Sew much to do, sew little time - but it was worth it! New PTR link posted! ~~~~~~~~~

Dear D~,

I have missed commenting on SO much and when I THINK I am gong to have a minute to say hello...the DIS is SO slow! LOVED your latest installment and all of them, as a matter of fact. Teen age girls and attitudes...seem worse than teen age boys, at least in our case. Glad things defrosted for you all! LOVE Devine, she is so cool! RNR Coaster...I love it, but haven't had time to ride since Lisa was born. She can't so I won't. The ONE time I slipped away to get my thrill in (she was occupied at Little Mermaid with Dad), the ride broke down with ME sitting to take my turn after having waited FOREVER it seemed in the fast pass lane...I took that as I sign I wasn't supposed to ride, since Lisa can't. LOVE your Yeti hat pics, but ouch for falling down the stairs.

I was smiling over the Easter baskets...sounds like some of you put as much in the basket as we do for Christmas. My children each have a chocolate bunny, some mini snickers, mini Reeses PB cups and a few mini twix (Lisa's favorite).

I loved the latest pics of Max, he is really growing, what a sweetheart and I am SO happy he didn't get hurt when he ran in the street. CONGRATS to Josh and may his recovery continue! I KNOW what it is like to have a whacky work shift, praying for you to enjoy this change as long as you can!

I LOVE Lynn's Figment bag and actually teared up thinking of her getting a surprise, she does SO much for so many!!! I don't know Terry, but LOVE her too for making Lynn smile!
:bday:party: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYNN!!!!! :bday:party:

What a GREAT bag to carry to your CM job every day! That should put you at the head of the list to become permanent since they re-opened the store!

D~, your family has had a very rough and exciting year thus far...I hope today brings you peace and a feeling of renewal!

Great FOLK shots. I can't wait to see all the shows when I go in July with my cousin. She loves theater, so we will hit them all. Bradey didn't want to watch any. Can't wait. And thanks for the tip to sit in the back. Still good view from there if you've never been?
We sat near the back when we were there and the view was great -- of course the theater was only about half full so that helped too. The only downfall was they didn't pull my dd to dance -- and she was even dressed in an dress that I made that was all animal print. They pulled the kids from the front rows.

I really don't think there's a bad seat in the theatre... unless you sit in the seats that are all on the main level - you might have heads in your way... Try to sit up in the bleachers.

D~
They only had bleachers when we were there -- no main level seating. Wonder if they added that?

Your pics are great -- I think I filmed it -- can't remember -- can't even look at my recording b/c the program is askew on the computer and even though it's been two years and dh is well aware of the problem he has yet to fix it.

I was contacted several months ago by someone I'd never "met"... Wanting to do something special for someone that happens to be a mutual acquaintance. You see - this someone special - happens to be Cajunfan - who happens to be one of these wonderful people who always does such nice things for others. :lovestruc You can't imagine how excited I was to be part of the Pixie Dust.

So, when Terry contacted me - I knew just what she was talking about, because I knew exactly which bag Lynn wanted - and I knew exactly what I was going to throw in from me too. :lovestruc

And, in case you all forgot, I do love giving out the Pixie Dust... but I do find it hard to keep my mouth shut... LOL

Anyways - the UPB for Lynn - which was a birthday gift for her from Terry...

So, Lynn - I hope you have the most specatacular Birthday! And I am so glad you like your Pixie Dust! :lovestruc

D~
That is so cute!!!! I especially love the back side applique :lovestruc I also really like the fabrics.

Hope you have a Happy Easter! We are headed to my (ready for a mouthful) sister's boyfriend's daughter's house today. They are opening the pool and the kids are dying to swim -- thankfully it's heated b/c it is only supposed to be about 70 today. I told them the kids they might just have to hot tub instead of swim, but they didn't like that idea. So if the little fools want to swim so be it -- I'm not going in! I made my (ready again?) sister's boyfriend's grandson a couple of appliqued t's for his basket -- just baseball ones as they love baseball.

