D~ I don't know how this change has effected you...but it has made he furious! It makes my whole BOG meal on my birthday no longer work! I am heading back to the drawing board!
Good Luck!
Nini
I am so sorry to hear this Nini. I hope you are able to get something worked out. The changes did not affect me at all, so I guess I am pretty lucky.
I have a BOG conflict as well. I am way too overwhelmed with the thought of back to the drawing board though. Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards
I don't blame you - I would be very overwhelmed/upset too... There is just so much that goes into the planning, and to have the rug pulled out from under you after it's all done - it's just rediculous.
Scary funnel cloud!! We've been having heavy rains and thunder storms so loud, there was NO sleeping possible! I'm getting ready to build an ark!
Hopefully you dry out soon.
Thanks for the link to the Vera Bradley story. I always thought it was just one woman named Vera Bradley. I like your bags better
I did too, at first - but I read that story many years ago, so I think VB has always been a company?
I like to carry the small sunscreens with me every day too. And I wear lip balm that has SPF as well. That Florida sun can be brutal! And I'm fair skinned, so need all the protection I can get.
Yup - I stocked up on my little sunscreens yesterday... I have almost everything I need now for our trip... I just need to buy my little short shorts (bloomers - or whatever they are called) to go under my dresses. I have longe ones now, but I think I want th shorter ones for Disney. I also need to buy a black sports bra to go under my Minnie tank top. And a package of sponges to soak with dish detergent to wash our mugs with - I did that last year, and it worked so perfectly.
Getting a bathing suit a size smaller would probably be a great idea. I'm glad you are back to your work outs, even though you are unable to do the squats with weights right now. You are being very smart to give yourself time to heal fully before jumping back in.
The dotted suit came yesterday, I tried it on and it fit perfectly. It's the bottoms I am having an issue with... The skirt is a size 12, but even though I am wearing 12s in everyhing now, the skirt still seems like it's tight.

Not the skirt itself, but the undies underneeth it. I am not exchanging it though, because I am sure it will fit me by the time we go on our trip, so I will just deal with it being snug at the lake over the 4th.
I do not eat bread. Very rarely. I plan for it if I do, so there may me some JJ bread in my future if it's that good. I'm about 80/20 on staying away from my allergy foods. Dairy is the hardest!
That's what I thought - I knew there were a few of you here that don't eat bread, and I thought you were one of them.

Yes, JJ's bread is worth trying once, but I wouldn't make it a regular occurance. I've been doing really well lately, but I do feel like I have a lot of stomach bloat for some reason? Maybe the rest of me is just getting smaller, and my stomach is lagging behind? LOL
I am totally in love with that bag! The blue fabric is gorgeous. I could so see a skirt for one of my granddaughters. I just ordered some fabric for the first time ever. It was from 5 Bucks a Yard. I don't know if you ever ordered from there, but it was recommended on a Facebook group I'm part of, so I'm anxious to see if the quality is good. I usually like to feel the fabric before I buy.
Thank you... I love that blue color - it's almost a cornflower blue, it's very pretty and perfectly "Castle-esque". I order almost all of my fabric off of Etsy... I stick to the "name brands"... Moda, Riley Blake, Michael Miller, Robert Kaufman - then I am almost guaranteed great quality. I feel really passionately about "supporting the small guy", so I like ordering from there.
I hope the red shorts fit well for you. I need to get a couple pair and a couple of tops. I may make my tops. I don't like the summer colors that are out now.
I hope so too. LOL They should be here today, so I will find out. I am still trying to get into the Hollister shorts I ordered a couple of months ago... I can get them on - but they are not pretty. It's my goal to be able to wear them by our trip, which I think is easily doable. I've also been buying up my favorite tank tops when they are on sale... Target makes my favorites - they are Mossimo and Merona.

