Does anyone know if there are suites are in both the old and new sections. What would be the benefits for each section?

The original suite is still in the old section. No new suites were added to the old section. There are different types of suites in the new section. I forget the exact number, but I would assume if you checked out the SoG website, they should be able to advise what kind of suites they have and how many they sleep (I believe the new ones sleep 6-8 people, but I could be remembering incorrectly).

While working there, I was able to visit the old suite once. It was on the first (ground) floor and I believe faced the pool. So, if this is something that would appeal to you, that would be a benefit.

As to the benefits of the newer suites....well, they're new! :)

We'll be there from 10/22 - 10/24 and 11/12 - 11/14. both for Food & Wine at Epcot.

We've stayed in both sections, and didn't know anything about the laundromat in the new wing.

Can anyone tell me where it's located?

Thanks!!

We went to the laundry in the new wing. We had to get on the elevators just as you enter the new wing then go up a couple floors (I cant remmeber exactly.) It was around a couple corners. It was very nice and large machines too compared to other resorts I have been to.

Hey Jill!

My oldest daughter was reading over my shoulder and commented on your older daughters Lizzie shirt! "I have the same shirt!" LOL Maybe we'll see you at the SOG! We requested a pool view, hopefully it's the Mickey pool!

Hi Holly,

Yes, I bet we will see you there! I hope you get close to the Mickey pool! My daughter will be the one in the Lizzie shirt or sweatshirt as she is a HUGE fan of Hilary Duff. I'm sad that they have moved on from the princesses to Lizzie and Kim Possible, but at least those characters are cute too.
:teeth:

Take care.

:sunny:

I know what you mean. They are growing up. So sad! LOL Mine are still holding onto the Princesses though... even though Kim Possible and Lizzie are big favorites. Rebecca (my 5 year old) is hoping to see Tinkerbell at WDW. I keep telling her that I really doubt it, for she's too small to fly all around the park. So Aurora will have to do!;)

Thanks for the laundry information!

I'll have to investigate when we arrive on Friday.........

Can I sign if if I haven't stayed yet but and SEVERLY looking forward to it?!?!?!? :jumping1: Just waiting for Dec 15th to be able to book our room!!!!!! How can SoG not have Disney magic being geographically located right in the center of the magic energy!!! Works for me! I don't care if it doesn't have big cement Disney characters or exotic theming...it's beautiful, clean and quiet. Works even MORE for me!

We'll be there 12/10-15 2005! Yes, a LONG wait!:hyper: :yo-yo:

My family of 9 (6 adults, 3 kids) is going 12/18-12/21 to SOG. My parents have stayed there before and raved about it being so close to everything and a fraction of the cost of the other big resorts that are close to MK.

I stayed at Coronado Springs last year on a business trip and I thought it was awful. While the public areas (lobbies, restaurants, etc.) were nice, the room(s)--(because we switched the first room as it was soo bad and reaked of mildew) was a cheap Holiday Inn at best and the rooms were soooooooo remote. For $155/night I definitely expected at least a little bit more. Walking to a conference in high heels in June from our room to the conference center was a good 1/3 mile, probably more. The buses seemed really infrequent and never on time. Oh well, enough venting.

I'm definitely hoping for a bit more at SOG...at least the price is less. My mother is very picky about hotels and she thought SOG was a great value.

We have booked 3 pool-side rooms (old section by request) and I hope at least 2 will be connecting. I have been booking PS dining reservations the past couple days and I'm getting really excited about going. It will be the first trip with my 2-1/2 yo DD who loves Snow White and Cinderella...so much so that she'll only wear Pull-Ups with one of the two of them on them:D

We are leaving tonight and will stay at the Marriott World Center until Saturday...then on to SOG! Happy dancing here!

:sunny: We will be at SOG on 11/6/-11/10 - cannot wait!!
Have stayed before - many years ago - 1st trip with 3yr old DS and extended family. Praying for nice weather. It has been raining here for the last 3 days.
We hope to see and meet some of you during our stay. We'll be hanging out by the nearest playground, swimming pool, eating lots of chicken fingers ( DS "main" diet at the moment..lol) and of course enjoying the parks!

Will be there 11/21 through 11/29 for Thanksgiving with my DH, DM, DF, DB, DSIL, and neices and nephews. This is our second stay since it has reopened. I think this will be our 9th stay at SOG, maybe 10th.

Debbie

I have a SOG question - we have never stayed and are planning a trip in June - there will be 10 of us and an infant, my husband an I are the grandparents, my DD and her husband and two children (13 & 8 at the time of the trip) and my DS and his wife, and my DD, her marine aviator husband and their 1 yr old. We were going to get 3 rooms, but am wondering about the suites...are they one or two bedroom??? If they sleep 8, Im thinking they must be 2 with a pull out sofa or something?? Also, if you get a suite, do they charge for more than 2 adults in a room? No sites I have been to show any pictures or floor plans for the suites. Also, I noticed someone had posted they were waiting until Dec to book their trip - do they not book too far in advance? Thank you for any help you can give me!

The military sponsor can reserve 3 rooms and if the spouse of the sponser has a dependent card and will be at the hotel, the spouse can also reserve 3 rooms. You might be able to get one more room to help with the crowding. SOG books up to 1 year in advance.

Debbie

Thank you for helping me regarding the bookings, very helpful! Can anyone answer the questions I had regarding the suite rooms??? Are there any sites that have suite room plans or pictures?? Are they one or two bedroom??
