet that Pandora and it's rides will be just as nice as Tron, and Stars Wars will be as well. Do you really think you are being short-changed that much? Plus, we can breathe the air here without masks and can actually see the castle from Makn Street with no pollution haze.

Just wishing for newer rides using newer technology , like Mystic Manor or Ratatouille in Paris. Or Heaven Forbid, even like Escape from Gringotts! Looking forward to the announcements about the changes at DHS.

I don't know enough particulars about Shanghai yet, but if you compare the American parks to Tokoyo Disneyland and DisneySea, we are DEFINITELY being shortchanged.

Of course, as minnie mum said, it's not just Disney paying for those parks. Too bad the Oriental Land Company doesn't invest in the America parks.
