~ Sew Sweet 16 ~I’m packing your angry eyes just in case~Aug 2014~ BFF' bag 8/20!!!!

Hey D~ Finally had a chance to try to catch up on your PTR. Love the new bags! Can't wait to see your ADRs. It's too early to make ours - soon though.

D~ Stay safe and warm up there!

Allis note is great, how can you turn down the offer of someone else making you food!

Looking forward to seeing your ADR's, for the the planning is almost as much fun as the trip itself.

Ohh bag ideas:
*Seven Dwarfs Mine Train to commemorate the opening of the ride
*A Yeti bag, the cute white fluffy Yeti
*Bag that has a little of every park on it: Sorcerer hat, Spaceship Earth, Castle, Tree of life
*Monorail bag, all the different colored monorails
*Splash Mountian Brer rabbit with thorny bushes
*TTA people mover
*Tiki Bag for the Tiki room or Poly
*Orange Bird, since he is back at the Sunshine Terrace
*Churros and margaritas ( just kidding:rotfl:)
* Mickey bars

I'll stop now!

I know some are a little off the wall but I love the unusual!

Phew, all caught up again. I'm so sorry that it seems to have been Sara who inspired this vegetarian thing. She seems to be very healthy, so maybe I should hook them up on FB so Sara can share her eating habits??

Hopefully the doctor will find some hard proof of a poor diet and it will wake her up. She is a smart girl, I think you are right that she just needs to hear it from someone on the outside. Hope so anyway.

Loving all the new bags! Still like mine the best though ;)

You are right....Downton is boring this year. I miss Matthew.

Well, I did to the drarf's mine train UPB a few months back... So I am not sure I will ever do another one... but I do love all of the other ideas and I am adding them to my list. - How could I forget this? Probably because you make too many great bags and I can't remember them all. I do enjoy looking at your photos on Facebook, especially the customer ones, to see all of your wonderful creations in one place. When I recently saw the Marie bag posted by your customer I was so happy to see the recipient posing with her new bag - she looked so thrilled. And the picture of Airana and her cousin posing with their bags reminded me how fun Disney is.

I know - I very much enjoy my "I Spy" album... It's so much fun to look at and see so many people enjoying my bags! That's honestly my favorite part!

Alli's note is too funny. Guess she doesn't want to give her presentation. Very nice of her to worry about you not having to loose your voice getting the girls up in the morning but not having to walk Max in the snow might be worth it. I hope the roads aren't too crazy.

Hahaha... Yes, she is so thoughtful. :rotfl:

I don't post too often but Alli's note cracked me up!!! That would have so been something I would have done at that age - had I not grown up in the dark ages before everyone had a computer at home!!

Hope you don't get too much snow and if they stay home - hold her to some of that list - especially the food making after all you have been doing.

Christine

LOL - Sometimes my girls throw me for a loop... I love their craziness though!

We did get a lot of snow... about 9-10"... It took Josh about 5 hours yesterday to snow blow us (and all of our neighbors) out.

Thanks for the advice on getting my workout done first thing in the morning. I'd have to get a DVD or find something I could do at home - so I could be there in case the girls wake up early and need anything. I have such a hard time getting up in the morning, I'm not sure I'll be able to drag myself out of bed to do it. I think I'll be able to get another 2-3 work outs in this week, which will put me at 4-5 for the week (two of them being family walks, but at least it's movement). If I can get 4-5 work outs in a week consistently, I will be thrilled. I'm going to stick with working out at the end of the work day for another week or two and see how often I'm able to make it. I'll figure out what's right for me soon enough.

I have the Walk Away the Pounds DVD by Leslie Sansone... I really like them a lot - they are easy and quick to do. The 1 mile is about 23 minutes, including warm up/cool down/stretching... I like that I can squeeze it in almost any time, and I can do it while every one else is sleeping. I know you can find her DVDs on Ebay... When there's a will, there's a way - so I've been told. :wizard: You can do it!

Charlotte saw the doctor again yesterday and after one week on antibiotics her double ear infection had not improved. They switched her medication yesterday, but I believe when we go back in a couple of weeks we will be talking about tubes. I'm super nervous about the tubes, I've read a lot about them causing more harm than good. Plus I hate to put my baby through surgery. I'd love to hear anyone else's experience with tubes.

