Yet another question: my flight was just changed, and I now get in at 0800 instead of 1200. Can I drop my bags of at Shades instead of dragging them all over Disney Springs?

You shouldn't have a problem leaving your bag with bell services at Shades. They will give you a claim tag for when you need to get your bags later (or at least they always give us one when we leave our bags on check out day). I'd keep your reservation confirmation on you whilst you go to Disney Springs, so you can show it (if needed) when entering SOG property (if you haven't checked in/don't have your Shades guest ID yet).

I was just sort of checking availability for this fall on a lark, but they are pretty fully booked. I'm sure the 50th anniversary is the primary reason.

Aww, sorry to hear this. I believe they are still operating at reduced capacity, but if I were you I would keep checking. They may eventually open up more rooms.

@RooDll99 I totally echo this advice. We had a tough time getting the days in June we wanted, but with a daily check (and some days, lots of refreshing anytime I was in between other stuff, haha), I was able to get our dates, and add a room too when our party became 6.

Good luck finding your dates! When are you planning to go?

We finally received our tickets from SOG! If took a total of 18 days from the ticket request to their delivery. Linked our tickets and made the park reservations for July with no issues. It does seem oddly strange with no FP+ reservations to search for...like there's a hole in my park planning , but looking forward to making those ADRs!

Anyone belong to the SOG fans on FB? Don't bother answering with a factual answer or especially after someone "edits" their answer. I just got blocked/deleted with NO explanation because someone didin't like any answer. OP edited their answer AFTER I asked a question about their original post. No explanation from admins who are too chicken to take a stand. Apparently unless you kiss *** you get "reported". I have never reported ANYONE on any FB page I've been on because I'm not butt hurt by the fact that others have opinions other than mine. Funny thing is, this particular post wasn't about opinions. If you changed your post/edit it, don't get butt hurt because of responses you get BEFORE your change it. I'm sorry, but the US military is not what it used to be.

Fortunately doesn't change the fact we can stay at SOG. I'm just so tired of people who are butt hurt about everything, regardless of my feelings.

i didn't last long in that group, someone posted that do not disturb signs where moved onto other doors, i laughed, they didn't. then i said something about dod civilians and whelp i was gone. karens gone wild.

Same here. We are going in July too, and we were planning on an early dinner there but nothing. I am also hoping that the monorail station at the Poly will be completed in July, it will make it so much easier to get to the MK from SOG.

Seems like Shades is improving ticket response times. We ordered tickets on the 15th of May and got a call back today. Tickets should arrive tomorrow so 11 days from order to receipt. Definitely better than the 3 weeks I'd previously read about

I know there are areas within the resort where the cell signal/Wi-Fi are not that great. Has anyone had success in getting a ROTR boarding group from your room? We will be there in July, and I was wondering if I would need to attempt this from the lobby, or outside. We were also planning on walking over to the Poly to catch an earlier bus to DHS, has this worked out for anyone?
