~~~SEWING my way to POFQ ~ American Girl outfits & Custom Park Bags! ~~~
I have to work today, so no sewing. But I should be able to sew all weekend. :) Or most of it anyways. I was able to get another good portion of the bag I am working on done - I plan to finish it up this weekend. :)
:goodvibes :cool1: :woohoo:
Well, since we added an extra day, that means an extra day of food... Had to update the dining checklist, and here is what I came up with. :wizard:
another awesome page! Have you printed any out yet?
That looks great! It is a smart way to keep track of everything. I lost track of the snacks part of our way through the week when we had the dining plan. Then at the end we bought some stuff to take in the car with us and we bought each of the girls' teachers a Mickey rice crispy treat.
Thanks... I am hoping it will work for us. :thumbsup2
I have not printed any yet, I want to print them all at the same time, and make sure I am done with all my edits first. I will probably wait until I have our trip paid for - then I will start printing. How about you?
Well I had the first ones I did printed...but then I had to redo them because of changes. I should have waited too. So now they're sitting in my computer waiting for me to go get ink. :laughing:
I got my Ultimate Disney Bag today, and I have to say, it's even cuter in person!! I can't wait to take it to Disney World in a couple of weeks! You did a great job :thumbsup2 (I wish you had put some business cards in it that I could hand out. I know people will be asking where I got it!)
Bummer about printing them out already... You should do what I plan to do... Put them on an SD card, take them into Target (new policy in the photolab - they no longer police copyrighted photos - however, I can't be certain that every lab got the memo)... Then I plan to print them as 4x6 photos to fit in my album... It would be waaaay cheaper than buying ink. I know the prices vary by store - but even if they were 20 cents each - it would still be cheaper than ink.
I am so glad you got it and that you like it... I always worry that people will receive my items and hate them. :confused3 Thanks for letting me know... If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. :thumbsup2
I would send business cards with, but I have heard stories of Disney not liking that - so I really don't want to draw too much bad attention to myself. But if people ask, feel free to tell them where you got it. :lovestruc
Have you found the tag yet???? That's one of my favorite parts about making the bags... Hiding my tags. :thumbsup2 Kind of like "Where's Waldo". Hehehe.
Love it! Remy is too cute! :goodvibes
Thanks... You should have gotten your test bag yesterday or today. :thumbsup2 I put it in the mail on Tues. :wizard:
I have to run to the PO sometime this morning. I plan to sew the rest of the day, and I hope to get close to finishing this current bag I am working on. I do have to say, that applique on this bag is one of my favorite - the stitching turned out fabulous... Mr. Rocket is slowly redeeming himself. popcorn::
I am also working on a couple of side projects that I've been able to slip in here and there, however none of them are finished. I have one AG dress that needs to be made, then I think I am planning to take a short Christmas break to get some holiday gifts made for my girls and a few other family members.
I always feel so badly because I have made so many things, but I never keep them, and my girls have nothing that their momma has made - except for their outfits they wore to the wedding last spring - so I'm in the planning stages of making them each something spectacular for Christmas that they can use for our trip, as well. I am pretty excited about it, actually :banana:
Oh, and I was able to get a couple pages of my Mini-Planner done last night after DH went to bed... I really only have to redo the first few pages, since the rest stay the same. :woohoo:
I didn't see it, I'll have to look when I get home this afternoon!
Glad that Mr. Rocket is redeeming himself! I wonder what character will be on your newest bag???? I hope you get lots of sewing accomplished today. I'll be looking forward to seeing pictures! I can't wait to see what you have planned for your girls. I am sure if you make it, it will be spectacular. If you print out your mini-planner at the photo lab, will you be able to write on the pages?
How strange that the post you all quoted is AFTER... I recall this happening once before...
Yep, I planned to use a fine tipped Sharpie... I'll just slide the pictures out of the binder and write on the actual photo - like on our dining checklist.
Have fun looking. :surfweb:
Yes, very strange. It happened on the Disboutiquers thread this morning too. The Sharpie should work just fine. I wondered if you were going to have to use one. It is also nice because the pictures will be more firm than regular paper and won't crumple easily as you take them in and out of the binder.
That's what I was thinking too. :thumbsup2 I am debating on printing a few copies of this particular photo, to slide in the binder behind - in case I mess up. LOL
Diane, I forgot to give you the hint this morning about the bags I am making for my dds... The oldest is getting a bag that is based on a ride and a movie (one in the same). This is the one I am super excited about - if I can get my applique to turn out as nice as it looks in my head. popcorn:: The youngest, I just can't give hints for - but it is her FAVORITE character. :thumbsup2
Yup... I am homeschooling him. So far he loves it! He is progressing much faster than I thought he would. Even more amazing, he is retaining so much of it! This is a major issue for him. Even his doctors and therapists are noticing a difference in him.
He is still struggling with math and is still a non reader... for reading I am reading him one of the Harry Potter books. After the first of the year we will start back trying to teach phonics. I think the break from reading is helping...and we do a lot of talking about how important it is to be able to read. (as a side note, he has his own way of dealing with his inability to read. When he plays games on the Wii with his sister, he changes the language to Chinese...that way they are even! Neither of them can read!)
I think the no pressure system is working great for both of us!
Nini
Glad the hs is going well :) So smart of your ds to change the Wii to Chinese!!!
Adorable!!!!! Ratatouille is one of my favorites :lovestruc
QUESTION FOR YOU D~ -- AG doll related, not Dis, but you're my AG doll expert. Do shoes for an 18" doll fit the Bitty Babies? DD's friend has a Bitty Baby and I have some 15" patterns, but was curious about shoes as if I make her jammies I'd like to buy the bunny slippers at Michael's for her -- I just bought some for dd to put in her stocking for St. Nick's, but the package says 18".
D~got our package!!!
I had to peek, didn't open the card though....
LOVE the bag, and the coin purse wth the little green alien key chain is so cute! Megan loves them too! The quilting and your appliques are PERFECT!!! I will definately be sharing your etsy name when anyone ask where we got it.
The holiday dress is so cute too, will give that to Megan tonight!
also have a couple of mom's I volunteer with at school who are interested in your AG outfits so sharing with them too! hope it will bring you some extra business!!!
thank you for all your beautiful work and friendship!!!
No, thank you... :hug: I am glad you all like them. :) I've been dying to share pictures of that wallet since I made it - it is just my favorite set. And the little alien key chain was a total accidental find. And thanks for passing along my name. :wizard:
Stay tuned for pics of the wallet, uploading them now. :lovestruc
ETA: Anyone that actually takes one of my bags into the parks... I would be forever grateful if you would let me post a picture of it in action in my Picasa album - I would be happy to blur out any faces.
This is probably my favorite set, ever. Toy Story runs a very close 2nd to Donald (I did not say that out loud) and it is certainly my all time favorite Pixar movie... I will save my "Top 10" list for another day.
I am sorry, but I still love my tags.
Then, after I had finished the wallet, I was at the MOA with my aunt and cousin doing some Christmas shopping, and I found these perfect TS Alien keychains... It couldn't have been more perfect for this set. :lovestruc
I love the Toy Story bag and coin purse. The little green alien is the perfect addition.
I love your tags as well. Do you mind me asking how you made your tags? I understand if you don't want to share though.
