~~~SEWING my way to POFQ ~ American Girl outfits & Custom Park Bags! ~~~
Well, I'm here....just when I am on my phone it is hard to comment....(that is my story and I am sticking to it!)
Just got back from dinner with the family. We were supposed to go to my favorite steak place, but my son was a wee bit late picking up my grand daughter, so we were a bit late leaving, and by the time we got there the wait was over an hour!!!!
So, we took a vote and ended up at Arby's! Of course, we topped it off at Dairy Queen!
Hope you had the Valentin'e Day of your dreams!
I want to see pictures!!:cool2:
Okay, now that I got that out of my system, I would be happy to wait to see your latest creation! I am sure it will be worth it!
I am still following along....just been lurking and not posting.
Good morning to everyone that's still following. ROFL... I'm just giving ya'all some crapola. :cool1: I know the real reason you continue to follow along - I am just charming. :lovestruc :rotfl2:
Anyways...
We had a nice Valentine's... Josh never left his PJs all day... I sewed all day... We had hot ham n' cheese sandwiches with Mac n' cheese (from a box, no less) for dinner... I did splurge on dessert though - we had a red velvet cake roll (purchased from the bakery) with vanilla icecream... Josh and Alli watched Terminator 3... Victoria did her nails... And I sewed some more. :lovestruc All in all, it was a great day.
I managed to finish my bag yesterday! I am super excited about it. Depending on the lighting this morning before I go to work, if I can get decent pictures, it will get in the mail this morning, if not, it will have to wait until tomorrow. I am way ahead of schedule because I actually had the applique cut out and ready to go ahead of time. I think this person will like the bag. :lovestruc I hope so, anyways... That is always one of my biggest fears. :eek:
:banana: :banana: We are at 20 days until our trip!!! :banana: :banana:
The girls and I are getting so excited... also a bit sad, because we know it will be over before we know it.
I was finally able to get Victoria to go through her pin lanyard last night - she is keeping everything, except 2 pins. LOL That's OK though - we have pleanty. :thumbsup2
Now, if I can just get Allison to try on her shorts... :rolleyes1I tried to talk her into it last night, but that didn't go so well. I'll try again tonight.
For the remainder of the week, since I am ahead of schedule - I plan to finish my hideous capris, and I have GOT TO work on our t-shirts - or we will have none that I made. If I can get all of them done (high hopes), then I will start on my extra bags (Toy Story and the Zebra bag). :thumbsup2
D~
I am still here just insanely busy. :( also I had not internet at work yesterday.
Sounds like a lovely valentines day.
Figures... I knew you all were just using me for my excessively prompt photo taking skills. :rolleyes1
D~
Sorry, I can't see your replies. I'm no longer here.
If I was still here, I'd congratulate you on finishing this bag. Sounds pretty cool, can't wait to not see pictures of it ... since I'm not here, and thus can't see any. Glad you had a nice Valentine's Day! Sounds a bit like mine. :thumbsup2
I'm still here. Most of the time its just a quick peek because I am busy with work. I was thinking about doing a PTR since I have so much fun reading everyone elses, but I just don't have time.
Valentine's Day was low key around here. I'm not one for big celebrations, so it was perfect. Your day/evening sounds like it was great.
Good job on getting the bag done ahead of schedule! Its a great feeling when that happens.
I need to pull out our shorts and get DS and DH to try them on. I think DH and I are okay, but DS has grown about 2" :scared1: since he last wore his shorts. Not worried about width (thank goodness for adjustable waistbands!), more the length. We leave in 23 days! :woohoo: I still need to finish the trip journal for my DS (my nieces' were part of their Christmas gift with their bags), at least one shirt for all of us, my trip planner and decide if I am buying the prepaid photopass cd. Also trying to figure out how much sewing time I'll have before our trip to see what else I can get done before we leave. I better get moving on all of this!
Aw Good!!! It's you and me Lisa... everyone else jumped ship, it seems. :eek:
D~
I've always got your back :goodvibes
yay for finishing the bag!
sounds like a nice V- Day....low key is good!
we went to my mom's for dinner - she cooked and didn't want help with dishes - bonus for me!!!
we are leaving tomorrow for DLR, bringing my laptop, so if I get a chance will try to check in
hard to believe your trip is almost here :banana:
<- I am just charming. :lovestruc :rotfl2:>:sick: Sorry, I can't find the picture of the smilie vomiting. Maybe Cheryl could teach me how to make one.
I if were still following your ptr I would let you know that I made dh a lovely shrimp and pasta dinner last night :flower3: But like Liddy, I am boycotting your ptr. I really am only posting b/c this is MY ptr. And I will be glad to continue to post MY pictures here.
I still here as well D . . . Forever! BwaaHaaa!!!!
Your bag sounds amazing. I can't wait until you are able to share the pictures of it. I am drooling in anticipation.:lmao:
Congrats on 20 days, only 21 days for me.:woohoo::woohoo: Isn't it strange that we Disers start getting sad about the end of our trips before they even start.:confused3:rotfl2:
Well thats enough from me, I have some capris to finish, and a bag, oh and that flag you volunteered me for.:thumbsup2
Oh I think I might be able to get Lidian back for you . . .
