I love the MB holder you made! I wish I had one of those during our last trip in July since the plastic was making my wrist so sweaty.
Thanks! V actually found something similar on Pinterest - so I just whipped one up... They will be a nice last minute addition to our trip stuff.
The Tiger bag is adorable. When will Olivia get to see it?
I used that brand of Rustoleum on my faded plastic flower pots. It worked great on those. I'm sorry that it ruined your MBs, though.
I like your new fabric MB holder. That is a good idea.
Victoria's MB looks great. It proves the old adage that "less is more".
Thanks Sue... She comes home from summer camp on Friday, but she goes straight to her Dad's... So, my guess is she won't see it until I give it to her on Monday.
Hahaha... Well, I am set if I ever need to redo my flower pots then.
Thank you... Yes, I like V's too.
I love your Magic Band Cuff. I might need to do something like that because mine makes me sweat.
Have fun at Target.
Thanks! I am very happy with how it turned out. It was so simple to make.
Our Magic Bands came in yesterday. I think I am going to leave them plain for this trip, unless I come across the princess temporary tatoos that I know are somewhere in my house I don't have the time or the patience to paint them. I love the fabric cover you made for yours, it looks great! V's band turned out great too! I am really looking forward to meeting you! I'm going to send you a message on Facebook right now with my number, so I don't forget again.
Hope Target goes well today.
Saying more prayers for you and your dad and his safe trip home!
I have a clear calendar today so I am hoping to finish up on a couple of things my boss wants by tomorrow and also get caught up on my almost 400 emails!
Yay - glad you got your MBs! And I hope you find your princess tattoos. Thanks - I am very happy with how it turned out.
I received your message, and added your number to my phone.
I hope you were able to get everything done yesterday.
I read on the MB thread your supposed to use a nail polish base coat on the top and bottom before you paint... Not a sealer or modpodge because they crackle.. Hope that will help if you decide to pain agian...
I am still sitting here starting at mine...
Hmmm... And I read that it works better with out a base coat?

