cant find my old threads....ah.... Ok what do I need to know about going to the parks from SOG? Whats the easiest/fastest?

Thank you!

We have not stayed there in awhile, but have gone back to rent a car a couple of times. They have busses, but we usually walk from/to the Poly and catch the monorail. It is a little bit of a hike, but what are a few more steps around Disney in the whole sceme of things? Maybe someone can give you a little more info on the busses.

We've stayed at SOG twice and are going back next Nov. We walked to Poly and the TTC every day. It's an easy walk and the first time we had our 12 and 14 year olds with us (1998).

We even had our car last time since we came on the auto train but we never moved it the whole week.

BTW, we wear pedometers every day and we did around 25,000 steps each day (around 10 miles) and only a small portion of that was walking back and forth to the Poly. So, yeah, in the grand scheme of things, the walk is not a significant factor.

When you check-in, you'll receive a bus schedule. The TTC bus runs every 20 min. From here you can hop on a monorail to EPCOT or a monorail or boat to MK. The buses to the other parks, waterparks and Downtown Disney run hourly. As the PP mentioned, walking to Poly to catch the monorail or Disney buses is also an option. If you need to get to a park very early, the Poly buses would be best. The SOG buses started running at 8:30 when we were there in June.
