~ Sew Sweet 16 ~I’m packing your angry eyes just in case~Aug 2014~ BFF' bag 8/20!!!!

I just adore your latest custom bag! Another beautiful bag! I cannot wait to see all the auction bags (totally hoping to snag one ;) )

Kat is doing well - she still has an IV, but is getting around well, according to her Dad. She said she's not in much pain and cannot wait to wear her jeans.

The musical Evita has some great music. I saw it some years ago in London.

I hope you have a great day in your sewing room :)

I really don't think there's a right answer to the Alli and Gus situation - they are too young for you to not be involved but you being involved adds more complexity to the situation. You are doing what you are comfortable with and that is the best way to handle it.

Hope you get a chance to stop by my PTR but I know how very full your plate is right now. Are you still able to enjoy making your bags in a situation like this where you are feeling the pressure? I hope so. Hope you make lots of progress today and you're able to surprise yourself with getting everything done before Chicago! :wizard:

Hey there D - all caught up (again) and stopping by to cheer you on - I agree, you are Superwoman - I hope you are enjoying making your bags even with all the pressure - I have the feeling your auction is going to be a bigger success than you imagine. You should realize what exceptional talent you have D.

I cannot believe your Chicago meet is in 3 weeks - where does time fly? Tyler is graduating Friday, and we will have a luncheon for him Saturday with friends and family. This is such a crazy emotional time. I hope to remember my extra large box of tissues. Especially with everything else that has been going on.

Sending a Happy Birthday shout out to V - I would love a pic of her and her beautiful locks.

Your TA sent me the sweetest note with some business cards. I am going to check in with her about some vacation ideas for next year. I agree about airline prices, they have been really high this year. I bit the bullet and went ahead and booked our flight out to San Francisco. It never, ever went down.

Keep up the amazing eating and exercising; take care of yourself with all you have on your plate. Will check in again soon. Prayers and hugs to you and your family.

Hi Sandra... I was hoping that everything was OK with you.
Things have been going well. I've just figured sleep is more important than time on the computer. :rotfl:

Glad you had an uneventful day at Target.

I agree picture of V with her new highlights? Hope she has a great birthday (hope I didn't miss it!!)

And where is the picture of V's new hair?

You have a busy day planned. But you are Super Woman and I have faith in you.

Hahaha... Super woman? Not quite... LOL But thanks for the vote of confidence. :lovestruc

I hope to have a picture of her new hair tonight, when we do cake.

3 WEEKS

WOOHOO!!!! :woohoo:

The Frozen bag turned out well. I'm glad you've been able to get so
much done.
I tried to post yesterday but somehow the post got lost and I didn't have time to redo it before work. I'm on vacation for the rest of the week to finish up last minute things for the wedding. It's hard to believe it's Saturday.
I'm glad your visit with Gus's family went well. Wish I could see V.'s hair.
Today it's finally supposed to get warm once the rain moves out.
Liz

Thanks Liz... Me to - it's been a relief!

Yay for vacation!!! I cannot belive the wedding is on Saturday already! I wish them them best for their new future together.

I hope to take a few pictures of V's new hair tonight when we do cake.

I just adore your latest custom bag! Another beautiful bag! I cannot wait to see all the auction bags (totally hoping to snag one )

Thanks so much! It was really fun to make!

Kat is doing well - she still has an IV, but is getting around well, according to her Dad. She said she's not in much pain and cannot wait to wear her jeans.

I am so glad to hear this... HOpefully she will be back to normal before long. So glad to hear she isn't in much pain.

Now, how are you doing? I haven't had any recent updates.

The musical Evita has some great music. I saw it some years ago in London.

I hope you have a great day in your sewing room

It did have good music, but we had a hard time understanding half of it.

Thanks Lillian - I hope you had a great day too!

I really don't think there's a right answer to the Alli and Gus situation - they are too young for you to not be involved but you being involved adds more complexity to the situation. You are doing what you are comfortable with and that is the best way to handle it.

