~~~SEWING my way to POFQ ~ American Girl outfits & Custom Park Bags! ~~~
Others have answered, but Magical Express is wonderful!!! SO much easier than a rental car and you can't beat free.
I love it. Dots, dots and more dots.
I finally figured that out, too, but now that I go solo I'm not so much into buying sourvenirs -- just being there is enough for me. One year I was throwing stuff out because we couldn't fit everything in the suitcases. I guess that's why they sell suitcases at the resort gift shops.
I'm hoping under the new Obama jobs plan the smiley people will be able to hire a staff to make some more smileys. I REALLY need a little yellow head hitting itself with a very big hammer.
:rotfl2:
go to www.glitter.graphics.com they have a bunch of smilies
Oooh, I can answer this one - there isn't a public computer to use to check in for your flight, but anyone at the front desk/concierge will gladly get you checked in and print your boarding passes for you. Easy-peasy.
good to know!
Thank you. :)
Awesome!!! Yah - that "wreck it" mentality is huge to get over - but once you do...
Thank you - I truly enjoy working with patience - she took my "hobby" and turned it into something that's a lot less work. Please, please, please post pics of your Great-Aunt's old Singer - I would love to see it!!! :lovestruc
I splurged and purchased a Britta filtered water bottle - make Disney water taste AMAZING. We had one for our first trip - saved us a fortune (you can see it stuck in my fanny pack for all the pictures)... Then we misplaced it when we moved. In the process, Britta quit making them... so I searched the internet for weeks for our 2008 trip, and finally found a retailer that sold them... paid a fortune to have it shipped to me (from 40 miles away, no less)... Saved us a ton of $$ on our 2008 trip. On our last day in the parks, Alli set it down on top of a garbage, and left it there. :eek: So, when I was at work the other day - and saw that Britta started making the filtered water bottles again... I screamed with excitement and bought one right away... and the best part is - all the filters I had from all the other bottles fit. Hopefully we won't lose this one. I highly recommend them! :thumbsup2
This is awesome. I've never had a chocolate cake cup - so the girls and I will probably be delighted. :) We've always paid for our meals OOp, so desserts were never an option, unless we were at a buffet. Bring on the chocolate cake cups!!! :rolleyes1
This is good to know too. I know this is really strange, but I am looking forward to riding the ME, so hopefully I will get to see a couple of the other resorts. :wizard:
Thank you so much... now, how in the world am I going to remember all of these snacks? Am I supposed to print this out and bring it with me???? :confused:
Welcome!!! I am glad you love my outfits. :thumbsup2
Click on my name on the left of this post, and a drop down menu will appear - one of the options will be to send me a PM. :lovestruc
I know, I cheated. I"m sorry. :guilty: I thought the eyelet would be awesome - and it just didn't do it for me. I am glad others like it though.
OK - now I have to go hunt down Zebra domes to see what they look like. It's a bummer that we aren't going to AKL until our last night - well, maybe that will be a good thing - then we can use up all our snack credits (if we have any) on Zebra Domes. :thumbsup2
Excuse me.... The suitcase is for my clothes. The girls are riding in the landing gear area of the plane. :confused3
Well, you should have used up those snack credits some how... I just can't invision how we are going to have any left - we are such foodies.
LOL - sorry, but that did make me laugh. So, did you buy it then? :rolleyes1
I will research it more... Can't be any worse than this:
Victoria packed into her seat (this is all our luggage) on the train in Europe... ROFL - no one really wanted to sit by us. :confused3 I was laughing so hard that tears were rolling down my face while I was taking this picture - people were just shaking their heads as they were walking by... and my DH - he chose to sit at the other end of the car... :confused3
Oh yah - I'm all about free!
Thank you. :lovestruc
And those suitcases are Sooooo expensive.
Self portrait?
OK - so I am home from work... ate lunch... time to go sew. Must finish this outfit. :woohoo:
D~
oh my that's a lot of luggage packed onto the seat! hope you pack alittle lighter or the ME people might strike :lmao:
Love it!
I promise to go through all the posts in the morning and welcome everyone properly... Until then WELCOME!!!!
I just had to hop on here and post outfit #49... Jasmine.
The "thing" hanging out up in the neck area is actually a headband - in case you were wondering. :lovestruc
Starting outfit #48 tomorrow.
Updating my siggy and heading to bed. :lovestruc
Just subscribing and saying wow! I love seeing your creations. They're so amazingly small. And believe me for our first trip I didn't have an embroidery machine either, so I know the amount of work you put into each applique!
I wish I was as fast as you/had as much time as you do!
Good luck!
