Sew much to do, sew little time - but it was worth it! New PTR link posted! ~~~~~~~~~

Marianne, that picture is absolutely A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!!! (Why are we spelling?) I love it! I hope you have it framed!!

D, grats to your DH!!!! :woohoo: I'm so happy for you guys! And FYI, I'm already planning at least two more bags for you to create later this year and/or early next year. I think I'll surprise DD with a bag for either Christmas or her birthday. I'm still trying to figure out WHO will get created onto the bag. :lmao: So you'll get at least one more mini UPB order sometime. :thumbsup2 The second one will be for my neice, so it will be the for a little girl. :yay:

And ... I have an idea for a third that I'm rolling around with ... actually, two ideas. :scratchin D, has a claim on my bank account. :lmao:

Thanks Liddy - just LMK when you have your account ready to hand over to me. :thumbsup2

That is awesome - there is nothing better (to me) than people that like my bags enough to order a second one (or in your case... 3rds and 4ths - LOL)... I am anxious to hear what you have planned... Which characters are you thinking of for dd?

Hmmm.... I am super curious about the 3rd idea... I think your DH needs a Chef Mickey Man Bag. :rolleyes1

D~

How cute that you call your puppy Maxi! That's what we called our big,old soft-hearted yellow lab. Have a great week end, Ruth

Yay for Josh's promotion! :cool1: That is so awesome! And loving the puppy pics too...keep 'em coming!

For DD ... I'm torn between a Princess (Cindy or Aurora), a Fairy (Tink or Rosetta), or some characters (Tigger, Minnie, Mickey, Marie are at the top of the list).

If I do one for my neice, it would be a Tangled bag (everytime she comes to my house she asks to watch Tangled).

I'm not ready to reveal what I have mulling in my mind for myself. And when I am ready, it will be in PMs. :lmao: I can't let anyone steal my ideas. :thumbsup2

A Chef Mickey man-purse does sound pretty awesome. :scratchin But I think he'd kill me. :rotfl2:

Thanks Ruth - you too - Have a wonderful Easter! Yes, I call him Maxy all the time. :lovestruc

Thanks Suzi - I'd forgotten to tell you all about that one a long time ago - honestly, the promotion is nice, but I just like having him on a normal shift for a while.

Um - wow... You have a big list to widdle down. I thought if maybe it was one or 2, we could figure it out - but wow... I have some ideas I'll PM you about. :)

If I do one for my neice, it would be a Tangled bag (everytime she comes to my house she asks to watch Tangled).

Oh - for sure - that would be a super fun one to do!!!

I have a suspicion - but I'll keep it to myself.

I'd even make him his own napkin he could twirl whenever he got the urge... :rolleyes1

D~ <--- Who still needs to finish her applique... Get in the shower... Run to town to get bread (we're out)... and be home in an hour (or before my dad gets here, which ever comes first).

Should you ever decide to do this and wish to do a prototype, my favorite character is Bambi and my trip is scheduled for Septemper ;-)

Seriously, I finally made it through your PTR and started into your TR. I cannot thank you enough for sharing your sewing journey in your PTR. Not only have I tackled my fear of the sewing machine, but I've completed four custom pairs of shorts for my daughters for our trip.
What a wonderful trip to share with your daughters. Can't wait to read more!

~Julie

Julie, not that I have room for it, but where did you get your map of the USA that's in your signature? I'm assuming you can color in the states you've visited??? I love it!

And it looks like you figured out the way to jump to the front of the line with D~'s bags . . . just offer to be her prototype tester:thumbsup2

ROFL! That was the most adorable picture ever! I just love Finn and Vannah pictures - they are the most precious. :lovestruc

Josh had good news from work... I am not sure I mentioned it, but while he was on leave for his surgery, he was notified that he was given a nice promotion. He had applied for the postition back in Nov, and never heard anything back - so we assumed it was dropped - then about a week after his surgery, his boss called him and put him in on a conference call - where he was interviewed on the spot for the position. He found out about a week later that he got it. I am so very proud of him - he works very hard - and a lot of people at work give him a lot of flack for doing his job properly (as in, they don't, so he makes them look bad). It's very nice to see him get recognized like this - especially since he has only been with this employer for a year. Anyways, he was also supposed to get a shift change with this promotion - but the Union didn't want that to happen, so they challenged it. However, he was able to get a temporary shift change - which isn't a lot - but as a family, it's been so hard on us, because he has to go to bed super early every night, and a lot of times, he is so tired when he comes home that he naps away most of his afternoon - so we don't get to see him a lot. So, even if the shift change is only temporary - I'll still take it - because it means more family time for us. :lovestruc

My dad and brother are coming down today for Easter - they plan to spend the night. I kind of regret not getting the sleeper sofa now... :rolleyes1 Oh well - we will blow up our really nice air matresses - and hope they are comfortable. I am a bit concerned about Max - as my dad will most likely rile him up and wreck what little training we've been able to accomplish. Even though Max doesn't like to sleep in our room - he'll be sleeping up there tonight, because my dad likes to watch TV all night long - and that will keep Max awake all night long - no thanks. LOL I also need to get the eggs boiled, so we can dye eggs tonight.

