D~ prayers to you & your Dad. Also for your dh & the girls as they too must be worried about your Dad, but also you.
I know your Dad had a neurologist you liked, so I'm sure he considered this, but I will mention it regardless. Bell's palsy. you may want to google it. I honestly, don't know much about it, but know 2 people who have been diagnosed with it, both showed symptoms similiar to a stroke. Both live(d) totally normal lives after being diagnosed.
Regarding you being clueless. I can relate. The hospital should have someone on staff that works with families to try to help sort this type of thing out. Definitely worth asking. Ours helped us so very much. Everything, from the paper work the doctors had to fill out for the insurance, to finding a nursing care facility that was well established & had a good reputation.
Best of luck to you. I know how the heart aches with these points in our lives. Prayers for you D~. :![]()
My grandma is now on Hospice services, she's ok for now, but heading downhill. She has been my second mother, so this will be hard. We are happy for everyday we get with her.
Hope to keep up better![]()
I am at the hospital with my dad. He was brought in by ambulance yesterday. He was admitted through the er. I came up last night and slept here with him. He was ct scanned/mri/spinal tapped last night. They have ruled out stroke, but are leaning towards a brain infection. Please keep him in your prayers.
Please do not post anything on my facebook, as I am having a hard time reaching family, and I don't want them seeing this there.
Prayers to all.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and encouragement.
Dee and Ruthie, I did just now google bells palsy, and it does not appear that this is what he has. He does not have any facial paralysis, rather his left arm and left leg are numb/tingly, and there is a "disconnect" from where he wants his leg/arm to go and where it actually goes. Which is why he kept falling over, he couldn't walk.
I do have request in for the social worker to stop in... Hopefully she stops by when I am here.
