~~~SEWING my way to POFQ ~ American Girl outfits & Custom Park Bags! ~~~
Oh... In May they just had up a fence with a "coming soon" sign for P&F. I never found any info on Cars. (Granted, DS would have been terrified anyway.)
they are both there back behind Mama Melrose....we just walked by though
:headache: Sorry that Mr.Rocket is still not acting right.
I was going to update my PTR when I realized I STILL don't have a PTR because I STILL don't have any trips planned. So Plan B is to update YOUR PTR with every aspect of my life.
You know how some people like the original Coke? Well, if Mr Rocket wants some original oil, I've got some.
Can't beat 30¢. <-----ok class, remember how to do ¢ ????
Miraculously we survived nine days of the film shoot. My son rented a house in Saratoga Springs for nine nights for the majority of the film shoot, and now he and two others are bunking with us. Then this weekend they're renting a smaller house.
The hardest was the day they were filming in the basement (where the main character lives) because any walking upstairs creaked the floors. The cat and I watched a lot of TV that day.
When I finally got to return to my beloved basement, imagine my surprise.
Why in heavens name was Ginger practicing pole dancing?
:confused: + :blush: = :mad:
SHE DID NOT LEARN THAT FROM ME.
When I questioned her, she said ask Dorrrine. Dorrrine knew nothing about it. Then I realized that I had misunderstood her. She meant ask DoRine.
I should have known. The clues were right there.
What have I been missing????
:sad2:
:rotfl2: You are too funny!
Cheryl we miss you and hope the filming is almost over so you can come back and play.
Me, too!
Four more days of just three of them staying with us, this weekend back to a full crew (but not sleeping here), and I don't dare ask about next week.
I got to see the footage today of my World Famous Dragon Head Puppet. It was a very short scene. For how many zillion hours I spent I hope that wasn't his only appearance.
ROFL... ACK - no poles - In case you all haven't noticed - My PTR is supposed to be "G" rated. :rolleyes1
G is for Ginger, right?
All Ginger, all the time.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Sometimes, Cheryl, you just crack me up. I'm surprised Ginger didn't have Rod in this scene. :rolleyes1
Without being too graphic, let's just say Ginger ate him up and he's passed by now.
:rolleyes1
I might get up to my sewing room for about an hour this morning - maybe... I am meeting up with my cousin and aunt for a day of Christmas shopping at the MOA - it should be fun - we've done this for a few years now. Then we always go to lunch somewhere cool in the mall. I am definately planning to swing into the Disney store (I wish they'd remodel it back to the old way), and the AG store... It should be an uber fun day... Then tomorrow - Mr Rocket is getting fired and I am bringing the Brother out, must finish this bag so I can get on with life.
D~
I miss our Disney store. I used to go and buy Disney dollars just because.
This morning while the crew was sleeping I hid out in the basement and tried hand appliquing again. I'm absolutely sure it's my machine that makes it so wonky and has nothing to do with my sewing abilities, hand-eye coordination, or drinking (you know, too much coffee first thing in the morning.)
Now back to D~'s regularly scheduled PTR.
:tongue:
Sure Cheryl... Whatever you say. :surfweb:
:tongue:
Are you sure??? I don't mind sharing this PTR with you, after all - I am really good at sharing. :thumbsup2
So, I worked on my dreaded applique that I've been trying to finish for a week - I finally broke down and set up one of the brothers again... It was so nice to just be able to sew. I got a huge portion of that applique done today - so I am very thrilled!
I got to spend some quality time at the MOA with my aunt and cousin, we had a lot of fun - we had lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. - did lots of shopping and enjoyed our day together.
I got a fun little doohicky for the bag I am currently making - I am pretty excited about it, because it was something that fell into my lap - and it just totally makes the bag... I can't wait to show you all - but you must wait until I finish the bag... Tomorrow, I hope.
Then, I saw this awesome shirt at TDS... I am in love with it!!! It so perfectly describes my love of Donald!
Cant wait to see the bag you're working on! :goodvibes
and oh Donald, he's cute. DBF's dad thinks he can talk like Donald. And well....I SUPPOSE it is SOMEWHAT similar....but not really. :rotfl2:
that's the perfect shirt for you D!!!
can't wait to see the bag!
Well, I managed to finish the applique tonight (yay me)...
One itty-bitty problem... One of the characters looks like he/she was hit in the face with a shovel - and there's not much I can do about it. It doesn't look horrible - just comical - that's all.
I have confidence that I will have the bag finished by lunch time... the applique was the hardest part.
Cheering for you!!
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
And we'll be the judge on if a character looks 'shovel-smacked' or not. :thumbsup2
Good luck and I can't wait to see what you made.
Goal today is to finish a pair of Easy fits and start on the shirt.
I'm sure it looks cute! you are very hard on yourself as it is ;)
can't wait to see it!
Thanks Lisa...
I am kind of irritated... I went to town this morning, specifically for zippers and cord for making piping... While I was there, I got a few other necessities (milk, bread, eggs...) So, I get home and eat breakfast, go get the stuff I just bought to get to work... The cashier never put it in my bag. Grrrr... So, I call the store, it wasn't "left behind" - so the person behind me probably got them... Two annoying things about this story... First, I bought the last 4 zippers in that size, so even if I was to go back, they wouldn't have them. Second, I live 20 miles from this store - So, I am not going back just for the cord... D~ will have to improvise....
OK - rant over... Off to figure out how to improvise... HOpefully I will be back in a few hours with pictures. :thumbsup2
D~
oh no, that sucks! sure you will figure out something!
hope they are refunding your money!
That stinks D~! I hope you write in a formal complaint about it!!!!! I hate getting home to find out that not all of my items made it into the bags and back into my cart. :headache: Especially items that you needed most.
Hey D, if you have any old yarn you might be able to use it as cording...or if you have kitchen twine. I have even used some cheap nylon closes line from the dollar tree store, 'cause it was the closest thing I had to 1/4 in cord late, late one night.
Finally got oldest DS married, still recovering. No pics yet...did a lot of work and today is the first day back online in over a week.
AND what I missed here! I am in total LOVE with the Figment bag! I have rarely lusted so much for anything, DH included... ok, not really. But that Figment bag is a very,very close 2nd to him. And he buys me sewing machines every few years...so that is saying a lot! I've loved everything you have done, but WOW!
And I do need to get some pics up. The Flower girl and my DN, Jr.B'maid, both wore Tangled dresses for the wedding rehersal. I made DN's and have scraps, hint,hint...
Also found several dozen 3-4 inch zippers in a few colors...could be used somehow on one of your bags? Ready for some more stuff? Not that I am trying to off load the overload in my sewing room, but it would be nice to be able to walk into the room and get to the sewing table without being attacked by stuff...
Keep up the great work, hope to be on more soon!