I know, and I agree... I am just in the "play it by ear" mode... Seeing as, who knows which twist and turn this will take next?

Hope you get a chance to stop by my PTR but I know how very full your plate is right now. Are you still able to enjoy making your bags in a situation like this where you are feeling the pressure? I hope so. Hope you make lots of progress today and you're able to surprise yourself with getting everything done before Chicago!

I was going to... And then I forgot. I can't even remember if I stopped by during my lunch? YIKES... I think I am losing my memory?

Hey there D - all caught up (again) and stopping by to cheer you on - I agree, you are Superwoman - I hope you are enjoying making your bags even with all the pressure - I have the feeling your auction is going to be a bigger success than you imagine. You should realize what exceptional talent you have D.

Hi Carol!!! I hope you are well - you've been on my mind.

I do enjoy making them... but when I do this many at a time, I get HUGE burnout. Which is part of the reason I stopped doing my monthly auctions - I was still having burnout from last year's huge auction. :rolleyes1 Between now and our trip - I don't have a spare moment for anything... Then once we get back, I am over booked through Christmas... Which is good for my business, but a bit stressful on me.

I know... I am super excited to see Suzi and Mo again... and very excited to finally meet Tess.

Congrtulations to Tyler!!! I cannot imagine - it will be very emotional for me, as well. YOu can do this though!

Sending a Happy Birthday shout out to V - I would love a pic of her and her beautiful locks.

Thank you, I will tell her. And I will try to get a picture tonight - she has been weird about letting me take pictures of her lately. :confused3

I love our TA - she is the sweetest (most amazing) person ever! :lovestruc I hope you are able to get your vacation ideas worked out for next year.

I just keep on keepin' on... It's sort-of habit now. Sending prayers and hugs out to you, as well. Thanks so much for checking in - you've been on my mind.

Hi Sandra... I was hoping that everything was OK with you.

Things have been going well. I've just figured sleep is more important than time on the computer.

Glad you had an uneventful day at Target.

I agree picture of V with her new highlights? Hope she has a great birthday (hope I didn't miss it!!)

I agree - you do need your sleep... I always wondered how you did that? LOL

I will try to get a picture of V with her highlights tonight when we are doing cake.

**********************************************************

First off... It's Victoria's 15th Birthday today!!!! :woohoo: So, I thought I would post a cute baby picture... I miss them when they were babies... and she was just the sweetest baby ever. I swear, it's gone by in the blink of an eye...

10308254_10204000907171787_1795867177636339454_n.jpg

What I posted on FB this morning with her birthday album: To the girl who is unique unto herself and isn't afraid to march to the beat of a different drummer... The one who can pick up a book and be lost in it for days, and the one who can make everyone happy or cranky depending on her mood. The one who can make me laugh like no other and gives the best hugs in the world. I love you more than words can say, and I am so very proud of you for the amazing person you are becoming. With all my heart ♥ Love, Mom ♥

Josh has a huge birthday surprise for her tonight... She is going to be SOOOO excited!!! I am bursting with excitement for her! :woohoo:

**********************************************************

Today, I will be working all day... I hope to work on some bag assembly for my custom order, and with any luck - finish it up.

If I finish it, I will start on the applique for my 6th auction bag. I am getting there...

Tonight, we offered to take V out for dinner for her birthday - but she WANTS to make spaghetti... So, that's what we are doing.

Tomorrow, I NEED to go grocery shopping... I skipped out on most of it last time, because we had ordered a hog... Well, I picked that up yesterday... and now we need to stock up on regular groceries... So, BFF and I are going out tomorrow.

I hope you all have a wonderful day. Sending out prayers and good thoughts to all. :grouphug:

D~

The baby picture of Victoria is adorable. No matter how old our children get, they will always be our babies. :lovestruc

You did a great job with Anna and Elsa's faces on your Frozen bag. I hope that one brings in lots of money for you. The Frozen merchandise is a really hot item. :)

Just a couple of things -

Kat is due to be discharged today and probably will not need a non-medical advocate since she no longer has the ostomy bag, so her Dad will get to go home.