V working with him last night on some of his retreiving skills...

I know, I love Finn & Vannah pictures too . . .they're getting to be more of a rarity lately though, poor Vannah is going through the "Terrible THREES" and is a little bit of a crabby pants. . .

Congrats to Josh on the promotion!!! And I hear you about shift changes . . .here's hoping they let him keep the better shift in the end!

Max is so cute! But my! how quickly golden retrievers grow! I love when they get to that gangly all legs age. . .

Enjoy the time with your Dad & brother! I hope you were able to convince V to clean for you so you could keep sewing!!! I did get my return made (and managed to leave the mall WITHOUT buying anything :woohoo:

Thanks!!! We actually have a photobook that is all pictures of Finn & Vannah . . . he gave her a copy last year for her birthday. . . We'll probably do another installment of this year's pictures for their 4th birthdays.

And I hear you on the UPB . . . I want another one too! But, I think I'm holding out until we can come up with one that will hold my DSLR so I only have to carry ONE bag at the park. . . I have some ideas of characters, but nothing concrete yet. . .

Thanks Liddy - just LMK when you have your account ready to hand over to me. :thumbsup2

me! me! me! I want another one :)

Um - wow... You have a big list to widdle down. I thought if maybe it was one or 2, we could figure it out - but wow... I have some ideas I'll PM you about. :)

Yes, it is a big list. I started asking her who her ultimate favorite character was and she just couldn't pick. And with all the character categories, it really is hard. I honestly considered getting her a Snow White bag to compliment my EQ bag, but that would be more for me than her. :lmao: I mean, she wouldn't turn it away, but Snow White isn't near her favorite character.

Oh - for sure - that would be a super fun one to do!!!

That's so good to hear! I have some ideas mulling around -- but I'm still not 100% she'll be joining us next year. If she's not joining us, she may not appreciate the bag as much. To her, it would just be a bag -- it wouldn't be something to carry an autograph book and park supplies in.

I have a suspicion - but I'll keep it to myself.

Oh ... now I'm curious -- because I'm certain we're not on the same page yet. :lmao:

I'd even make him his own napkin he could twirl whenever he got the urge... :rolleyes1

THAT would be epic! :cloud9: When he gets up from his nap, I'll be sure to run the idea by him!

D~ <--- Who still needs to finish her applique... Get in the shower... Run to town to get bread (we're out)... and be home in an hour (or before my dad gets here, which ever comes first).

While you're out, can you pick up some things for me? :confused3

That is so precious that you have a photobook of them!

I'm sure D can work her magic and create the ultimate bag for your supplies and DSLR! She's AMAZING! And she's a GENIUS! (D, please don't explode on us.)

I picture it now ... camping outside of D's house like people do for the newest Apple product. :lmao: She'll have a line around her entire block of people dying to get their hands on an UPB! :lovestruc

OK, fine, I will do an update today...

Once the girls and I finished eating our breakfast, we decided to head to EE via Aisia. When we got out there, the rope hadn't dropped yet... so we waited a little bit.

Once the rope dropped, we were off... Eventually, the crowd from the front gates met up with us at the other bridge, we were at the front of the pack though - so we just kept moving, as fast as our full bellies would allow.

V grabbed FPs while Alli and I got in line. They hadn't officially opened the ride yet, so we waited just long enough for V to hop in with us, then the line started moving. Stand-by was a 5 minutes, so the girls and I rode twice in Stand-by.

IMG_3580.jpg

IMG_3581.jpg

V rode 2 more times in the single rider line, while I snapped pictures in the area... I won't tell you about the part where right after I took the below picture, I fell down these steps that I didn't see - because I had the camera up to my face. :rolleyes1

IMG_3593.jpg

Yes, these stairs...

IMG_3594.jpg

Then we all rode again with our FPs.

We decided to head over to KS, on our way - we saw Devine... She is so captivating - I just couldn't take my eyes off of her - I only have one million more photos that I won't post - she is just gorgeous!