To be honest... I repainted my Mickey Head on there with out a base coat or a top coat, and I ran it under the kitchen sink for about a minute while rubbing it with my thumb and it stayed. So, if I redo some of my dots, I may do nothing at all?
It's just all so confusing. I wish I could make my MB look "clean" again though - it not really "new" looking anymore. Sad.
So sorry to read that your MB didn't get to keep its dots. I love the cuff though. That is very cute.
Did you guys trim your MBs at all? Chelsea's, of course, I could take the extra off and have her just use the kids size. My wrist is super small. I can wear children's bracelets and most of the time cannot wear watches because they can't be altered small enough. So, the band fits on the last two holes of the "kid" portion. I could wear it lose, but I don't like that all that extra band is tucked inside. Would you trim it or leave as is?
Praying for your Dad's trip home.
Thanks Shannon. No - I did not trim mine at all, my wrists aren't that small. I am not sure what I would do, because I would be afraid it would be scratchy where it was cut... I've heard of people filing them with a nail file though - so maybe that's an option?
Thank you.
Hi D~
I'm back from spending a week with three of my grandkids here at my house. It was a lot of fun, but exhausting too. I was on my own with them since Dan is working so many hours these days, but we had a great time together!
I love V's skirt and dress, all the bags, love seeing all your outfits on FB! I'm glad your ca issue got resolved and for less than you had figured.
Your trip is getting sooooo close!! And here you are ahead of schedule! It's really no surprise though. You tend to rise to whatever the occasion. And my money is on you getting another bag done for Victoria.
Okay, gotta fly. Hope your day is going well.
I hope you had a great time - It sounds like you did!
Thanks! Just happy to be nearing the end. Just in time to take our trip - then come back and go full speed ahead again. I have new brakes/rotors/tires to pay for this fall... Then a trip to Tennessee for Christmas... Then SD next summer... I forsee lots more overtime in my sewing room in the coming months!
Hahaha, just happy to have it all done on time - I wasn't sure I was going to make it when I had to redo that auction bag #10.
My wrists are very small too. I wear the MB in the last 2 holes of the kid size band. I did not trim it last trip, because I was afraid my wrist would maybe swell and then the band would not fit. That did not happen (silly me), so I think I will trim at least one of my bands and try it out.
I would try the nail filing idea above, if you trim it.
That is awesome that you have all the bags almost finished! I bet you are relieved!
That is a major bummer about your magic band. Thanks for the warning about the sealer. I like the fabric cover thing you made. I would think it would be better to have material against your arm instead of plastic! Im glad you are still able to have your dots!
I hope you had a good Target day!
I am relieved - very much so. But now I am looking for other stuff to do. LOL
Thanks - Yes, I am very bummed about my dots, I may try to paint them on again this weekend, while I am looking for other stuff to do. Hehehe...
I loved what you did with your band, even with the paint not working out. It'll definitely make it more comfortable. It's almost time!
Thanks! I am OK with it -I do like how it turned out, but I think I am going to try for my dots again too? I dunno - I haven't decided yet.
I know!!! I am so excited!
I know you are leaving soon and I just want to wish you a fabulous trip. I have not posted much but I have been reading along and as usual I love your bags. My daughter saw one and commented that we needed those for our next trip. Anyway have fun and I will be watching for your TR.
Awww... Thanks for stopping by Judy and thanks for the well wishes! Thanks! I hope you are able to snag one or two for your next trip!
Love Olivia's bag!! Tigger looks great on the black.
Ugh about your magic band. The cover looks great!
Thanks Sandra! I am happy with it. And I do like the cuff-thingy, more than many other covers I've seen out there... Kind of reminds me of those old leather watches from the 70's - LOL... I have pictures of my dad wearing one like that when I was a baby - leather of course, not red with white dots.
Hmmmm...I have seen other MB covers, but none I really cared for. I LOVE the one you did...I might have to steal that idea...OR it could be your new venture! Making MB covers to go with all your bags... If I get any time before our trip I might have to see if I can figure it out....sheesh who am I kidding?
Nini
Thanks Nini... I sent you a message on FB.

So, yesterday was a Target day... It went pretty fast. Alli and I had almost the same hours yesterday, and we both got off at the same time - so that was nice.
Afterwards - we "ran" to Kohls... I had Kohls cash to use up + a 30% coupon... I decided that Allison could probably use a few new tops for our trip, since she hasn't had any new clothes this summer. We picked up BFF on the way - as she had to use my coupon to get a new piece of luggage for the trip.
What was meant to be a "quick" trip - turned into a 3 hour ordeal - LOL... but Alli found about 8 new summer tops for $35 after all of our discounts - so that was awesome! Now she has some great things to wear on our trip.
By the time we got home - it was almost 7pm... Oops... Josh and V hadn't even started dinner... So it was a mad rush to get dinner on the table.
I went straight to bed afterwards.
Dad update: He made it on to the train safely yesterday - he is rolling towards home as I type. I talked my my uncle last night and he told me my Dad was grinning from ear to ear yesterday - very excited to ride the train home. I would love continued prayers for his safe travels today.
My day today is a little weird...
I will be working out this morning...
Then I will be working on BFF's bag... I hope to finish it today.
At 5pm, I have a City meeting that isn't optional.

But I told the rest of the City administration that I cannot stay past 6pm...
Then, I will come home - maybe eat a bite for dinner... Grab V - because she is a wonderful dd, who offered to do the trip with me, and head up to my Dad's house. I hope to be there by 9pm.
Straight to bed for us...
I have to be at the train depot (which is an hour from my Dad's house) at 4:45 tomorrow morning to pick him up. I am really looking forward to hearing about his trip and seeing him.
Sadly - I cannot stay long... I have to be back home by 3pm to take Alli to work.
Phew! But hopefully everything goes as planned for a safe and uneventful trip for me... Annnd - I still have AIR, so that makes for a nicer trip for sure.
I doubt I'll be able to check in tomorrow morning... So, I hope you all have a great day or two.
D~
