Hello everyone!!
I have been reading lots of pre-trip reports and finally have decided to write my own. The title comes from my DS, she only has one daughter and she tells me anytime we go anywhere we are chaos. With 4 kids, two with ADHD, its always a messy adventure. We will be invading WDW May 3-9, 2008. We will be staying at AKV, our first trip home.
Here is the cast of characters of this trip:
Myself:
I am 39 and a confirmed Disney fanatic. I own a Dairy Queen in MI, and love to read. My spare time is spent
, reading and managing my 4 blessings. I am the planner of the family.
DH: He is 40 and I have turned him into a Disney fanatic. We Disneymooned 13 years ago. He helps feed my obsession. He is the numbers guy in the house and is always reigning in my spending. I did talk him into buying DVC this past year, not really sure how I got that by him. I plied him with good beer and promises of our own bedroom at WDW.
DD: Our oldest just turned 11, and I thing going on 13. She has started spending too much time in front of the mirror. She has lost the love of princess, but not the love of Disney.
DD: Our middle is 9 years old and very competitive. Give her a challenge and she will exceed anything you put up for her. I think being the middle child makes her work for attention. She is my tinkerbell, or stinkerbell and I like to call her. She does not handle change well and can be incredibly stubborn.
DS & DS: Yes they are twins! They just turned 6 and both have ADHD, the last two years have been very tough. Starting school this year was rocky, but I think we have them on the way to being successful. They both have red hair, and yes they have the tempers to go along with it. A by product of their ADHD is incredibly low frustration levels. Its something we are constantly managing.
This trip is a test for me. I am trying to not go commando style, take is slow and enjoy the little things. My kids love to swim so I am trying to build in lots of time at the pool. We have never stayed at a Deluxe so I know there will be lots of things to do around AKL.
Next post will include our dining plans and pictures of The Seymour Chaos Clan.