D, I am totally digging your FotLK pictures! We missed it this trip, and it's always a must do for us. So stop being stingy with the pictures! :lmao:

I hope you're okay after you encounter with the steps. :guilty:

I love seeing Divine! For years we had searched for her. After I gave up, we found her. :lmao: And then we got to see her again this year, only I didn't feel so well and didn't really want to stand around and watch her appear and disappear.

Sorry that the "ride" broke at KS. Did you ever find out what the issue was? :confused3

Totally love your Figment bag!! Then again, I totally love ALL your work!

Oh my, I tell ya sometimes, ok most times,my brain just doesn't think as well as it should...but then again, I am a guy, so I'm sure you ladies are used to us not being smart......

Anyways, I'm reading your last post and you said you went and saw FOLK and you do everytime, and was wondering why I had never heard of it....then saw your pictures and thought, wow...FOLK looks a lot like Lion King(what we call it).....oh boy...:rotfl2:

Well...if you hadn't had a good laugh yet today....you're welcome...

Yes, thank you for the laugh! :thumbsup2
:lmao::rotfl2: :lmao::rotfl2: :lmao::rotfl2:

I LOVE IT!!! And thanks for posting pictures! It made me cry I was so HAPPY!

THANK YOU again to you & TERRY!

Awww... Sorry the bag made you cry! I hope it was a wonderful cry though... I need to go friend you on FB, so I can see all the comments on your bag - LOL.

Lion King is our favorite stage show at Disney! Your pictures turned out really well! Looking forward to hearing about your "special thing."

Thank you - I just loved the way the lighting was showing up on my camera... I think I finally have the settings just right for dark stage shows like that... It's only taken me 5 years and 3 cameras. :thumbsup2

That bag is awesome! Makes me wish I had splurged on the applique on the back! Next time for sure!

Ok Stephanie - it won't be long and you'll be making your own bags - you won't need me to make you another one... :wizard: I am loving everything you've been making - it looks so awesome!

Love these pics of the girls!!!

Devine. . . Did I ever tell you about how on Phalen's first ever trip my Dad followed Devine around for an hour which led to Phalen telling people we met later in the week that "Papa loves trees that walk . . . he took a million pictures of one one time"

Thanks Marianne... ROFL about Phay! :rotfl2:

Hi! I have definitely been lurking on your TR and finally decided to post! I love the figment purse and zipper wallet! also, i could not resist purchasing the yeti hat that your daughter (A) is wearing in the pic, even though I have yet to conquer the yeti

Welcome!!! And thank you! :lovestruc I loved the Yeti hat... and you need to try EE just once - sit in the middle... The front is too slow (or fast, depending on the direction you are going) and the back is too fast (or slow depending on the direction you are going) - The middle is just right. I have this huge fear of heights - so I can't look down during certain parts of the ride (going up the main lift hill, and when you first start going backwards around the corner - if you look down, you can see down in the mountain - and that creeps me out)... But it's the most amazing ride ever - and some of the G forces are incredible! :lovestruc

:I didn't know what FOLK meant either. Didn't look closely enough at the photos to figure it out either. Now I get it.

Really enjoying your report- I am getting lots of ideas for our summer trip.

LOL about FOLK... Always happy to give out ideas. LOL

LOVE your Yeti hat pics, but ouch for falling down the stairs.

Awww.... Judy... Thanks for stopping by - I know you are so busy and have so much going on... And then to take the time to read and comment - it means a lot to me.

Yes - the attitudes are just wonderful (sarcasm)... That's a bummer about missing out on rides - but I really think I would be the same way - it wouldn't be the same riding with out someone you love next to you.