I sure hope she is feeling better by now... Poor thing!

I am sorry that I don't know much about tubes, I've never had to do them with my girls.

I am going to start saving my pennies now for an auction bag! How many will you do for your big auction?

I am not sure yet... I usually try to do 5 or 6... It will depend on how much time I can find to do them. I'd like to have the auctions done by May, they mean a LOT of over time in my sewing room, and they cause me to burn out quite quickly - so I will have to see how ambitious I am. :thumbsup2

Hi D~! Love the Belle bag! She's a favorite princess in our house.

Thanks so much! I am glad you like it!

I just wanted to chime in on eating vegetarian. I love eating vegetarian and sometimes vegan! Allie has to expand her options, though, to make it a healthy choice. Does she enjoy Mexican food? It's our favorite, and we eat vegetarian this way often.

Eating vegetarian can be a very healthy option. My older sister and father have been vegetarian for 12-15 years. My dad's cholesterol is the lowest in his life (and my grandpa died of heart disease) and he is the healthiest he's ever been. I'd encourage anyone to see Forks over Knives or The Weight of the Nation.

My favorite "recipe" is a hummus and bean quesadilla:
4 TB red pepper hummus mixed with taco seasoning for extra flavor
about 1 cup of black beans (I cook in the liquid and drain) lightly mashed
wilted spinach or kale
2 tortillas
Spread 2 TB of hummus on each tortilla. Spray skillet with oil/nonstick spray (we have our own pump-sprayer so we can use real oil with no chemicals to spray). Put 1 tortilla in pan, layer with beans and greens. Top with 2nd tortilla. Press down and cook until bottom is stiff and golden brown. Spray the top of the quesadilla with oil before flipping. Flip and cook until bottom is still and golden brown.

DH and I share 1 quesadilla with greek yogurt (we stopped eating sour cream a couple years ago), guacamole, homemade salsa, and blue corn chips on the side. Taco salad with beans, corn, and salsa is another yummy option. We also love bean chili.

Quinoa is also a great source of protein and if you haven't explored cooking with it, I highly recommend it!

This sounds really great for her! I love all of the ideas! THanks so much! :lovestruc

I hope your weather isn't too bad.

We're under a wind advisory and they've been playing up the severe storm possibilities for the past couple of days, so there's that too.

Death, taxes and weather - the only constants in the world.

Good luck with the working in the sewing room and the ordering of the fabric and the subtle working into the conversation about the trip with Josh.

We survived, but I haven't been outside since Wednesday - except to run ou and grab the mail... I just hate this weather. We also have the heavy wind and a lot of our roads are totally frozen... Such a bummer, because they were all thawed.

D - I had to post a quick reply - Alli's note just cracked me up - I am crying I am laughing so hard - this is something my youngest son would do - your daughters are awesome- good to hear Alli has an appt next Monday!!! Prayers will be going out specifically for a good informative visit.

Yah - she cracks me up. Seriously.

Yes, I am nervous/slightly excited for the appointment... I hope it goes well.

I forgot to mention this to you D - YIKES - I am afraid to say it - our MB's worked perfectly - absolutely not one hiccup. We flew through the FP's, they worked at all food places, the hotel, everywhere. We were amazed. I even changed FP times on my app at the last minute when were running late and they worked at the changed times. Hopefully, when you go, everything will be running smooth as silk.

This is great to hear! And it makes me so happy! I hope they continue to work well for everyone.

I saw the Dwarf's Mine Train in construction while we were there. It looks awesome. I am envious of all who get to ride it!

Have an awesome rest of the week!!!

I know - friends are posting pictures like crazy now, I guess they took the walls down... ONly a little longer! I cannot wait to ride it!

I hope you have a wonderful week too!

It's good that you got an appointment for Alli so soon. The last line of Alli's note made me laugh.
I hope the weather doesn't get too bad where you are. We have had a little tiny bit of snowfall this February but not much. It's an odd winter with so little snowfall here.

