Isn't that the cutest????

Surprise!!! I finished it early... I got some good Gutermann thread for Mr. Rocket - and this turned out to be one of my best appliques ever - and NO swearing. :cool1:

This bag turned out really awesome - even by my standards. :wizard:

I do have to say - I had to take the pictures tonight - and I had no natural light - so the photos really don't do this bag justice.

Oh - and Stephanie... I love your quilt! :)

Both bags are awesome! Figment and Mickey are probably two of my favorite characters. I love both bags! Your fabric choices on the Figment bag are really nice. I love the complimentary prints and stripes.

D -----> Both bags are just amazing:goodvibes

What is the AG site? Is this something I want to join. I really don't need more things to become obsessed about though my DD might like it if it gets her more dolls.:lmao: She is already thinking about getting McKenna for her bday:rolleyes1

Thank you! I am very happy with how it turned out - I also love the fabric combos - it is the perfect Figment bag. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I sent you the links. :thumbsup2

Not much going on today - I have kind of a weird day ahead of me... DD #2 landed herself in "Saturday school"... I guess she has a few missing assignments in Language Arts - I feel so badly for her, because she is just a whiz in math and pretty much anything else - but long story short - before we moved here, the girls went to a private school in my home town, and while Josh was in Iraq, I was concerned that V was in 1st grade - couldn't read at all. I brought it up to the teacher and they all told me it was just fine... I found out later that they didn't want to worry me with all the stuff I had going on with Josh. I truly believe the school had the best of intentions. FF to a year later, we moved here, and her 2nd grade teacher was just apalled that V couldn't read... So, for 3 years, V worked very hard to get caught up - but even to this day, she really struggles with anything English related... And even though she "tested" into this class - I really think they are moving waaay too fast for her. I brought the issue up to her English teacher during conferences, and she just shrugged me off. :confused3 I am about ready to go to her counselor and see if there is anything we can do???

So, anyways, I plan to stop at the PO and mail the Figment bag... Drop V off at Saturday school. Take my Edge in for an oil change (I am overdue - and that makes me ill). Then I will hit all my normal haunts... Target (thinking about printing off my Mini-Planner, they have 10 cent prints this week), and then Walmart... Who knows what else, since I have to waste 3 hours in town... :rolleyes1 Then I will come home and start working on my next bag order. :lovestruc

I love the colors on this one! I like it better than Marianne's (but don't tell her I told you that!!!). I just prefer vibrant colors.

I got my approval for both sites but haven't had time to look at them. I had lots of laundry to do yesterday. I three loads of sick dog laundry earlier in the week which threw off doing the rest. And I was pissy at dh yesterday so that made me stay in the laundry room and do all my ironing too. I have another load in right now though, but once it's done I hope to finish the skirt for dd's AG doll. I have found that the AG clothes are somewhat difficult to put on for dd. The Grecian dress was even hard for me to get on and the pants on some outfits are tight. Samantha obviously ate too many Christmas cookies. The hangers finally came -- and yes they were Fed Ex'd and arrived in VB on Dec 30 but the PO delivered them and we finally got them 1/5. DD spend the entire evening in her room assembling her wardrobe.

We watched Felicity the other night and I quite liked it. Agree, Samantha was better, but I still enjoyed Felicity. Will likely watch Kit today as long as dd wants to do it before the debate is on.

Sorry V has Sat school. How is she with her creativity and writing? I ask b/c my ds is a whiz at Math and Science, but he is slower with reading and really struggles at getting his thoughts down on paper (or even coming up with what to write). According to his teacher he is a right at grade level for reading, but we had to have him tutored last spring to get him to improve (and the tutor charged as much as I make an hour so clearly I went into the wrong field!). In all fairness though, the tutor was excellent and worth it. My ds also is really bad at mumbling when he reads. Unless I keep reminding him (nagging) to read loud and clear I can't even understand what he is reading. I'm sure he'll end up going into engineering or something like that. My dd who is two years younger reads way better than he does (she's very advanced though). But was just curious how V does with writing b/c my ds has trouble even summarizing what he has read and writing book reports. I had to help him with one earlier in the year, but he just wrote one himself without help from me for a school assigned book, so I guess that's progress.

Let's see, are we supposed to be discussing your trip here? I would definitely bring a stash of cash for incidentals. We went to Walmart and got groceries for our room. I can't be without my diet pepsi in the morning! We bought yogurt and cereal and ate most our breakfasts in the room. We are not fast food people, so I would pack snacks like granola bars instead of buying airport food. I guess you would have to buy drinks at the airport though -- I just don't fly anymore. Just sew more bags and outfits -- maybe after paying for all of us (Cheryl, Lisa, Marianne, myself ..... and I think you should invite Liz, Michelle, Diane, etc. as well) you'll then have a little spending money for yourself.

Since I am printing off my Mini-Planner today, I figured I better get a move on posting my last few pages...

Day 9... I actually have 2 versions of this one, I think I like the first one better though. Opinions???

I love the :figment: bag. The appliques are superb and the stripey fabric is perfect. When we went as a family Journey Into Imagination was always the first ride we did.

I've found there to be a variation in how well certain outfits fit, too. A couple things I made fit fine without a t-shirt, but when a t-shrit was added suddenly got too tight. Even the popover dresss seems snug putting it on.

:confused3

Oh, I forgot, I AM going on a trip. :yay: :banana: :cheer2:

The distinguished diser from New York casts her ballot for Option One.

LOVE the Figment bag!!!! The Mickey wallet is super cute too!!!
Once again, fabulous work! :lovestruc

I'm only running on 3/4 of a cup of coffee right now, so forgive me if I forget anything LOL
1) I like your Figment fabric choices - I was trying to decide if I like my UPB better or this new one . . . I can't decide!!! This one has more of the rainbow, but I also love mine.

2) Saturday School for V - I hope your experience today is better than my friend's here in Charlotte. She took her daughter to Saturday School and NO ONE WAS THERE!!! No teachers!!! Even though they're the ones that told her to show up!

3) I love the newest mini-planner page! I like the first one (where you see the whole castle) best too.

4) Were you successful in your nail art supplies shopping?

5) I have NOT updating my TR in a couple of days and I feel horrible about it! I haven't had a minute to sit and make some more pages!!! Maybe today? Although Finn has a birthday party smack in the middle of the day and I don't know what to do with Phalen because it's one of those "hostess pays per kid" parties and I don't want to add to their count and I totally flaked on finding someone to watch him . . .

D, amazing work as always! Totally in :love: with the Figment bag! When shall I receive it in the mail? :confused3
:lmao::rotfl2:

Love both mini pages ... however, if it was MY book, I think I'd go with the first one. But since it isn't my book, I'm anxious to hear which one you'll pick! :goodvibes

LOVE the figment bag. I'm glad that Mr. Rocket is enjoying his Guterman thread. The applique stiches do look great so I guess you just have to keep feeding him the Guterman. Love the Mickey wallet and your pixie dust.

I hope V has a good day at Saturday School. I wonder if I can sign my kids up for that? :) Actually I have to bring my DD to extra help for math before school next week. We have to be there at 6:45 so that should be a fun wakeup call.

I'm no help because I like both of the pages for your MK day.