Yah - the stairs weren't so much of a fall as an Epic Fail... You know, stairs to my left - camera in front of my face - step to the left as I am walking away and there's no ground there - I was able to catch myself as I was making my body into all sort of strange contortions - I should have just fallen, because it would have looked better. Alli and I laughed hysterically for about 20 minutes - and I am sure the other people around us did too. :rolleyes1

[I was smiling over the Easter baskets...sounds like some of you put as much in the basket as we do for Christmas. My children each have a chocolate bunny, some mini snickers, mini Reeses PB cups and a few mini twix (Lisa's favorite).

This year, they each get one chocolate bunny... a variety of Easter chocolate and candy (must have Reese's eggs and chocolate Peepsters) and each of them got a Skylander... All affectionatly displayed in a Target bag :rolleyes1 - because I couldn't find their baskets. :confused3 Not only that, but we couldn't hide eggs this year, because of Max... So, those are in a Target bag, as well. :rotfl2: But, in years past, they girls did get a lot more - but that was when they were still believers... They holidays change so much when they get older. :sad2:

[I loved the latest pics of Max, he is really growing, what a sweetheart and I am SO happy he didn't get hurt when he ran in the street. CONGRATS to Josh and may his recovery continue! I KNOW what it is like to have a whacky work shift, praying for you to enjoy this change as long as you can!

Thank you Judy - Max is getting to be so much bigger every day - he has really gangly legs now... and getting to be a bigger baby. LOL I know, we were so lucky that no one was coming when he ran into the road - we don't get a lot of traffic out here - but the traffic we do get is always going FAST and not paying attention.

And thank you for your comments about Josh's neck/shoulder/arm and his work shift. Today is his only day off for another week, because his schedule was changed, he lost a day off in there - I feel so bad for him.

[I LOVE Lynn's Figment bag and actually teared up thinking of her getting a surprise, she does SO much for so many!!! I don't know Terry, but LOVE her too for making Lynn smile!
:bday:party: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYNN!!!!! :bday:party:

I know Judy - I feel the exact same way... I was sooo ELATED when Terry contacted me! What an amazing person to do something like that for another amazing person!!! Pixie Dust is my favorite thing to do! :lovestruc

[What a GREAT bag to carry to your CM job every day! That should put you at the head of the list to become permanent since they re-opened the store!

Ooooh - I didn't even think of that! AWESOME!!!!!

[D~, your family has had a very rough and exciting year thus far...I hope today brings you peace and a feeling of renewal!
Thank you Judy - you always say things so elloquently... I wish I could write with the sentiment that you do - because I certainly feel the exact same way about you, your family and the rest of my Dis friends. :grouphug:

Oooh - I love that graphic... I wanna steal it. LOL IT's so cute!

We sat near the back when we were there and the view was great -- of course the theater was only about half full so that helped too. The only downfall was they didn't pull my dd to dance -- and she was even dressed in an dress that I made that was all animal print. They pulled the kids from the front rows.

They only had bleachers when we were there -- no main level seating. Wonder if they added that?

That is a bummer that she didn't get picked - yes, that is a draw back to sitting in the back.

I am not sure when they added the level seating, maybe it was just in our section, since we were sitting above the handicapped area? There's probably about 10 rows of bleachers that are all on ground level.

[Your pics are great -- I think I filmed it -- can't remember -- can't even look at my recording b/c the program is askew on the computer and even though it's been two years and dh is well aware of the problem he has yet to fix it.

How annoying! I would love to have that show on film, maybe next time.

[That is so cute!!!! I especially love the back side applique :lovestruc I also really like the fabrics.

Thanks!

[Hope you have a Happy Easter! We are headed to my (ready for a mouthful) sister's boyfriend's daughter's house today. Sounds like an interesting and fun day ahead for you! I hope you have a wonderful Easter too!

D, I am totally digging your FotLK pictures! We missed it this trip, and it's always a must do for us. So stop being stingy with the pictures!

Maybe I'll add more on your TR, so you can look at them as much as you want? LOL

[I hope you're okay after you encounter with the steps.