Thanks Lillian... I'd gladly give you some of our snow. :thumbsup2

Yes, Alli can be quite comical when she wants to be - so can V. LOL popcorn::

Love the note from the girls! It definitely made me giggle. I love the "I know where you sleep" part.

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Hahaha... Yah, they can be super funny when they want to be - it's the unexpected stuff that gets me. LOL Gotta love them!

We do think he's pretty cute too!! He's such a good baby too!! I couldn't have asked for a calmer baby even with all the other craziness that goes on around here. I will say some of my favorite time's are when the other 2 are out school and it's just James, JJ and I. That's when I really get to just snuggle him because James loves getting to play by himself and not have to deal with his older brother and sister. I also can't believe that he's a month old already. I feel like I was just in the hospital having him.

Hope Target went well.

Love Allie's note!! That was fun to read!!

Bag idea's maybe Cars, Nemo, Jungle Book, trying to think of themes you might not have already done. Was going to say Frozen but everyone else already did.

I am so happy to hear that he is such a good baby... I was so exhausted when my girls were little, I don't even remember if they were good babies? :confused3

Love all of your bag ideas too! Thanks so much!

D~

I was wondering where you were this morning.

Hope the power holds out and the internet comes back. Stay safe and keep warm. Sending prayers that Josh will make it home safely and in better time.

I didn't manage to work out yesterday but I did get to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather with some co-workers. I think I may need to figure out a way to get my workouts done first thing in the morning, as you suggested, it's too easy to get sidetracked the rest of the day!

Thanks! We had internet around noon yesterday, and our power stayed on, so it was a good day. Josh also made it home early (he took off work a few hours early) - so, all is right in my world. :lovestruc

Yes, that's why I work out in the morning, if I don't do it in the morning, I know myself too well and it doesn't get done at all. Unless I go for a walk after dinner (which never happens this time of year) - just like to get it out of the way, then I don't have to worry about it.

I hope that the power stays on and that you get your internet connection back soon. Does the girls do any schoolwork at home when school is closed because of the weather?

THanks Lillian. No, the girls do not have to do any schoolwork on their days off - unless they have regular homework. They will end up making up a day of school this year though, because the state requires so many days of school per year, and due to the weather, they are short one now... So, we will see which day they will have school... My guess is that they will add one during spring break, so they don't have to dig into summer vacation? We will see.

Stay safe D - hope the power stays on.

Thanks Tess... Our power stayed on... but our tree branches are really not enjoying this heavy snow/ice.

Oh No! I hope the weather calms down for you soon. We had some heavy rain and thunderstorms last night but I think we may be done with the snow down here in Atlanta.

It did finally calm down, but the wind was really crazy. Spring can come anytime now.

Ohhh I am sorry to hear about the crazy weather and the affects from it!!!
The letter from A is a riot. A girl after my own heart!!!

We survived, and we are safe - that's what matters.

LOL - Yah - she is crazy! Love her though.

So A~ finally got that day off she was vying for!!!

Do you all have a wood burning fireplace or stove to keep warm while electricity is out? Please stay safe and WARM!!!

LOL - Yup, she did.

No, no wood burning anything... We'd just freeze. :faint:

Hey D~ Finally had a chance to try to catch up on your PTR. Love the new bags! Can't wait to see your ADRs. It's too early to make ours - soon though.

Hi Sarah! How are you? HOw are the girls? I love seeing pictures your mom posts on FB... They are growing so much and adorable as usual. :lovestruc Thanks for stopping by!

D~ Stay safe and warm up there!

Allis note is great, how can you turn down the offer of someone else making you food!

LOL - I am not sure it was a "real" offer... :confused3 She was off yesterday, but never made me any food. LOL

Looking forward to seeing your ADR's, for the the planning is almost as much fun as the trip itself.

I know - I just love the planning! It's so much fun!

Ohh bag ideas:
*Seven Dwarfs Mine Train to commemorate the opening of the ride

Phew, all caught up again. I'm so sorry that it seems to have been Sara who inspired this vegetarian thing. She seems to be very healthy, so maybe I should hook them up on FB so Sara can share her eating habits??

