D.... Marianne did a wonderful job.

It was "wicked" cool that I got to see them in progress. Now I can't wait to see you wearing them in the parks.
Unfortunately sewing becomes quite addictive and turns people into fabric hoarders and force them to buy whole bolts of SW fabric just in case

or so I heard
"wicked cool" - thanks for the help on D~'s shirts, btw!
And I cannot IMAGINE what you might mean by the "fabric hoarders" comment . . . nope, not at all
the scary thing is that they are now 36, 34, 32, 30....the oldest has kids older than Megan

my mom ran into the parent about 6-7 years ago, they have all moved though since then.
Doesn't this kill you? I have "kids" I used to babysit that have babies and I can remember when the "kid" was born . . . and now they have a BABY?

I don't remember telling them they could grow up!!!
Hmmm... so, that's where it is... Was it just posted or did I miss it a long time ago???
Yay!!! I am glad you enjoyed seeing them bigger.

I felt like I didn't take enough... I am still trying to decide which day we should wear them??? I am thinking one of our MK days - possibly our first full day there??
Marianne - you did an amazing job on those appliques... I just knew you could do it - you'll be whippin' them out all the time now, I can tell! So, what's your next project???
I do have a little bit of pirate fabric left, do you want me to send you a few strips? When would you need it by?
Oh - I almost forgot to tell you all... I got an amazing deal at JoAnn's today... The sulky tear away stabilizer - the HUGE roll of it... You know, the one that usually goes for like $40... it was on clearance for, get this... $3.97!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! They only had one left, I frantically searched for more, but I couldn't find any. I hope they are just changing the packaging and not discontinuing it. Also got lots of fabric... Lots of Gutermann thread (it was on sale, and I had an additional 20% coupon)... and I even remembered my zippers!
I missed it too

I think Michelle should post it here
Hmm - which day should you wear them?

Yah, I agree with the "MK" as which park . . . sorry I'm not more help! LOL
My next project is a BG . . . Pirate theme. . . Ship date is in Feb . . . if you have any of the darker strips left when you're all done and want to send them my way, that'd be cool, but don't feel like you have to - I have plenty of fabrics to use, I just think yours are so cool! I remember when Michelle posted hers and I went in search of the rest of the fabrics and just drooled
Way to go on the stabilizer deal!!! I got the last two rolls of Totally Stable at my Jo-Ann's on clearance, but I paid $8.97 for mine.
Okay - let's see, ideas for D~'s pirate outfit . . . I KNOW I've seen a pirate Donald somewhere . . . at least I think I have . . .
What about taking a denim skirt and either doing 2" squares in a couple of rows around the bottom and then a Pirate Head shirt out of stripes sewn together? Like my Figment skirt - remember that one?
Or I saw a cute pair of upcycled capris online somewhere the other day ... they had used jellyroll strips and done them in a diagonal stripe pattern up the legs...
I can tell you what I DON'T recommend! Making yourself a pair of Easy Fits capris in 30 minutes or less. . .

They're NOT the most flattering article of clothing if you have hips . . .

Just sayin' . . . I don't know anyone that has done that before and been disappointed with the results
its called "Moleskin" for your shoe....can't wait to see you model your AK outfit!!!
Minky, moleskin, eh . . . This made me
My friend is actually a forum friend from a pregnancy forum from over ten years ago -- I have never met her in "real life" but a forum friend I have met in real life several times has met her. In one way or another all of us have met someone except for one girl -- we also met a few people we weeded out as they were too strange! We now just have a private group on FB which is the only reason I have a FB account and a friend made it for me so I could join so just used a made up name -- Michelle and Marianne know my name via pinterest.
First of all, you had several quotes with my name on them that were actually Marianne's. I'm not sure how you finagled that. I guess since it's my ptr I can understand.
I

your idea of sewing the strips together and making yourself a Mickey pirate t. I meant to do that for VD for a heart for dd -- thanks for reminding as I totally forget -- best add that to my list.
So WI isn't the only place with dairy farms? My dad grew up on a farm in WI but we grew up in a suburb of Milwaukee. THe only reason I'd want to go back is for the
AG warehouse LOL!
Is it crazy that I read that and wanted to go?
I have to say, I am very pleased with how this bag turned out. It really gave me a chance to concentrate on the basics (which I always do) - but this time you are not distracted by the applique, and you can really see the different elements of the bag itself.
This customer wanted a basic bag, she gave me the choice of exterior colors (I went with navy blue) and I found the interior fabrics - which she allowed me to do with bold and fun patterns. I really love how you cannot tell that this bag is anything other than a basic bag from the outside - then you open it up - and there it is - FUN!!!

OMG!!!!! LOVE!!!!!