Totally OK... More embarassed than anything. I actually faked a limp for a little while - I figured people wouldn't laugh so much if they thought I was hurt. :rotfl2:

[I love seeing Divine! For years we had searched for her. After I gave up, we found her. :lmao: And then we got to see her again this year, only I didn't feel so well and didn't really want to stand around and watch her appear and disappear.

She is amazing - I could have watched her all day.

[Sorry that the "ride" broke at KS. Did you ever find out what the issue was?

It's totally OK - in retrospect - it put us in the right place at the right time later in the day for our Pixie Dust. :wizard:

[Totally love your Figment bag!! Then again, I totally love ALL your work!

Thanks! :)

Josh is making breakfast and needs help - so I can't hang out here, as much as I would like to... So I just want to wish each and every one of my Dis friends a

Happy Easter!

Love the figment bag

I hope your fall was short lived, and didn't have too many witnesses ;)

Great FOLK pictures. The colors are so brilliant in that show. I might have to see in this next trip just to take pictures. (My family isn't too into shows, but they since we haven't seen it in several years, they'd go. Or, I can let them do the EE loop about 5 times, while I see it. :upsidedow)

The figment bag is adorable! (All of your bags are adorable!)

Can't wait to read about the magic! popcorn::

I hope you didn't hurt yourself on the stairs?

What kind of camera do you use? Your FOLK pictures are incredible! We always try to sit in the back of the Elephant or Wart Hog section to get a back rest!

The Figment bag is great!! I will always stand in total aww of you all who can sew! :worship::worship:

:Love the figment bag. I have liked him since he first appeared at Epcot, but since other people who haven't been to Epcot have never heard of him, I stick with Stitch as my favorite character. Can't wait till it is time for my bag!

This is too funny! Figment is my all time favorite, but I usually say Stitch to most people because not everyone knows Figment. When I first interviewed at The Disney Store (group interview years ago) the manager asked who was our favorite character...I hesitated and answered that my favorite was Figment but most people don't know him so I will pick Stitch...she leaned over patted my hand and said ....Figment is my favorite too! I was also so please that they let me have him on my name tag when the store re-opened!

I am going to the mall to walk around (I have not been for that reason since they reopened over a week ago...) I will most definitely be stopping by The Disney Store to show everyone my bag! The Figment Bag will now be my everyday bag! I love that much and I am that much of a Figment Geek!

Awww... Sorry the bag made you cry! I hope it was a wonderful cry though... I need to go friend you on FB, so I can see all the comments on your bag - LOL.

It was a good cry...it is just really hard to surprise me and this totally got me!

I loved that Yeti hat too...I thought the hair/wig was kind of fun too!;)

The stairs...what can I say, been there done that...not that particular place, but I trip over my own feet all the time...

Max is such a typical Golden! Too cute! He will look really gangly for a while but will eventually fill out! Keep posting pictures!

Glad to hear about Josh's job! It will all work out for the best!

My friend Terry and her family are very special! We got to know each other because her daughter and my son were in school together...then she got me hooked on Disney! My first trip with my son was at the same time they were there too (and we stayed at POFQ!)...we purely by accident ran into each other in front of the castle to watch the parade...the boys thought that was so cool to see someone in the park...ever since then, we have been good friends and Disney Geeks...but this was a total surprise to me! And I love the zippered wallet...it holds my name tag now (ok and some change)...but I love that it is a safe place for the name tag!

Thanks again!

Hey D,
Loving the update. I am loving the Devine pictures. I have yet to see her. I was going to make it my mission to see her this year, but on the day I went it was raining and I just wasn't in the mood to find her anymore. :confused3

I love FotLK. I have now seen it 3 times and I agree with you, the only character I think might have been diffrent for me this time was the thinner girl. But everyone needs a day off now and then, right?:lmao:

How awsome that you got to ride EE so many times in the morning. :scared1: Loving it!!!

I just love doing these, it is so much fun to see how the girls have changed and how the same locations have changed as well.