That would be wonderful. We love Sara, and I sure hope you didn't think I was "blaming" her for Alli's choices, I know that Alli certainly admired her while we were on our trip - she is such a beautiful person, inside and out - it was more of a compliment than anything. :lovestruc

Hopefully the doctor will find some hard proof of a poor diet and it will wake her up. She is a smart girl, I think you are right that she just needs to hear it from someone on the outside. Hope so anyway.

Loving all the new bags! Still like mine the best though

You are right....Downton is boring this year. I miss Matthew.

I hope so too - it would sure make things easier - even if we could come up with some sort of compromise... Sigh. It's so hard and frustrating.

I know you do - LOL... :lovestruc

Yes, I do miss Matthew... Such a shame he is gone.

**********************************************************

Thanks for all the well wishes with the weather yesterday... It was such a mess here in MN - we don't often get to say that - as we usually deal with it pretty well... but it was just so much snow/freezing rain at one time, the roads are super bad - even in the Metro area. Thankfully we've all been able to adjust our schedules and stick close to home.

I hope to start next week's bag today, I don't normally work on weekends, but this bag has 2 appliques on the front, and I always worry when I have a lot of applique work, that I won't complete the bags on time. I won't work all day, but I'd like to get a good few hours in.

Alli's guy friend is supposed to be coming over this afternoon for a few hours to hang out, have dinner, then go to the hockey game with Josh, V and Alli - not sure if I am going or not. It's a late game, and I hate trying to stay awake through them. However, it's Matt's last game of the season, so I might suffer through it. :rolleyes1

Otherwise, we will be hanging out at home today... The roads are still pretty bad, and no reason to go out on them.

Thanks again for all the good thoughts and prayers yesterday. :lovestruc

I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend, those of you who are sick start to feel better, and prayers go out to all who need them. :grouphug:

D~

I'm glad you survived the storm and didn't lose power. 9-10 inches of snow is a lot. We've had several bad storms this year. One of the rep.s at work was telling me the other day that his boys haven't gone to school for a whole week since before Christmas break. I think he said that they've missed 10 days so far. Today it's in the 40's and there are river flood warnings. Luckly I don't live near a river. We're supposed to get more snow by Wednesday.
My daughter's boyfriend is leaving for Disney tomorrow. His whole family's renting a house somewhere. His brother in law won a trip to Disney World at work. I wish they did stuff like that where I work. We get to take her boyfriend and his mother to the airport which is on the other side of Cleveland. If you know anything about Cleveland, there's and Eastside and a Westside and we don't cross over the river to the other side very often. I live in a small town East of Cleveland.
I hope you have a productive day in your sewing room. Personally , I like Orange Bird. He brings back memories of my first trip way back in 1976.
Liz

Sounds like a good system the school has that they have extra days of school if the school has to be closed too many days a year because of the weather.

I hope you get to do the things you've planned for the day in the sewing room. Have a nice weekend :)

Love Mickey Bar bag idea! Those bars are totally our melt down life saver!

D are your bags just for adults? Have you done any Disney Jr themes? Minnie's bow-tique? Sherriff Callie- Wild West theme? Jake? Toodles/clubhouse? Doc/Sophia?

We've had a few warmer temps - its supposed to be in the 50s today, and yesterday we had rain, so our snow level has decreased significantly. On Tuesday we had about a foot of snow in the back yard, but now its about down to 6 inches. Unfortunately, its going to get cold again next week and more storms are coming.:worried::(

I made arrangements yesterday for surgery on my sinuses in April. I just can't stand the constant drip and headaches any longer. Of course, I need to wait until after my trip and I want to take off from work as few days as possible.

Found out last night that Shannon will be in Chicago until June 1 - doesn't change my plans at all, but you might get a chance to meet her.

Today is Kat's 21st birthday. Going to help her celebrate! I made her one of dogundermydesk's wristlet out of Disney Villains fabric. I promise I'll take a picture.

I am so happy to hear that he is such a good baby... I was so exhausted when my girls were little, I don't even remember if they were good babies? :confused3

Love all of your bag ideas too! Thanks so much!