However, I would like to find one more royal blue one... Target had them this spring, and I purchased 1... But then they clearanced them out right away, so I never got a 2nd. Now I am looking everywhere for a nice fitting, comfy royal blue one. I think
Walmart had some? I may check there today while I am in town - hopefully they fit well enough? They are only $3.94... I like the price, but the price scares me too. LOL
I had to laugh when you said "put her in a chair and make her stay there". Sounded like you were talking about time out or a pet or something. Just struck me funny.
Well, that is the plan... I have lots of work to do, and so little time to do it in. Gonna park her butt in a chair, and put her to work. I would never let anyone help me with my orders or auction bags - but these are all personal, and quilting is easy... So, if she can - at least - help out with her's and Olivia's bags, it would be immensely helpful.
I hope you have a great day at Target.
Thank you - it wasn't awful - so that's good.
Yes, your trip is getting so close! You are going to let someone else help you??? This definitely surprises me, coming from YOU! I guess desperate times call for desperate measures, right? VERY proud of you my friend!!!
Yup - I am letting someone else help me. LOL Only with our trip stuff though - and for that matter, probably not with my trip stuff - just theirs. I know, I am just way too controlling and picky about what goes out of my sewing room. But if she can quilt while I am appliqueing - that would knock a full day off of each bag I make.

Depending on what she helps me with - that could save me several days.
Do not forget that planning is so much of the fun...don't forget to live in the moments of POSITIVE anticipation.. you are going back to Disney WITH your BFF!!!!!
Oh, I know! I am even more excited because Suzi is there right now, so she is sending me lots of pictures... Ahhh... So excited for her, but I cannot wait for our turn either.
The planning is the best part - but I always seem to NOT leave myself enough time at the end, plus I always seem to add more on to my list... LOL I need to stop doing that.
I really don't know how you do everything. Your "to-do" list makes me want to run and hide. But, you always seem to get it done.
Hahaha... Well, I am a creature of habit, and I am also very strict about my schedule... As long as I hit certain benchmarks every day - the rest of my day is free for me to do whatever I want... BUt I also have to hit certain benchmarks to do other things too - like eat (that's a big motivator for me)... I have to hit certain spots in my bag making before I allow myself lunch - so that really helps me make my time goals.
I am glad the changes to EMH didn't change any of your plans. I am a little worried because they didn't change any of the dates I am there. So, now there is an evening EMH at MK on 8/30 (new) & 8/31 (original). 8/31 is our arrival day, so we had planned on avoiding MK because of the EMH. However, with 2 EMH days back to back, I am wondering if the 8/31 (Sunday) should still be avoided. Then I am wondering if I should even try moving my days around, because that is a hassle. We are planning Hollywood Studios, but I am worried that the crowd will hit MK on Saturday for the 1st EMH and then all show up Sunday at Hollywood Studios. I don't know what to do.:
What does Josh on EasyWDW suggest? I usually follow him and Touring Plans for which parks on which days.
Life has been a bit chaotic, so while I've been able to read and mostly keep up with my subscriptions and weekly try to update my own TR I haven't had a lot of time for extra comments. We had a one day fine arts fair the first Saturday in June, Ian's 4th birthday on the 19th and party on the 21st, and now I'm working on getting everything ready for them to go to Camp Grandma for a week and to prepare our our last summer convention (unless we get off of the wait list for one in August).
Sounds like you have been super busy! Happy Birthday to Ian!