OK!! you can stop making me cry anytime now. Sweet baby dogs and growing up too fast baby girls. Mine are 2 and 4. We took them for the first time last Sept. They loved it (of course). But I have wonderful dreams of taking them over the years, watching them grow and enjoy each trip differantly.

Hey D~ we are home....got back about 730 this morning! having a tough time with the time change and very tired....will be back tomorrow to get caught up!

hope you all are having a wonderful Easter!

Happy Easter dear friend!!!!

I hope you have had a wonderful day!!!

Yay, I'm all caught up! Great TR! Love the Figament bag!
Your Lion King photos were great! What kind of camera were you shooting with? I'm kind of a photo junkie - our September trip will be my first Disney trip with my DSLR. I can't wait!

HAPPY EASTER....

Thanks Michelle - I hope you had a wonderful Easter too!

Love all your new updates. Now did you get a picture with Donald at TH?

ACK! Yes, I did - I need to scan it don't I?

Congrats on your DH getting the promotion.

Thanks!

Love the figment bag

Thanks - it turned out pretty cool.

I hope your fall was short lived, and didn't have too many witnesses

ROFL... Yah - well the one that I wish didn't see it, did (Alli) - so I'll hear about it for the rest of my life.

Great FOLK pictures. The colors are so brilliant in that show. I might have to see in this next trip just to take pictures. (My family isn't too into shows, but they since we haven't seen it in several years, they'd go. Or, I can let them do the EE loop about 5 times, while I see it.)

You should go see it - we always like to go in the afternoon to get a break from the heat and relax our feet a bit.

The figment bag is adorable! (All of your bags are adorable!)

Thanks Deb!

Can't wait to read about the magic!

I was hoping I would have time to post about it today before I go to work - but I think it might have to wait until tomorrow.

D! I cant wait to read about your trip! So far I've seen the super cute painted nails! I'm excited for the rest!

 I am soooo happy to see you here - I've missed you!! I hope you'll continue to hang out and stop in once in a while... You need to find a reason to plan another trip! :lovestruc

I hope you didn't hurt yourself on the stairs?

Not at all - just wounded my pride a bit.

What kind of camera do you use? Your FOLK pictures are incredible! We always try to sit in the back of the Elephant or Wart Hog section to get a back rest!

I have a P&S Cannon Power Shot Elph 300HS... So far, I am very happy with it. I love Depth of Field shots, and this camera does do a little bit of it... I also am quite happy with the low light pictures it takes... Much better than my old camera - but that could very well be user error. :confused3

The Figment bag is great!! I will always stand in total aww of you all who can sew!

Thanks Tink!

This is too funny! Figment is my all time favorite, but I usually say Stitch to most people because not everyone knows Figment. Cool - I hope you had fun carrying your bag at the mall!

It was a good cry...it is just really hard to surprise me and this totally got me!

Yay!!! I am so glad you were surprised!

I loved that Yeti hat too...I thought the hair/wig was kind of fun too!

They were both cute - I kind of wished Alli would have gotten the hat - I bet hers would have been original around here. LOL

The stairs...what can I say, been there done that...not that particular place, but I trip over my own feet all the time...

I know the feeling - I do it more than I care to admit. lOL

Max is such a typical Golden! Too cute! He will look really gangly for a while but will eventually fill out! Keep posting pictures!

I will! I know, I can't believe how gangly he's gotten over the last few days... but man - he is sooo smart. He is doing really well with the limited talents of our training. LOL

Glad to hear about Josh's job! It will all work out for the best!

I hope so. :lovestruc

My friend Terry and her family are very special! We got to know each other because her daughter and my son were in school together...then she got me hooked on Disney! Lynn

You're welcome! Thanks for telling me the story of how you and Terry met... That's so cool! And so awesome that you have such a great friend to share your Disney love with.

Hey D,
Loving the update. I am loving the Devine pictures. I have yet to see her. I was going to make it my mission to see her this year, but on the day I went it was raining and I just wasn't in the mood to find her anymore.