Oh don't get me wrong. I'm tired all the time!! But when we're awake he is a very good baby. Eats about every 3 hours (goes about 4 - 5 hours at night), not a very big crier, and is just all around a pretty laid back baby.

Glad you guys are surviving the bad weather. Hope it get's better and you guys continue to stay safe.

I'm glad you got Alli an appointment first thing Monday a.m.

LOVE her note to you as I told you on FB.

I'm so sorry you got all that snow again. Luckily, there is nothing in our forecast except cold temperatures...including a high of 8 on Thursday. Next Saturday can't here soon enough to take me to a warm spot.

Yes... Our roads are still awful! I went out yesterday morning to pick up a few necessisties, and many of the roads were half closed, it was crazy! I have pictures to post below.

Thanks Liz... I didn't end up making it up there... I was distracted by other things, it was just a crazy day here.

Hmmm... Lots of requests for the Orange Bird.... :scratchin:

Yes, they do have a pretty good system. Every child here dreams of "snow days". LOL

Thanks Lillian, same to you. I did not make it up to the sewing room at all yesterday - oh well, I did have the best of intentions.

Love Mickey Bar bag idea! Those bars are totally our melt down life saver!

That is a good idea... I just had something inspiring come to mind, so there may (or may not) be a Mickey bar bag in the future. :)

Mostly, yes my bags are for adults, it's pretty rare that someone wants to spend that much on a bag for a child. But I will certainly keep that in mind.

On Tuesday we had about a foot of snow in the back yard, but now its about down to 6 inches. Unfortunately, its going to get cold again next week and more storms are coming.

Wow Tess! I just cannot believe all of these storms you are getting... Stay safe and warm! Only a few more weeks until WDW for you.

I made arrangements yesterday for surgery on my sinuses in April. I just can't stand the constant drip and headaches any longer. Of course, I need to wait until after my trip and I want to take off from work as few days as possible.

I'll be thinking of you - please keep me updated. I certainly hope it helps and you are back to feeling better in no time.

Found out last night that Shannon will be in Chicago until June 1 - doesn't change my plans at all, but you might get a chance to meet her.

I would LOVE to meet her! I hope we get the chance!

Happy Birthday Kat!!! I hope she has a wonderful one! It's been such a horrible year for her, yet she has overcome SOOO much! :lovestruc

I am anxious to see the wristlet. I did make one last year (not from that pattern) - but I fashioned a similar one for myself, and I really liked it a lot - it was my favorite wallet in Disney!

Oh don't get me wrong. I'm tired all the time!! But when we're awake he is a very good baby. Eats about every 3 hours (goes about 4 - 5 hours at night), not a very big crier, and is just all around a pretty laid back baby.

I bet you are tired all the time, but the pictures you are posting of him on FB just make me want to fly over and cuddle him - he is just so little and adorable!

Thank you Sandra... One more month... (I know, I've been saying that for 2 months now... :rolleyes1)

I'm glad you got Alli an appointment first thing Monday a.m.

Yes, me too! Hopefully it will, at least, give us some answers of what we need to be feeding her.

LOVE her note to you as I told you on FB.

Yah - that just cracked me up... Kids... :rolleyes1

I'm so sorry you got all that snow again. Luckily, there is nothing in our forecast except cold temperatures...including a high of 8 on Thursday. Next Saturday can't here soon enough to take me to a warm spot.

YIKES!!! I am not sure how much more of this snow/cold I can take... Every year I seem to hate it more and more. Sigh.

**********************************************************

Yesterday was such a crazy day... To be honest, I spent most of it driving to the meat market and then to town (opposite directions)... Usually, one full day after a huge snow event like that, the roads are clear, and we just go about our business... But whoa! I wasn't prepared for roads that were half drifted shut, and several inches of ice pack... It was slow going for most of our trip there and back. :rolleyes1

20140222_105255.jpg

20140222_110116.jpg

Just as a point of reference, in the above photo - you can just make out the top portion of the sign on the side of the road... That is how DEEP those snow drifts were! Crazy! I've never seen anything like that - and definately not two days after the event. And the road was more than half closed... We had to drive half off in the ditch on the opposite side of the road to get through! GULP!