My oldest dd Kate went through a phase where she didn't want her picture taken either - she would hide her face every single time, but she eventually outgrew it, so there is hope. I have to add here, that I am so proud of this young woman - she is going to sing the National Anthem at the Star Spangled Banner Flag House in Baltimore on June 14, which is Flag Day. As you know, the Star Spangled Banner was written in Baltimore after the Battle of Baltimore during the War of 1812 (actually took place in 1814 so this is the 100th anniversary of that event.)

Tomorrow is my oldest son's birthday. He will be 33. I swear I do not know where the time went. I guess I need to go scan some of his baby pictures so I can post them tomorrow. Tomorrow is also Jim's birthday, and he was originally scheduled to be back here, but that of course has been changed.

I'm doing better. I still have some minor issues, which I won't go into here because it is gross, but things are on track according to the doctor. :rotfl:

And finally, Happy Birthday to Victoria!

Hope you make lots of progress on your bags today!

Happy birthday to Victoria!

How in the world did you survive having two little ones so close together? Their early years must have been so hectic for you.

I have baby fever bad, although another baby is not in the cards for us. I so miss the baby phase. Charlotte was laying on the couch next to me last night with her feet on my lap, I was playing with her feet and realized that they are almost as big as my hand! Which just amazed me, then I looked at her face, so engrossed in Lady and the Tramp and realized that she's not a baby anymore, she's a little girl. :faint: She's a fabulous little girl, but I just don't know where the last 2.5 years have gone. We also moved her into a big girl bed this weekend and I've been organizing and boxing up all of her baby stuff. Too much at once for this mama's heart :goodvibes

First of all……

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VICTORIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Loved her baby photo!:lovestruc

Next, love the Frozen bag! Great choice of lining fabric too. I really, truly don't know how you get so much done. All those auction bags…I just want to take a nap after reading about all you do. whew!!

I was too late to see the progress photo, but 6 lbs is a lot at this stage of the game. I'm sure you're seeing it in other ways as well. Size 12 bathing suit?? :yay::yay::yay: Awesome job!!

Glad the meet with Gus' family went well. You are handling it the best way you know how and there's nothing wrong with that.

How's your Dad doing? I'm sure he's still loving his situation. Bless him.

I'll be traveling to Colorado next week and spend a week there and a couple days in Dallas. I hope to be able to keep up while I'm gone, because it takes so long to catch up not only here, but on everyone else's PTR's & TRs. Could you remind me when your auction will be taking place? I don't want to miss it, but I can't recall when you said it would be.

Hope you have a great day today as you celebrate that very special occasion of V's birth. How the time flies!!

Happy Birthday V!

Just swinging through on a short break from work.

Glad to hear Kat is well.

I think Mo might be a little excited about the Chicago meet. But she's playing it awfully close to the vest, shy and retiring creature she is. :rotfl:

Blessings be on all of us.

Happy Birthday Victoria!

Good to hear you are getting a lot of sewing done and hope you can manage to still enjoy it.

I went through a face like that at about the same age when it came to photos and ( not saying it is the same thing or this is what is going on with V and please tell me to shut up or but out if I offend you ) with me it was something I began with when I started to loose confidence in my looks. Tell V she looks great. And sorry if that was to personal of me but I do motivational speaking in my aspie group and am trained to look for distress signals so it just bursted out.

Happy Birthday Victoria. Have a GREAT birthday

Thank you Lillian!

Thanks Sue... That bag was actually a custom order, so no auction prices for me. It's OK though - I enjoyed doing it. :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday to a BEAUTIFUL SMART TALENTED GIRL!!!!

Thank you Mo!

Glad to hear you are doing better - I hope you continue to do so.

