10 Years ago, I thought this was the best place in the World :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
Maybe because I had fond memories of watching the show on Sunday afternoons w/ my dad. :flower: :flower:
My question is...thru all the posts...It seems that many many people feel that this is very boring. The kids (11 & 12) have seen the Swiss Family Robinson movie once. Will they dislike it? Was it just special to me because of the times w/ my dad? I should probably visit for my own benifit, but... :confused3

We visit it every trip. Oftentimes, we visit it first. My dad makes it so corny, dancing a jig to the Swisskapolka everytime. I thought that once my brothers and I reached driving age, it might've stopped...Nope. He still acts just as corny everytime. While it's not a favorite (not even close to one), it still provides us with memories and humor every trip - and that alone is worth it.

I am 37, and this has always been, and always will be one of my favorites. I took my 3-year old son on it for the first time last month (it was a mother-son trip, DH thinks it would be boring!) and he loved it, though he did get a little scared the higher we got. He is definately mama's boy, wondering what it would be like to live there!

I would hate to "waste time" if the kids would not get out of it what I did. :listen: let me restate "I" would get enjoyment :confused3 Should I skip it for other attractions they would love?

While I wouldn't wait in line for it at all, if there's no line, it's a quick trip up and down. A diversion...but something to do when everything else is mobbed. I wouldn't necessarily place it as must-see, but if you tell your kids about your experiences with SFR, they might get more out of it than you think.

My oldest daughter (14 yrs old next month!) has two favorites at MK - SFR treehouse and Tom Sawyer's Island. She was bummed that we couldn't do TSI last trip! I think she loves the creativity/imagination of these two special WDW places. The attraction isn't thrown in your face, you get to explore it pretty much at your own pace.