And then our front yard after the storm:

1393020181259.jpg

I did purchase two lovely beef roasts at the meat market - we had one for dinner last night. I threw it in the crock pot after I got home, and just let it cook all day. Quite honestly, it could have cooked for another hour - it was still a bit tough, but we were all hungry.

Allison's boyfriend came for dinner last night, he is such a nice boy. I am not ready for this, but I guess I must be. Then he went with us to the hockey game in Northfield. We all had a great time, and our Ole's won... they are going to the playoffs... We are SOOOO EXCITED! It was a great game, and we are so proud of Josh's cousin Matt (who plays for them). :woohoo: Last night was such a fantastic game... Lots of fighting, and just really exciting. The Oles won in overtime, and I've never heard that arena louder. :woohoo:

Afterwards, it was pretty late, so we all drove home. Gus stayed and chatted for a little while, then he drove home.

It was a great night!

Today, we are headed up by the MOA... We are meeting Josh's Brother's in-laws (who are here from The Netherlands) for lunch. I am looking forward to seeing them... And, of course, we have gifts for Thomas to send over... The biggest one is from Victoria, as most of you may remember, she taught herself how to crochet... Well, she made Thomas a blanket. I am just so proud of her - what a HUGE undertaking and it turned out so awesome! I am just so proud of her! I need to take a picture of her with it today, so that we have one... Here's one of it "in progress" though (and MM "helping")...

20140107_152024.jpg

Unfortunately, due to roads, that trip up to the MOA is going to take us most of the day.

I hope you all have a wonderful day. Prayers go out to all in need... I hope that some of you who are sick are starting to feel better. :lovestruc

D~

Please tell Victoria that her blanket looks beautiful. Crocheting and knitting are so much fun!! Buying yarn can become addictive!!! Have fun at MOA today. Can you tell me what you Facebook fan page is? Have a great day.

Wow, those snow pictures are amazing! I can't imagine driving in that :scared1: Yeah, I think I'll stay here in Florida ::yes::

We can actually see some grass in the front yard! Too bad its going to be covered again later this week :scared1:.

We have lots of farm fields around here too, so we get drifting across the roads too.

Shannon left for Pittsburgh today - she's making a "Pitt" stop and staying with her brother and his fiancé tonight before she gets back on the road tomorrow. She will be back at the end of April since she is running in a 1/2 marathon in Washington DC.

We had fun at my nephew's house last night for Kat's birthday party. We got there early and actually left before 10 pm, but we did have a good time. Kat's mom made a cake for her - I have pictures on my phone - it was 4 layers, with white chocolate mousse between the layers - that cake had to be 10 inches tall - with a drunken Barbie on the top.

We can finally see our Christmas decorations that we weren't able to get up before all the snow. We don't have any snow in the forecast, but we are getting another deep freeze the middle of this week. :(

That road looks awful that you were traveling on.

Glad your hockey team won...always fun when the home team wins.

Way to go V...nice job on the blanket.

I will for sure - thank you! Well, we didn't actually go to the MOA, we just drove around it to get to the restaurant - but the restaurant was right next to the MOA. :thumbsup2

I can PM you a link to my FB fanpage.

Wow, those snow pictures are amazing! I can't imagine driving in that Yeah, I think I'll stay here in Florida

It's not that bad as long as you go slow and no sudden stops/starts. But I would much rather be in FL too.

Lovely snow pictures. Wow how nice the blanket V is making is. She is so skilled

Thank you Lillian - she was so excited to have it finished in time. Many nights she stayed up way too late to complete it.

We can actually see some grass in the front yard! Too bad its going to be covered again later this week

We won't be seeing any green grass here for at least another month... But it can't come soon enough!

We have lots of farm fields around here too, so we get drifting across the roads too.

Yes, it's crazy!

Shannon left for Pittsburgh today - she's making a "Pitt" stop and staying with her brother and his fiancé tonight before she gets back on the road tomorrow. She will be back at the end of April since she is running in a 1/2 marathon in Washington DC.

Awesome! And good luck to her!

I am glad you all had a good time, and LOL about the drunken Barbie on top... Do you have pictures of this?

