WOW!!! YOu all were chatty yesterday...

So, before I answer any of your posts... I have a question of my own:

I would like to release pictures of my Launch bag here first. The Launch starts on Monday night. I was thinking I would release them on Friday, and Josh thinks I should wait until Sunday. The problem with that, is that I would like to release them on my FB fan page too - and I was thinking I would do that on Sunday. So, what day would you like to see me release them?

Um, TODAY naturally.

OK - boring day in the life of D~ today... Work... That's all.

I am kind of excited though... I did draw up plans for a new bag the other day... And I am super excited - I have the name picked out for it too... It will be a while before I can show you all a prototype though (at least the end of summer)... but it will be a small bag, just big enough to carry your essentials... therefore it will be called the "Essential Park Bag" or EPB. Now I just need to come up with a name for the backpack (which, Suzi - I'll be starting the prototype on that in just a couple of weeks )

So, give me your opinions on when I should release the photos of my Launch bag (additional details at the top of this post)... Anything before Friday is out of the question though.

Love your newest bag! Well, to be honest, I love all your bags! The detail you put into them is amazing! Just when I think you can't top the last bag you bring out your next bag and WOW me.

And your comment on my spelling of colour made me . I read an article in our newspaper recently on how the our government is thinking of doing away with the 'u' in these words (colour, honour, flavour, labour, etc.) and changing our '-re' words (litre, centre, theatre, etc.) to end in '-er'. There was a huge outpouring of support to keep our British spellings and not Americanize them. I don't care what they do, I'll probably still spell them the same way I always have. What can I say, old habits are hard to break!

I vote for Friday for releasing pictures of your Launch bag since you won't do it immediately. Sooner is better in my mind!

There are many words that I can't spell the "Americanized" way .. like behaviour to start. I asked my English professor what would happen if I spelled them with the 'u' and she said it would be considered incorrect and she'd dock me points. If it wasn't for F&R in Word, I'd have failed English Comp I. (Oddly though, the words you mention, I spell without the 'u'. )

I posted back in your PTR about how your story inspired me to pull out a sewing machine burried in my closet. Small update - I've deco'd 4 pairs of shorts for my kids and the kids love them! They've worn them A LOT and they still look great! Plus I've had fun making them. Thanks for sharing your sewing journey.

Love you update. I want to find a PhotoPass person like her. Maybe I will have to tell them that I want to fill up my CD too.

Remember last year, when I made that huge wedding gift for my BIL and his new wife? I spent a good two weeks sewing non-stop... a fairly simple project turned into a much larger one because I didn't taken into consideration all the cutting and ironing...

And then here's some pictures of them opening their gift from us (no, the baby is her neice)... Aren't they just the sweetest couple?

(yes, that's me peeking back in the corner - I was so nervous!)

And why is this relevant now, you ask? Well, yesterday was their 1st Anniversary, and they had a nice dinner at their house... Myrthe was so kind to send me pictures of their place settings... I makes me feel wonderful that they truly loved them and are using them - so I had to share... Itsn't it marvelous?

I think I get more enjoyment out of seeing people use and enjoy my items than the actual act of making them. That's why I really love to see when people post pictures of my bags in the parks - it gives me the biggest smile to know that people really love my stuff and they are willing to carry it in public...

Phew... I finally finished... With working so much last week at my *real job* and having the holiday weekend... it was just really hard for me to manage my time to complete this bag, but it's finished, and I am happy with it.

By the way...I can't wait to see the ESSENTIAL Park Bag...that might be right up my alley.... can you give me a hint as to what the dimensions might be?

Nini... Finished size will be roughly 8.5" tall by 6.5" wide - roughly. I only say that because I haven't even made the prototype yet, just a drawing... so that could vary slightly. You definately won't be able to get much more than the "essentials" into it... a small wallet, chap stick, kttw and PP cards... Maybe a small P&S camera? As long as your wallet is small enough... There will be a zippered pocket on the back for a cell phone, and a front slip in pocket for a folded park map or 2.