I got Reisling!!!:lmao::lmao:
Not sure if I posted that I am still posting because I have no life LOL.
today I am feeling overwelmed because I can't figure out how I am going to get in all this sewing DD wants for our trip.
I have exactly one outfit done :(
Though yesterday the boy had a set of shorts from our August trip on and they still fit so I am going to go and check out our August Outfits and see if I can get by with making him a few new shirts :)
Tink (I could have sworn you told me your name....)
I did, um, at least I think I did. :confused3 Anyways, its Loree. Or Lori, Laurie, Lorie, Laura if you prefer. Doesn't really matter to me, I answer to almost anything . . . within reason.
Have you figured out if we are in any of the same parks on the same days???? I am not sure what your schedule is???
D~
I don't think we are in the parks on the same days. We moved things around a little bit after my FIL/MIL decided not to chance it with his health problems. I think we have it set now, but that could change again when we see BIL/SIL on the weekend. That's part of the reason why my planner isn't done. This is our plan (with ADRs) so far:
March 9 and 10: Travel days, hoping to make it to Knoxville, Kentucky the first day and then try to find some place close to Daytona the second day.
March 11: Check in. :banana::banana::banana: Probably later in the day as my BIL wants to visit Daytona beach and the speedway first. Either going to hang out at the pool or go to DTD once we do check in. My SIL wants to go offsite for dinner but I am going try to convince them to do a restaurant in DTD since we wanted to eat there but it didn't work out this trip.
March 12: Magic Kingdom - Crystal Palace breakfast before park opens, Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner. Must do rides not figured out yet, that'll probably start this weekend. I know that IASW, Buzz Lightyear and POTC will be on that list, as well as all the mountains.
March 13: Epcot - We will be there for early EMH and try to get Soarin' and a couple of other rides in early. DH, DS and I really want to explore more of World Showcase as we spent most of our time in Future World last time. The original plan was to send the kids back to the resort with MIL/FIL after dinner while DH, BIL, SIL and I did WS at night. Now we will probably come back after dinner at The Wave in time for a few rides and Illuminations. I will definitely be having at least one 7 layer Margarita at some point this day! :goodvibes
March 14: Animal Kingdom - Dinner at Tusker House. Not sure if we are going to hit early EMH or not. Depends on how tired everyone is at this point. We will either check out other resorts or DTD (if we didn't make it there on Sunday) and then go to AK around lunch or go to AK early and then resorts/DTD in the afternoon before going back for dinner.
March 15: Magic Kingdom - Try to hit any rides we missed the first day, see some parades, souvenir shopping, etc. Monorail over to the Poly for dinner at 'Ohana.
March 16: Hollywood Studios - Must do TSM as it wasn't open the last time we were there and we have heard so much about it. Probably the most anticipated park for the kids - have to do Indiana Jones, Star Tours, Muppets, ToT, RnRC and Lights, Camera, Action. Dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe. Love to see Fantasmic too if it works out.
March 17 and 18: Travel days, heading back home. :eek:
My BIL also wants to hit a bike shop and take in a hockey game in Tampa, although that was when my FIL was coming. He'll likely be on his own if he does those things. The last time we talked to him, he also mentioned that he might have to hit a Honda dealership because his CUV will need its first oil change at some point during the trip. :sad2:
It is going to be an interesting trip as DH, DS and I are the 'up and at em early, go all day and night' types and BIL, SIL and nieces are more the 'get up later, let's take a break, go to bed early' types. The two girls are not adventurous at all and BIL/SIL want them to be with our DS as they will try more things when he is around. We've only done day trips with them in the past, so as I said, going to be interesting. I can't wait!
Just had to add - we got our Mickey mail today!
Yeah for 20 days!! It has gone quick.
Sounds like a nice Valentine's day. My DH headed out of town yesterday morning so I got to hang out with the kids last night and watch them eat all the candy they got in school. I did give my husband the valentine card I made for him before he left. My DD thought it was cute but I'm not sure what my DH thought. I just could not spend $3.50 on a plain card. Of course if I had shopped for one before Monday afternoon I might have had more success.
I'm so jealous of everyone headed down to the world in the next month.
I bought a whole bottle of Riesling at the wine store. Along with a bottle of something else that we drank most of last night. :rolleyes1
Grats on getting Mickey Mail! :woohoo: I got mine yesterday! :banana::banana::banana:
BIL has been planning the driving days and when I saw this, I had to go back and check what he sent me. Sure enough, he said Knoxville, KY. In my mind, I was thinking of the Knoxville in TN. Now I have to check and see which one he really meant.
Isn't it amazing what you learn from the DIS? LOL! I seriously had to check this too. We talk about too many Knoxvilles in this household - KY, TN, IL, IA.
I think I will hang around a bit too, but if you take too long to post pics of the newest cool bag...
Yay for 20 days! I always get sad when planning the final days of our trips too. It is terrible to think about having to leave before you are even there...crazy, really it is.
You have a lot to do, but you are a super woman. It will get done!:thumbsup2
Well, if you come through Knoxville, TN, be sure to wave at us! However, if it's Knoxville, KY, I won't be there. I'm anxious to hear what your BiL actually meant! :thumbsup2
