Love it!
Thanks Michelle!
I LOVE 'em. Especially the two little patches tucked under the pocket.
Believe it or not, I had both back pockets off... I was actually going to applique Donald's face on the other pocket - then I decided I had devoted too much time to this project already and just sewed the other pocket back on with out doing anything to it.
I'm a full 5'4" so they would be way too short for me! (I'm a step ahead of you. You were probably going to offer to let me wear them and then leave them in a bush for you to get when you arrive. Won't work. Won't fit. I'm very tall.)
That's too bad... Because you know me way too well - that is exactly what I was thinking about doing.
You could do like my grandmother did when she'd take the overnight train from Grand Central to Florida and stay for six months. Wear ALL your clothes.
Now there's a novel idea... ROFL
those turned out so cute D~

them....I'm not much taller just under
5'6" but I have long legs
Thanks... They could be bermuda shorts on all the rest of you???
How awful! I'm so sadden to read this. Hope you do have recourse! Really hope they are wrong now too and he does get back to 100% without too much more suffering.
Thank you, it really is so frustrating.
Thanks!!! It's really great to see you back posting, we've missed you around here!
The capri pants will look so cute your Donald bag and sweatshirt.
That's what I was thinking....
The capris are so cute!!! I hope you have a Donald t-shirt to wear with them! I'm not sure you'll have much use of the sweatshirt when you go! It's been so warm this winter here in FL!!
Thanks!!! But ack!!! Don't tell me that! What about in the mornings and evenings??? Glad to see you're still following along Stephanie... I am still anxious to hear about your trip.
Made me laugh because I DO get the wider than taller ...and I am 5' 7"... (May I just say I EARNED every pound and those of you who know me know it is true...and I am old enough to not care!

We love you just the way you are sweet Judy!
All the better to smell your hair m'dear.
well I for one think you look great my friend, so miss talking to you!
finally did an update on our Oct trip....on page 38!
I agree with Lisa totally... and I am headed over to your TR shortly - can't wait to see the updates!
You can borrow them when we all go on the cruise
but they would be too short for me at 5'6"
Maybe bribe her with some of Ginger's or Dorrrine's clothes so she can get to some other sewing finished
ROFL... Yes, Andrea is always up for a bribe - so I'm told. And I think my capris would make great bermuda shorts on someone.
Subbing! Doubt I'll ever get all caught up, but I'm here now
Welcome!!! Glad you made it! I can't imagine anyone catching up at this point - but it has been done. LOL The easiest way is to just read through the Table Of Contents on page 1 - you'll get the condensed version.

I hope you'll continue to follow along.
Love the Donald capris. I need to figure out how to do that. I think my boys would be cute in them and maybe me
Thanks! They are super easy to make, and didn't cost me a thing - since I just used what I had on hand (thanks to Marianne). I used the heat n' bond method that Marianne mentioned.
First I chose the jeans I wanted to wreck, and chopped them off a bit shorter than I wanted them to be (since I planned to add the ruffle), then I seam ripped the inside of the leg seams as far up as I could go with out actually taking them all the way apart. Then I took a lot of the squares and pressed them on to heat n' bond - cut them out. I layed the pants on my ironing board, then I put my clear vinyl heat resistant stuff on top - laid out all my squares on top of that, so I could see how they all looked together, rearranged as necessary. After that, I took off the backing paper on all the squares and ironed them together - removed the vinyl from under and ironed them to my jeans. Repeat on the other leg. Personally, I did a loose zig-zag - I didn't want the applique look on these, so I didn't do a satin stitch - however, I have seen different variations of these jeans online, and I have seen some of them attached with a straight stitch - however - I am not sure how long they would last with out fraying off??? Once I was done zig-zagging, I attached the ruffle, top stitched it, then I attached the ric-rac, sewed the pants back together - and viola! Easy peasy.
If you decide to do these... I would love to see pics.
I wish I were making more too! I still have Star Wars outfits I promised the boys (with fabric from Jo-Ann's!) . . . and now I signed up for another BG . . . I need to find something to make myself too
You can do it Marianne!!!
:Thank you for the continued thoughts and prayers. I just found out another mom from our mommie site is losing her baby (much too early loss of fluid and there's nothing the doctors can do to save the pregnancy . . . and sadly this is not her first miscarriage It's just so heartbreaking. Makes me just kiss and hug my boys all the more.
This is so sad... I am still praying for everyone. I wish I could say something that would comfort you.

ave did the same to me when I would work on my Disney outfits! "You're cute!" But whatever do you mean by
For that matter, I am not sure I would wear them anywhere else, but Disney - they are a bit 'out there'. I swear I could pull up texts on my phone from you that say I should wear my Disney wear here in Charlotte
ROFL... Busted.... I was just saying that you could probably pull it off - I couldn't. LOL
LOVE THEM! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! We'd look so cute in our coordinating capris! What size is Allison? Maybe I should loan her my Mickey ones?
We would... What would be even cuter - is when we go to WDW together, everyone should pick a fav fab 5 character and we could all wear them the same day - that would be adorable. Mickey and Donald are already spoken for.
I'll text you later with Alli's size.
:I made full-length jeans for my boys -
Basically you take out the inseam or out-seam (whichever is easier) and then you zig zag stitch the squares on however you want (or satin stitch if you don't want a frayed looked after washing them). I have tried two different methods for holding the squares in place while I'm sewing - Pinning like Crazy and small squares of heat n' bond lite. Hope that helps!
I am so happy you posted this picture... I was gonna go hunt it down to post it last night, but I didn't know where to start. LOL Aren't these the cutest boy outfits ever??? I just love them!
:And Judy - for reference, D~ and I are very similar in height. . . this is probably going to get me in trouble (posting this pic) but here are the two of us (with Ginger's babies! - Cheryl, has she heard from them lately?

) when we got to meet in MN this summer:
Not so happy you posted this picture... LOL It is what it is though... That was a super fun night we had!!! I still have one of the Ginger twins on the top of my fabric stash shelf - LOL - all washed out, of course.
sorry to hear about your other friend's pregnancy, hope she will be okay

had a friend with multiply miscarriages, just be there if she needs you!
and why are you up so late young lady....
I was thinkin' the same thing... If she is up that late, she should be using her time wisely and sewing.
Big day today... the new furniture gets delivered this afternoon. At least the Ugly Couch is repaired and cleaned - so there shouldn't be any donation problems.

I have to haul my Holiday Village boxes upstairs today, so I can get the village put away - I know - it's very late in the year, even later than I normally put it away. But I like to display it as long as possible, since the houses and accessores are so expensive - I like to get my "money's worth" out of them. LOL I even managed to move all the sectional pieces and vacuumed under them - so there shouldn't be any embarassing moments.
I am trying to figure out what my next project should be... I have a pair of shorts up there that I'd like to do something with - just not sure what yet??? And I also have a denim skirt - but I am not sure if I dare wear that to Disney - there are just some things that should never be done, and me in a denim skirt right now is one of them. LOL
I think Josh got more sleep last night , but he's sure crabby this morning. Every time I woke up last night, he was in bed with me - and he seemed to be sleeping??? I will just be so happy to get the furniture, so he can be comfortable.
D~