Yah - that was an interesting trip. ROFL Yes - only planning one checked bag between the 3 of us for this trip. :thumbsup2
Welcome! Yes, the appliques are sooo much work, but I just love how they turn out. :cloud9:
Will be finishing up #47 this morning, and I will post it this afternoon. I have to run to Hancock's later today, so that will cut into a lot of my sewing time, since it's 40 miles away. I should have just bought what I needed while I was there last time, but I didn't realize it. :rolleyes1
I'm trying for that too....way to much $$ for checked baggage and will have our carry on too!
can't wait to see your next awesome creation popcorn::popcorn: will check in tomorrow afternoon, we are going to be gone over the weekend!
taking Megan is AG for Kanani's HI lunch, a Seattle Mariner's game tonight courtesy of the MoyerFoundation for all the Camp Erin kids, staying in Seattle tonight and then a baby shower early tomorrow past Seattle (hence the hotel stay, don't want to drive back and forth late and early). Have a great weekend!
But the house has to "pass that bill" even though no bill actually exists. Can't you create a guy smashing himself with a hammer with all your wise keyboard knowledge? ºoº
I buy the eyelet fabric and make my own ruffles -- it's expensive fabric though.
I am so glad to hear AKL is your last day -- pick up some zebra domes for me with your leftover snack credits and parachute them down as you fly over VA (the pilot might have to make a little detour, but I'm sure once you explain it to him/her s/he will understand the necessity of the detour.
Glad you have a plan for the girls :) Why on earth do you only want to take one suitcase anyway? If anyone needs a smilie with a hammer smacking it I think it's you! You are nuts.
The train luggage picture looks much more appropriate :)
go to www.glitter.graphics.com they have a bunch of smilies
I tried doing "Happy Birthday" for you from there but I am such a computer dunce I couldn't figure it out. princess:
go down to the bottom of the page to the "Search" type in what you are looking for and a bunch of different things pop up....click on the one you like then go to the URL link and copy then switch over to DIS window and paste the link....does that make sense? its like posting your photos from photobucket, etc.
Well, I will admit it, I actually felt like being lazy for once in my life. :thumbsup2
I will let the pilot know, I agree - he/she will probably understand. Maybe if I offer the pilot a zebra cake as a bribe, he might be willing to fly of VB?
Do you realize, to take one checked bag per person would cost me the equivalent of 5 more dresses? Um, not worth it... we can always do laundry. :wizard: Or, wear something twice??? :confused3
The train luggage picture looks much more appropriate :)
When traveling abroad, you get one free checked bag per person - I took advantage. :lovestruc Free is free. :wizard:
I was able to make our ADRs this morning. I had my dates off. I was able to get everything that we wanted. :)
This is probably one of my favorite... I just love working with this character.
I so want to be you when I grow up. Just amazing.
Tomorrow I am moving my embroidery machine back up to the dining room table so I can play while the kiddos play in theliving room and DH sleeps since he is back to work.
I am not a huge Gooofy fan, though my fondness of him at Dis highly increased because he loved my dd and wouldn't let her go (he liked her outfit), but that is one of the BEST outfits you have ever done! I LOVE it!!!
And I thought everyone got one free checked bag??? I haven't flown in about three years, but I used to fly all the time and was always granted a free checked bag. As Cheryl would say, must be a part of Obama's new plan to boost the economy.
I :love: the back. The front too, but I really :love: the back.
:goofy: <------- I think he likes it too
Southwest is one of the few remaining free bag airlines, which fortunately flies out of Albany. Oh, wait, that won't help D~ too much.
I own Disney stock, so all I can say is BUY those overpriced suitcases at the resorts. BUY BUY BUY <------- obviously in need of a little yellow headed guy throwing $ $ $ up in the air.
Let me go back and reread. Is this a thread D~ started about sewing? I get sidetracked sometimes.
:moped: <---- taking the sidetrack
Thank you... That really means a lot coming from you... Since I feel like I am casing you all the time.
Unfortunately, no. So, in an effort to save $$, maybe the girls and I will take the Grayhound?
THanks. :) That outfit was a lot of fun to make.
I should really check fares on SW.
Cheryl... I knew it... You're loaded. I could just tell by the way you type.
Yes, let's try and stay on topic please. :rolleyes1
I am taking a small break from my "52 outfits in 132 days" mission, and working on a quick BG. I got the hard part done tonight, and I should be able to finish up in the morning. Now, if I can talk the girls into making some hair accessories for me - that would be splendid.
D~
Just catching up - LOVE the ribbon ruffles on the dolly feliz. You are right Goofy is such fun to work with.
