Shades of Green- pics & completed trip reports

hi there, I am having trouble finding completed trip reports from SOG brides, I did find one, but would love to see more!

Please link me to any you are aware of!

Also if anyone has pics of a SOG wedding I would love to see them! I am especially looking for pics of the Gazebo all gussied up with decorations and flower petals

I love seeing SOG brides on this board. I was married there in 2004, soon after SOG re-opened following major renovations. I didn't know about this board back then, so I don't have a trip report, but I can direct you to my pics. http://www.flickr.com/photos/smoof/sets/72157600302067230 Notice there are no pictures of the gazebo. I was willing to brave August in Florida to have the ceremony outside in the gazebo. As a matter of fact, the gazebo was modified with an opening on the side closest to the hotel because of my wedding and future weddings. After two of the most beautiful August days in Central Florida, I had hope the typical afternoon storms would hold out for me. There was no afternoon storm, a monsoon hit and it hit hard. We had to have the ceremony inside.

The SOG staff is wonderful. The catering and events people are different now, but I hear they are great. The food was up to the standards of Manginos. I have never had "banquet" food that was so well done.

I know some has changed since I got married, but let me know if you have any questions. I would love to help you anyway I can.

Did they provide the arch way and flowers for the back up rain location?

No, they didn't provide that. We had an outside wedding coordinator, who had it as a back-up. You should ask, because it is almost 5 years since we got married. They may have that type of thing now.