We can finally see our Christmas decorations that we weren't able to get up before all the snow. We don't have any snow in the forecast, but we are getting another deep freeze the middle of this week. :

This cracked me up! I read it to the girls and they thought it was pretty funny too. Hopefully you can get those decorations up before they get buried again.

That road looks awful that you were traveling on.

It wasn't too bad actually... Those are the roads I travel to/from work... As long as I went slow, I didn't have a problem. I'll be happy when they are melted though.

Glad your hockey team won...always fun when the home team wins.

Way to go V...nice job on the blanket.

Thank you... And yes, we are excited about Matt's team!

We had a really nice family day yesterday. It was wonderful seeing Brian's in-laws... They are truly wonderful people! They told us fun tales of Thomas, and how Brian and Myrthe are fun parents... It makes me a bit sad, just because I wish we could be there too to enjoy him... But it's fun to hear all the tales just the same.

Of course, Brian and Myrthe sent treats with for the girls... They always do.

And then all of us (minus me) at the restaurant...

It's always sad saying goobye to them, but they always let us know when they are coming back - which is quite frequently. They will be back in April, so I have time between now and then to do birthday shopping for B/M/T, since all of their birthdays are with in a week of eachother.

I was also able to get a picture of V with her finished blanket... She is so happy with how it turned out! And I am so proud of her too!

Josh and I came home and took a nap yesterday afternoon.

Then we had a family meeting - which lasted almost 2 hours, but it was good. It's been a while since we've had one, and it was necessary... many things have been stressfull around here lately and we always do better as a family if we understand eachother. So, hopefully...

This morning is Alli's Dr. appt... I hope we get some answers, and at least find out what we she needs. I know we won't have the bloodwork results back for a while, but still - I will feel better knowing that we have it.

I also have to make an appointment for myself while I am there. It's been a year since my surgery and almost a year since I have started this journey, so it's time I have a check up and find out where my bloodwork is at too.

I will be back here after Alli's appt... I have my heavy lifting to do, then I will be in my sewing room for the rest of the day, starting my next custom order.

I have my Disney schedule/calendar all ready to upload... I can't wait to show it to all of you next week!

Have a fantastic day everyone! Sending out prayers and good thoughts to all. :grouphug:

Thinking of you at Alli's appointment this morning. I hope it helps her to move in the right direction for herself. My husband and I have both had bloodwork this year and for each of us we were able to get the results in a week or less so you might not have to wait too long for answers.

We went for another nice long family walk yesterday morning. It was very nice, although Charlotte decided she wanted to walk (instead of ride in her stroller) very early on in the walk. Then she wanted to be carried which left my husband pushing the empty stroller and trying to control our 150 pound Great Dane. It didn't last long before I had to strap Charlotte all the way into the stroller so she couldn't climb out again. She was not a happy camper but she ended up falling asleep for a few minutes before we made it home.

I love that you had a family meeting and that it should help. I find it's so easy to put those kind of discussions on the back burner and often, when you get around to them, you find out everyone was pretty much on the same page anyway and delaying the conversation just delays things getting better.

Exciting news here! If we can work the budget out, we may be going to Disney next month for Spring Break! I'm very excited as we are officially taking a break from Disney (we've had annual passes 3 out of the last 5 years - we took some time off when I was pregnant and Charlotte was small). We wanted to do something with the girls for Spring Break and when I started pricing stuff out, it seemed like Disney would be the most affordable option. We have budget and details to work out but my husband got his vacation time approved this morning. I'll keep you posted.

I hope things go well at the doctor's today and you get some answers. Maybe he can get through to Allie about the importance of good nutrition.
It sounds like you had a good visit with Brian's in-laws. Victoria did a good job on that blanket. The colors look really good together. My daughter is into crocheting, too. After we got back from the airport she went to JoAnn's for more yarn.
We survived the trip to the airport. There was no traffic and the roads were clear. I wish I could say the same about my daughter's boyfriend and mother. They got lost on the way to the rental house the company got them. His mother kept arguing with him about the directions the gps was giving them. I'm glad I wasn't there. Hopefully the rest of the trip is better.
Liz