Thanks! Yah - those first 3 years of motherhood were a blur... If it's not in pictures, I don't remember it. :confused3 But I wouldn't change a thing! They do grow up so quickly and every day speeds by faster and faster... I have loved every moment - and I would do it again in a heartbeat. :lovestruc

Love V's baby picture...so cute. Happy Birthday again to her!

Thanks Kathy!

THanks Lois - for all of you kind comments and birthday wishes for V.

Yes, I am happy with my weight/size loss thus far... I like that there is finally progress - visible progress. :woohoo:

My dad is doing well - I think - I've been trying to call him for a week (intermittently) and he isn't answering. I know he is OK (thankfully) or the assisted living apts would have called me... So that's somewhat relieving. But it would be nice if he would check his machine and call me back. Sigh.

My auction will be in June - I haven't picked an actual date yet... Trying to see how far I get on these bags before I leave for Chicago - then I will pick a date. I am hoping for mid-june. They will start on a Friday and end on a Saturday though... So, that narrows it down a bit. :thumbsup2

Have fun in Co and Dallas... and everywhere else. Hopefully - some day you fly to MN. :thumbsup2

Hahaha... You crack me up! Thank you for the birthday wishes. I hope you have a great day today and work is nice to you. Hopefully the craziness is done.

Happy Birthday Victoria!

Thank you... And no worries... I suspected it was something possibly similar... Although she was great yesterday. I think part of it is that I always try to take pictures, no matter if she has "gotten ready" for the day or not... Hopefully it is just a phase, but I will keep an eye on it. Thank you. :lovestruc

**********************************************************

First off - I want to tell you all about V's birthday yesterday...

Several weeks ago, she had asked for a hedgehog... Of course, we told her NO WAY! Well, then Josh - the doting father that he is - went in search of hedgehogs... Found out they were rediculously expensive and hard to get (I guess there is somewhat of a shortage?)... Anyways, last week, he happened upon someone selling a litter very near to us, and he jumped on it. The price was fair... So, V's hedgehog was born last week... and she won't get it until the first week of June... So, she got a picture of it instead... :thumbsup2 One happy girl - for sure! She does not now what she is naming it yet... I think she should name it Hattie, Henrietta or Edith... and she is thinking Tillie.

Reading the card from us:

Happy Birthday V!

If you look closely and squint - you can see her highlights... but they definately blend more than I would have liked - And they seem to be getting darker. I am a little annoyed, we should have gone with a lighter color - next time we will. Oh well, she likes them and that's what counts.

**********************************************************

I worked in my sewing room all day yesterday. I finished my custom order. WHOOT! And I knocked out a nice chunk of my auction applique...

I will be shopping all day today... So, no sewing room for me - unless I happen to get home early.

Josh and I are going on a date tonight. :woohoo: Since both girls are doing other activities... Not sure what we are doing? I hope it's dinner - that involves a steak. ::yes::

I hope you all have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend! :grouphug:

D~

I am behind. I hope to go back to see V's baby pictures. Happy Birthday to her!!! My daughter just had her 4th birthday last week. Tine does go so fast. So sorry I have not updated, the app on my phone loses my replies and then I give up. So last time I was at the doctor was at 9 weeks, and there was a healthy heartbeat. I have to wait until 13 weeks for my next appt, which is killing me. I also found out my progesterone levels dropped and now have to get shots 2x week. Last one made my hip feel like it was out of socket. I am still hopeful, but worried and hope at 13 weeks I can feel a little less worried. It is really hard. I hope you have a great date night and hope to keep you posted a little better.

Morning D!

Congrats on completing the next custom order! I can't wait to see it!:cool1:

V looked so happy at her birthday celebration! How exciting on the hedgehog. :thumbsup2 We had one in our extended family. His name was Ozzie. He was a funny little character. We miss him. :littleangel:

Anyway, have a great day shopping!:goodvibes