And Camp Grandma sounds like fun!
To have a funnel cloud so near sounds scary. I'm glad it never hit and all went well.
Our last bag with the castle looks amazing. I love the blue fabric you have used on the bag.
Sounds like you have too much to do before your trip. I'm crossing my fingers that you will get everything done before the trip without getting too exhausted.
Yes, it was scary looking back at it, I am just glad I didn't see it in the sky = then I would have been a crazy mess.
Thank you... I really like it too.
Lots to do yet, but hopefully I can get it all done.
Don't you hate the way life sneaks up on you like that right before going away! I just realized I have a TON of things to get done before we leave for our vacation to Maine - ugh.
Oh I hope you have time for another mini auction before your trip. I personally the Tween bags you had. I'm guessing they don't take as much time to make. i know that sized bag is perfect for my two girls
It does! Yikes, I just don't know how I am going to get it all done? Lots of evenings and weekends in my sewing room - for sure. Oooh, Maine... I have plans to visit Maine next year - really looking forward to it.
I hope so too - but we will see? It just depends on if I can get everything else done first? I want to see how the people who won the mini-bags like them before I make anymore for auctions, but they are a great sized bag, I think.
Sounds like there will be no rest for you!! Lots to do before your trip That is what keeps the excitement going and the trip so exciting!!
Yup - no rest for the weary, LOL. I am very excited about everything I have planned - it's just going to be a bit crazy for a few more weeks. I was hoping to have a bit of rest after my auctions were done, but it doesn't look like that will be the case. Oh well - it's all fun stuff.
I would love it if you did another auction bag before your trip!! That would be so exciting and I bet you would have plenty of $$ for souvenirs as we would all only have one choice to bid on.
I am hoping to have the time, we will see. I will have to get all of my trip stuff done first - then I will consider it. It sure would be nice to have the extra spending $$ though.
Just wanted to let you know that I read on another site that the Garden Grill is back to rotating!! So hopefully you will get to stick with your ressie. We ate there a few years ago and the charecter interaction is awesome!! The food was so/so but who are we kidding it is about the charecters anyway!!
Hmmm... THat's good to know. I am still debating on it... It would have to come out of my meager souvinir $$ right now... I am actually quite sure it's going to get cut. Sadly.
Well have a good day and glad to hear your back is feeling better just don't over do it.
Thanks for making me feel so welcome to the dis boards!!
I always look forward to reading your post each morning
Thank you - and you too. I am glad you've come out of lurkdom... It's so fun to particpate here and make lots of friends - who share our Disney love.
Busy Busy Busy!! Me Too
I need to schedule my time better and get walking farther. T does walk me every evening and we always go up the mountain (think little hill if you live in the west and your mountains are gigantic rocks jutting up from the tectonic plates) At least as for as my asthma/the weather will allow.
Hahaha... MM likes to walk me too... Our town is one big hill and I hate walking here - so I feel your pain... Ours is up one steep side, and down the other, so I never feel like I get a happy medium of a walk - it's always really hard or really easy.
We're actually between our tornado seasons here - we have a spring season and a fall season. We do have our summer weather pattern happening though; hot and humid with the ever present 20%-50% chance of rain from 3Pm to about 7PM.
Well, at least it's a little predicable.
I'm trying to do a little in my sewing room each day, and I signed up for a swap on another site so that'll keep me motivated. I actually have my bag cut out & will hopefully finish it up this weekend so I can post pictures on my PTR.
Have a great week and don't stress too much!
Prayers and healing to those that need 'em!
Good job... I love doing swaps... It's been a few years since I've done one though. I hope you have fun doing it.
You too!

So, I worked at Target all day yesterday. V went with me, and hung out in Starbucks/around town all day. One of her friends met her later, and then she came home with us to spend the night.
This morning, I have to bring MM to the Vet for his shots. He is going to love me.
Then, I plan to come home and work for a little bit.
Around lunch time, I plan to bring V's friend home.
I have to stop at walmart and get a few supplies for our park bags... Stabilizers actually. I also plan to look and see if they still have royal blue tank tops to go with one of my Donald outfits.
Then back home to work on my custom order some more.

Disney update: So, the family was all busy doing other stuff last night, so I went back up to my sewing room for a little while... OK - for the rest of the night after dinner.
I was able to finish a few easy things for our trip...
First, I did the Minnie head that I plan to straight stitch on to the bottom of my dress for Chef Mickey's... I feel like it's missing something though? Probably not, because once I get all of my other bling shown with it... The head gear, the Pixie Twist jewels, my park bag, and the flip-flop bling... It will probably be kind of good that the dress isn't OTT (Over The Top). LOL
Then, I did my "Duck Butt" set... These are a little small - which is what I wanted... They will get straight stitched on to the bottom front left side and the bottom back left side of my tank top...
For size reference:
All of these designs came from Heather Sue's site... And I used my embroidery machine to do them. I love using it - but it's rare that I get the opportunity... So, I am glad I get to use it for some of our trip stuff.
I have one more Donald Duck felt thingy to make for my other Donald outfit - which I may do tonight... Then I will have all of them done for me.
Oh - I also ordered ALL of the fabric for all of our park bags for this trip. As I said yesterday, I have 5 bags to make. So, that's on the way, and it should be here by the weekend, hopefully. Depending on how my week in the sewing room goes - I may be able to start on our own park bags this weekend.

I hope you all have a fantastic day today! Sending out prayers and good thoughts to all!