She is really cool - so captivating... Hopefully next time you'll get to see her.

[I love FotLK. I have now seen it 3 times and I agree with you, the only character I think might have been diffrent for me this time was the thinner girl. But everyone needs a day off now and then, right?

Exactly - LOL

[How awsome that you got to ride EE so many times in the morning. Loving it!!!

Yah - 3 or 4 times in a row is about my limit though - LOL

OK!! you can stop making me cry anytime now. Sweet baby dogs and growing up too fast baby girls. Mine are 2 and 4. We took them for the first time last Sept. They loved it (of course). But I have wonderful dreams of taking them over the years, watching them grow and enjoy each trip differantly.

LOL - Sorry! Yes, that is the most wonderful thing about Disney - every time you go, it's a totally different experience, as they grow their interests change and it's just amazing to watch - and so sad at the same time, once they're older.

I just love the Figmant bag!!! can't wait to see what you do next.

Thanks Ruth!

Hey D~ we are home....got back about 730 this morning! having a tough time with the time change and very tired....will be back tomorrow to get caught up!

hope you all are having a wonderful Easter!

Glad you're home! We've missed you! I can't wait to hear all about your trip and see the wonderful warmth and sunshine. I hope you had a wonderful (relaxing) Easter.

Happy Easter dear friend!!!!

I hope you have had a wonderful day!!!

Same to you... Sorry I didn't get a chance to wish you a Happy Easter - I hope your day was wonderful!

Yay, I'm all caught up! Great TR! Love the Figament bag!
Your Lion King photos were great! What kind of camera were you shooting with? I'm kind of a photo junkie - our September trip will be my first Disney trip with my DSLR. I can't wait!

Thanks! I am using a P & S Cannon Power Shot Elph 300HS... Just a basic point n shoot... but I really like it. It doesn't have quite the optical zoom that I'd like (only 5x), but I really like the rest of the camera. And according to the reviews online, even with the limited zoom and smaller megapixels (compared to what's out there now) still gets really high reviews. :thumbsup2

I was hoping to get an update done this morning before work - but I just don't think it's going to happen. :rolleyes1 Sorry guys - maybe tonight.

D~

OK, D, I followed your suggestion and used the Table of Contents and I'm all caught up!!! Thanks for having that, I know it takes a lot more time with linking and all.

You've got such a great report going!! I loved seeing the meet-up photos, still sad I couldn't make it.

I've decided that in 2014, we MUST do the Art of Animation, I think DS would really like that.

Aren't cranky kids in the morning fun?? We had the same with DD on our last morning, not good!!

And I totally hear you on the FP enforcement - I'm NOT a fan. We only had to deal with it for our last 3 park days, but it still stinks. We often used them during the times before anyways. But now, you know you can't grab them if the time doesn't work. It just seems harder. And it definitely doesn't make the FP lines shorter, so what's the point? I don't get it!

Quick drive by post...

Just thought you might like to know you and your UPBs are the talk of FB over on the Disney Custom-a-holic page!

Those ladies are tough and they are raving about your bags and AG dresses! (and I can say "I knew her when"! )

Nini

Sandy - I am glad you are all caught up... I've been trying to keep my ToC updated, sometimes I forget - but when I notice I fix it. :) Yah - the FP is for the birds, I don't like it at all. Hopefully Disney will find some sort of happy medium where they can enforce the FPs, but still let guests enjoy their vacations.

Really Nini? That's cool! Hopefully someone that has one will speak up and give a review. LOL

I am in the process of writing my next update... I was having some really severe rib pain again this morning - so I had to lay down and ice my ribs for a good hour. I had to get up and let MM out though - so I am trying to grit my way through it, I have too much to do today to mess around with this... Grrr...

OK - quick update, because I know you all have been waiting for this one - then up to my sewing room to start my next bag.

D~

I have been waiting.

But then again, I want you in your sewing room...

Oh the dilemma. Entertainment vs. Goodies....