IMG_3619.jpg

We decided to ride KS stand-by, I am pretty sure the sign said the wait time was 20 minutes - I didn't write it down.

IMG_3621.jpg

IMG_3622.jpg

IMG_3626.jpg

The line moved at a pretty good clip - until we got right here. Then it stopped for a while. The CM came around and said they were emptying the line due to "technical difficulties"... The girls and I stood there for about 5 minutes, in denial - hoping they'd open the line again. But they didn't. So we were bummed and we left.

We headed over to Camp M&M...
IMG_3627.jpg

And we decided to see FOLK... Now this show never changes, that is part of the reason why I like it... I can guarantee you that the main characters/CM that were doing this show on our first trip in 2003, are the same people doing it now - and I like that - it's like seeing old friends.

We decided to sit in the way back, so we could lean on the railings - that was nice. Have to remember that trick for next time.
IMG_3629.jpg

IMG_3630.jpg

I know you all have seen photos of FOLK a million times - but almost all of my pictures turned out - for the first time ever - and some of them actually turned out kind of cool... So, I feel the need to post them.

I just love the monkeys! I could watch them all day long...

Great FOLK shots. I can't wait to see all the shows when I go in July with my cousin. She loves theater, so we will hit them all. Bradey didn't want to watch any. Can't wait. And thanks for the tip to sit in the back. Still good view from there if you've never been?

Oh my, I tell ya sometimes, ok most times,my brain just doesn't think as well as it should...but then again, I am a guy, so I'm sure you ladies are used to us not being smart......

Anyways, I'm reading your last post and you said you went and saw FOLK and you do everytime, and was wondering why I had never heard of it....then saw your pictures and thought, wow...FOLK looks a lot like Lion King(what we call it).....oh boy...:rotfl2:

Well...if you hadn't had a good laugh yet today....you're welcome...

Nothing like a teen girl mood swing to put a damper on your morning :upsidedow I have pictures from a trip we took when my DD was about that age and I'm not sure she smiled the whole trip... the next year we went and she looks like a different person in the pictures :) She's 27 now, and she's great company - unless she's tired, hungry, cold or wet ;)

OMG!!! I received a package from you today!!! I LOVE my FIGMENT bag and coin purse! Thank you to my friend TERRY for my birthday present and for your beautiful work on this bag! I am having trouble with photobucket so can't load pictures here but have done so on my facebook page.

Loving the trip report updates and the MAX updates...he is toooooo CUTE!

I really don't think there's a bad seat in the theatre... unless you sit in the seats that are all on the main level - you might have heads in your way... Try to sit up in the bleachers.

YAY!!! I am so glad you got it and you LIKE it!!! I always worry! Now I can share pictures here, because I just know that everyone thinks I've been doing nothing since I got back. LOL

D~

I was contacted several months ago by someone I'd never "met"... Wanting to do something special for someone that happens to be a mutual acquaintance. You see - this someone special - happens to be Cajunfan - who happens to be one of these wonderful people who always does such nice things for others. :lovestruc You can't imagine how excited I was to be part of the Pixie Dust.

So, when Terry contacted me - I knew just what she was talking about, because I knew exactly which bag Lynn wanted - and I knew exactly what I was going to throw in from me too. :lovestruc

And, in case you all forgot, I do love giving out the Pixie Dust... but I do find it hard to keep my mouth shut... LOL

Anyways - the UPB for Lynn - which was a birthday gift for her from Terry...

I LOVE IT!!! And thanks for posting pictures! It made me cry I was so HAPPY! :lmao:

THANK YOU again to you & TERRY!

Lion King is our favorite stage show at Disney! Your pictures turned out really well! :) Looking forward to hearing about your "special thing."

That bag is awesome! Makes me wish I had splurged on the applique on the back! Next time for sure!

Love these pics of the girls!!!

Devine. . . Did I ever tell you about how on Phalen's first ever trip my Dad followed Devine around for an hour which led to Phalen telling people we met later in the week that "Papa loves trees that walk . . . he took a million pictures of one one time" :rotfl2:

Hi! I have definitely been lurking on your TR and finally decided to post! I love the figment purse and zipper wallet! also, i could not resist purchasing the yeti hat that your daughter (A) is wearing in the pic, even though I have yet to conquer the yeti :(

:Love the figment bag. I have liked him since he first appeared at Epcot, but since other people who haven't been to Epcot have never heard of him, I stick with Stitch as my favorite character. Can't wait till it is time for my bag!

I didn't know what FOLK meant either. Didn't look closely enough at the photos to figure it out either. Now I get it.

Really enjoying your report- I am getting lots of ideas for our summer trip.
