Used to be that one of the few negatives about the Shades of Green was they charge $7 per night for parking...now it is one of the many positives!
We've decided to book there now instead of Disney resorts, so we get all the benefits of staying onsite (bus transportation, or walk to the monorail) without paying too much for parking. The moderate resorts, about the same class as Shades of Green, charge almost 3 times as much for outdoor parking.
We stay there because:
- Largest standard rooms at Disney World
- Walk to Poly or TTC
- No tax on room rates
- Good onsite facilities (reasonable food, shopping, coffee, ticket office)
- Covered parking, and now a much lower parking rate than Disney hotels
