Have you ever done an Incrediables dress? Or with the holidays a Jack/Sally from Nightmare? How about a firworks/Wishes one? I would love to see your take on Fantasia, Grim Grinning Ghosts, Dumbo!!!, Seven Dwarfs(I did SnowWhite and painted the dwarfs on a dress for my now 27yoDD and we went to Tokyo Disney-the Dwarfs followed us around for hours! and took her on rides!she was only 5yo then,still have the dress), and a whole ECPOT thing..countries, the Golf Ball, test track, the Seas,NEMO.... now you have ME doing it!

I brings me so much peace that she is having happy dreams about Jim....I always worry she will have bad, scary ones about the earthquake.... unfortunately Jim hasn't visited my dreams yet, my counselor says its a my brains way of protecting me.

Good news. My son just emailed and asked me to make four human size costumes for his film (in addition to a paper mache tree stump, huge dragon puppet, embroidered t-shirts for the shoe store scene, and 16 gift baskets for the cast and crew -- by Oct. 20) so I may not be back for a while. I think I'm going to be swamped and may have to give dis a back seat.

Sooooooooo you may have until Oct. 21 to get your photo up.

I suspect I won't be posting much in the next few weeks, but it's not because I've lost interest, just time!

I . You're really tempting me to get a machine I can hand applique on. My current one doesn't do the zig zag stitches close enough. And, I really like the fullness and colors of the derriere ruffles.

Oh, and yes, I am counting down. I am a glass half full type person, and I find that things go easier when my numbers get smaller rather than bigger. I dunno... I am just weird, I guess.

I should have read a little slower, got to excited by all the wonderfull stuff!

I do my best sewing in my sleep, actually. Laying awake in the middle of the night is when I have come up with some of my best ideas.

I have not heard of Ultra Suede. I will have to look into it.

It is expensive, but with the time I save when appliqueing,it is sometimes worth it. It has a suede finish, duh, but can be embossed with stamps, like is done with rubber stamps and an iron on velvet, and stamped with some inks, so it is way cool. And they have animal prints that rock...

I did go over to the Disboutiques thread. WOW,WOW,WOW! I have spent all morning sampling all the stuff, I did have to skip every several pages, I am supost to be working on stuff, like clearing the sewing room to fit my machines back in...Wedding stuff, and a Tangled dress to do, after I paint/print the designs on the fabric. DN is very nice, but likes it as close a possible to what she sees in the movie, not her fault, but Mine!

Would love a thread with a list of patterns, techniques, sites, and so on. And if anyone is near Charleston,SC, or within a 2 hour drive and needs help, just yell..or near WDW,or Charlotte,NC, DS in school up there..

Will return you all to your regular running sewing machines now!

I think this one is probably my favorite so far. I just love the colors on this one. Plus my DS3 loves Pluto.

My father passed away over 22 years ago, when I was 16, and my mother never has dreams of my father and is now quite mad at him for not visiting. He's gonna get an earful when she meets up with him

My mom passed away when I was 16, as well... This Christmas will be 20 years.

I dreamed about her a lot while I was pregnant with Allison - I don't recall any dreams about her since.

I can't imagine not sewing a satin stitch around the applique pieces - I really like the finished look it gives. I haven't looked into this stuff yet - but I will.

So, I've had a busy day today. I made 2 tutus... crazy stuff. Then I had to take pictures, because my photographer went on vacation and didn't tell me. Currently, she is primping herself in front of the bathroom mirror to go to the park across the street...

Ok - so I didn't get nearly as much accomplished today as I wanted to.

I had grandiose plans - and then I had to go to the post office... Then V needed me to come to town and get her earlier... Then my neighbor invited me for a walk... I got a lot done today - just not sewing related.

On the flip side - my neighbor and I walked for 2 hours - we guestimated at 6 miles, but I won't take my new car on the gravel road - so we aren't exactly sure. I asked DH if I could clock it with his truck, and I just got a dirty look - LOL He drives his truck on the gravel all the time.

Well, I made it to the fabric store (and found an AWESOME AWESOME pirate fabric ON SALE!!) but when i got to Kohls to make a return the line was insane, so I left. . . and got a phone call from a friend that she and her 7 month old were stranded at the Charlotte airport for the night - so I went and rescued them and we all went to dinner Poor things! They were flying from Charleston, SC to Lexington, KY and they missed their flight by only a minute and then the flight they were rescheduled on got cancelled. . . I hate it for them, but the baby snuggle time!!!
