Shades of Green: Getting to HS Early

We are staying at SOG in a few weeks and I’m wondering if anyone has experience with getting to HS extra early so they can get in a ROR boarding group. Other than driving our own car, is there an option? Do they allow Uber and Lyft on property or do you have to meet them at the gate? Just trying to plan our transportation for the day we want to attempt this. I’m assuming the SOG buses won’t be running that early. TYIA.

I don't see any reason Uber/Lyft would not be allowed to pick up at Shades of Green. The club house for three Disney Golf courses is located at Shades of Green and you don't need to be military to play those courses.

The Shades of Green website says the DHS bus starts running 45 minutes prior to park opening.

Another option would be to walk over to the Polynesian and catch a bus there.

Just returned from SOG yesterday; we used Uber and Lyft multiple times for various reasons, without problem. On our 2016 trip we had to meet them at the beginning of the drive, but since 2017 they've been able to come all the way up to the main entrance. We also used a Minnie Van a couple of times, but I'd recommend regular Uber/Lyft unless you're needing to go somewhere they can't access for drop-off (MK bus area, beyond the front entry of Fort Wilderness, etc). Also, on our trip SOG were using one bus for both AK and HS (which we hadn't experienced on any of our previous trips), and HS was the second drop off.
