We did the character breakfast on the Lily Belle on my first ever trip to WDW! It's where Pluto decided I looked good enough to eat and put my entire upper body (I was sitting in a chair and didn't know he was behind me) in his mouth. Needless to say, I was more than a little afraid of Pluto for many many years to come.
I can't imagine why Pluto would scare you??
I also have to wonder if maybe they don't do TS meals when they're at Disney. . . especially since I read ahead and saw they're staying off-site with a large group - maybe they do dinner at their condo or whatever?
Maybe... I've just come to the conclusion that I love Disney more than the average person, and there really aren't any people IRL that want to talk about it as much as I do. But seriously, don't ask me how many days I have left until I leave, unless you want to hear about my entire trip.
Thanks! Yes, Phalen likes hats. I can usually find them on clearance for him, since he wears an ADULT MEN'S medium/large The hat he has on in the pictures was a $3.00 find at Target on clearance
I find this super humorous... Because Josh has a small head - I actually used to buy his hats at Gymboree when I managed the store - they seemed to fit him the best.
Now, we all know I love me some WDW . . . but Hawaii does sound nice
I agree, maybe we should do our Dismeet there???
Jo-Ann's - well, you know how my trip there went yesterday - SO NOT HELPFUL!!! I was thrilled when they opened, but I expect them to have what I need and they don't
I remember when I first started sewing, I could sit in there for hours and just be overwhelmed... Not so much anymore... I can never find exactly what I want - which really sucks when you have a distinct visual in your head.
I used the last little bit of the orange dot on V's skirt yesterday.
If anyone is at their JoAnn's and finds the orange dot fabric like on V's skirt (the dots are about the size of a quarter - they have a new dot which is much smaller, and that is not the right one) - please let me know and be prepared to buy me a couple yards of it. It's not imperative that I get it right away, but I would like to have some on hand because it makes the Goofy stuff perfect.
Stuff with wills, etc. freaks me out. . . but I'm glad you have all your ducks in a row!
I agree, I don't like doing it one bit...
Here's hopin' you get all your planned stuff done today! I need to work on mine!
I was happy I got a lot done yesterday.
we did put 20% down but still owed about $370,000 on our loan (was interest only) so they are cancel about $210,000 of my debt, just don't know how this all works out with the taxes and haven't met with my tax lady yet since still waiting on other paperwork first!
hope you won't have to fork out any extra $$ on your house!
I really hope your taxes go well for you this year Lisa.
Geez, how did I fall so far behind?!
Love the TT bag and the Goofy dress. It will look so cute with leggings and converse. Can't wait to see it in your TR
Thanks so much! I am pretty excited to see everything in action too. I really hope that V gets some extra lovin' from Goofy - that would just make her day!
How precious! She looks adorable in her outfit!
Thanks - I will let her know.
THAT IS FABULOUS!!!! And I just love that she screamed when she saw the skirt
Yup, she screamed!

She's been beggin' for a skirt to go with her Goofy t-shirt for a few weeks, but I'd never planned to make the skirt. I am super glad I did, because even though it was so simple to make, it really turned out fun... Even Allison said she
might want one for Mickey.
I am just loving that skirt. I am with your DD, I nearly screamed with delight when I saw it and it's not even for me. I especially love how you did the trim at the bottom.
Thanks Corri... The trim on the bottom was an after thought... I did buy it a couple of weeks ago with the lime green dot - but I really didn't know what I was going to do with it??? I wasn't even sure it would work sticking out of the hem like that - but I really like how it turned out too.
That is a super cute skirt and I love her reaction when she saw it. I love the shirt she made too! Good job!
Wishing you and Josh good luck tomorrow with the surgery. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you all day.
Thank you so much! (I don't think I know your first name... And I like to address people properly... Or I could just give you a name, like I've done for a few others???

)
And thank you for the well wishes for Josh today.
I love love love the skirt and she did a fabulous job on the shirt.
Thanks Chiara... I will be sure to tell her!
I'm a little far behind but wanted to say that your Test Track bag looks great. The Goofy ice cream dress is going to look great on your DD. For some reason I had something else in mind when you were talking about an ice cream dress. V's skirt came out really cute and I love the trim on the bottom. Her t-shirt is awesome!!! I'm so impressed that she designed that herself.
I know - I think there was some confusion about the icecream dress - I don't think I was clear that it was the name of the pattern I was using and not necessarily the theme of the dress.

