Hi, for anyone who has used this type of ticket in the past do you know how long the tickets are good for once they are activated? I purchased my tickets in Nov at my local base and got vouchers. Once we convert to actual tickets is there a time limit in which the tickets need to be fully used? Thanks in advance for any and all information.

The 2020 military promotional tickets expire on December 18th, 2020.

Unlike "normal" tickets, there's not a limited window to use all the days once the first day is used. So the entitlements can be split up/spread out for multiple short trips if desired. But any remaining days expire on December 18th, 2020.

Note: the expiration I quoted is for WDW tickets. They also offer a separate DLR military promotional ticket that may or may not have the same expiration date.

Thanks so much Grumpy by Birth, this is my first time using this type of ticket. Good to know I have options on when to use my days. :thumbsup2

Also, while you could wait until you're at the park, you could instead go to SoG or Disney Springs Guest Services the day prior to exchange the vouchers/activate the tickets. That would save you some time, especially if you're at the park for RD and want to hit rides early instead of taking time out at GS.

GOT MINE!!!

Thanks for the tip Robin "D". I will check it out.

I plan on activating my tickets the day we get there but not using until the next day for the exact reason you state (Grumpy by Birth). It will save me time in the AM when we are hurrying to our breakfast reservation. We can't be late for the princesses! :thumbsup2

You can link these tickets as soon as you have the bar number/ link your tickets so you can do your fast passes.

Also, for future reference, you can order the tickets directly from Shades of Green. You have to pay about $15 for FedEx delivery, but you get the actual activated tickets. That way, you don't have to worry about exchanging vouchers once you get to WDW.

you can call WDW and they can link them for you.....
That is what we did.

You can link them to MDE for making FP reservations, but I think you still have to exchange them onsite for the actual activated tickets before entering a park. Getting tickets that are already activated from SoG would eliminate that step, which could be a big time savings.