Sorry about that. However, I do have an actual icecream themed outfit planned for the girls' sweet 16 trip in 2014... I've even purchased the fabric for that one already.
And thanks for the compliments on the other stuff... I just keep pluggin' along. However, I've really been working hard this last week, since I know I won't get much done with Josh in the hospital. I will let V know that you are impressed.
Congrats on the Mickey Mail! You girls must be really excited now.
We are getting really excited! We are just trying not to think about it too much right this minute, since we have kind of a big week coming up with Josh and the furniture being delivered (I still need to repair ours - I was gonna do that last night, but I was too tired).
Good luck to Josh with his surgery. I hope he has a speedy recovery.
Thank you.
Popping out of lurkdom to say:
1.) EVERYTHING you sew just seems to turn to gold. I love it all!
2.) I am praying that Josh's surgery goes flawlessly and he has a super fast recovery.
Sunshine
Welcome Sunshine!!! Thank you so much! I hope you'll continue to stick around and follow along.
And thank you for the well wishes for Josh.
Yeah I already know that I will want a machine with a larger hoop but figured this onevwould be a great starter machine.
I agree... I keep debating on what to get. I know I am going to get something. I also know that I can't afford to get the 5x7 hoop right this minute, but I could probably squeeze in a 4x6 pretty easily. I am just afraid I will have hoop envy right away. It would sure make my life a lot easier though, because something is better than nothing???

I am going to give it some thought. I have not purchased a brand new machine since my serger last spring - and honestly, I don't use my serger as much as I thought I would. I did use it for the first time in months on V's Icecream dress and Goofy skirt though - so I am very glad that I have it.
It definitely has the USB port but I can't remember if there were any big differences or not except the 2nd one comes with a carrying case which is nice for my sewing classes.
See, and this is the thing I am a stickler on... My new embroidery machine must come with a USB port. DH doesn't get it - because every time we are out and about, he comes across an embroidery machine and says "You should get this one..." and I look at it and say "No" flat out. He almost looks insulted when I tell him that - but I just say... "It doesn't have a USB port - I
need a USB port." I am not going to haul my embroidery machine up and down the stairs every single time I want to put a design on it. I am hoping that if he ever decides to buy me one - he will remember the necessity of a USB port.
Love the skirt and it goes so well with the shirt which she did a fantastic job on. She definitely got her design talents from her mom.
Thanks!

Yah, they say that kids learn more by watching than anything else - so a lot of things just come very naturally to V because of watching me. I've never once sat down and taught her how to use Photoshop, she just does it on her own.

Same with sewing, except for the initial few days, she has just learned by watching me (which isn't always the best way to do things). The other day, she sat down at her new Christmas machine (which she hasn't done for a few weeks) and she asked me how to thread it - I told her to pull out her manual and look.

That's what I would have had to do, since all of our machines thread so differently.
Good luck to Josh. I had a lumbar discetomy 4 years ago. The day after was the worst for me.
Thank you... Yes, I am very worried about the day after. That's the day he is supposed to be released...
Adorable! Love the fabrics (I'm a sucker for dots). She did a great job on her shirt too!
Thanks!

I will let her know.
Today is the big day for Josh. I just wanted to say, again, how much I appreciate your prayers and support. I don't ask for prayers often, because I understand that many people have many belief systems, and I don't want to offend. But if you pray and you feel inclined, please send some extra our way today.
I have been trying hard not to think about Josh's surgery, I don't do well with being put under myself, so just the thought of Josh going under makes me

I am sure it will be fine though. We have to leave for the hospital at 8:30am and I am hoping to be home by about 5pm... I am going to wait for Josh to get out of surgery and settled in his room, then I need to head home to make dinner for V (Alli will be at a bday party tonight). I plan to go back to the hospital tomorrow with the girls, but I have to run and get groceries in the morning first - becuase of Josh - I am not sure when I will have the next opportunity. We will spend the day there and hopefully he will be released, as well. I will try to update when I can... I will probably be trying to surf the net all day with my phone, but I know I have really awful reception at the hospital, so I don't know how productive I will be.
So, have a great day everyone.
D~
