Sew much to do, sew little time - but it was worth it! New PTR link posted! ~~~~~~~~~

:thumbsup2 Josh did a great job on the house. I am DH's helper too. We have done so many remodel projects I lost count. Our biggest one was when we decided to buy an 1885 Duplex and remodel it completely so we could rent it..... only to find out a few days after signing the papers I was pregnant with my DS4. :scared:

It took a year to finish but we got through it:lmao:

I am so glad no one has ever documented OUR remodel projects! I provide the designs and hubby provides the muscle. Halfway through the process...hubby decides I don't know what I am doing...so he takes off without supervision. Ending with us having to pay someone to come in and redo everything!

Which is why our deck around the pool was supposed to take only a few hours and ended up taking a few weeks. He was able to convince my son in law that I was having them do it wrong...and as they were almost finished...they both agreed my way was better and had to rip everything out and redo it... even though I had drawings done by an architect, with step by step directions!

Mr D has about three rows of hardwood flooring missing in his room. Because hubby didn't feel like finishing that day. It would have taken only about 15 to 30 minutes to finish then...but to go back now it would take an hour to move the furniture out, get all the tools ready and get to actually doing it... and that was 3 years ago!!!!

Glad your projects go a little more smoothly..

Nini

hope you will be able to come this summer, so want/need to meet you!

have fun shopping with V today...hope you post photos of A, sure she will be beautiful, wish her a great night!

well maybe I will start one, after all we are meeting up with DISer's :) guess the mod's could shut me down if I'm breaking any "rules" :lmao:

MOA sounds like fun. I'm sure V will have fun picking out her b-day presents with mom. How exciting that A is having her formal tonight. My DD who is in 5th grade is already planning her hairstyle for the prom! Can't wait to see the pictures.

Lisa - I think you could get away with a PTR that is non-Disney. We won't tell anyone.

thanks Liz...is that permission from you to add you to my PTR since we are meeting up??? btw sent you another PM....

Don't ask about my re-modeling projects I generally nag my dad until he hires someone to come in to do what I want.

Did I mention my dad is a contractor but hates doing anything with houses LOL:rotfl2:

That sounds like a huge project Michelle! I bet it turned out awesome though.

Awww... Nini... We have lots of unfinished projects around here - both of us do. LOL

I still plan on coming this summer. Victoria and I had lots of fun at the mall... We went to AG and got to see our favorite personal shopper, then we stopped at our 2 favorite stores... Hollister and Gilly Hicks. Then we came home. She was able to get a few good outfits - but I won't even tell you all about the stupid 30% off coupon I had, that wasn't good on anything in the store. Pfft...

I'll be posting pictures in a minute... We had a great day yesterday.

LOL - I think I like your dad. :thumbsup2

OK - pictures from Allison's formal. I posted them on FB last night - and some how everything I've been posting for the last 2 or 3 weeks was set to a custom visibility - so only about 6 people got to see it. Grrr... so I changed the visibility this morning and added another picture so all my other friends could see. :crazy2:

Anyways... as I was saying above... I picked V up from school yesterday, we stopped for lunch at Jimmy Johns (I think the girls and I could eat there every day of the week - LOL), and then we headed to the MOA.

V really wanted to stop at AG to see who was working, and our favorite personal shopper was there - so we stayed and chatted with her for about a half hour (probably longer).

Then off to Hollister... V ended up with a few cute outfits. I had an awesome coupon for 30% off your entire purchase - but everything was excluded. It was the stupidest thing ever, I was quite irritated, especially since we waited to do this shopping trip specifically to use this coupon. Grrr...

She was able to get a sweatshirt that she's been wanting for a while (even though it was the hottest day of the year - so far - yesterday). She got 2 cute pairs of shorts - usually I don't like their shorts - they are too short, but they've come out with "midi length" which are fine. She also got a couple of tank tops. A cute flowered skirt with a coordinating Tee shirt. And the most adorable bow flip flops. So, all in all - I feel she did pretty good with her budget. We had to leave several things behind because of the coupon - maybe next time?

And then we came home... My neighbor did Allison's hair for her - it turned out adorable! I took Alli to town, she went to her bff Marah's house and we took a few pictures. I felt so bad, because Marah broke her knee cap in Gym on Monday, so she had to wear this horrible brace. Poor girl!

And then the back of Marah's dress - I just loved it, so I had to take a pic!

The girls had a wonderful night.

We checked in for our lunch at Tusker house...

IMG_4217-1.jpg

Again, we got to meet Donald.

IMG_4219.jpg

We got seated, our lunch ADR was for 11am, so they were just finishing up breakfast and starting lunch. We begged our server for big glasses of their breakfast juice - I can't remember the name of it - but our server happily brought us glasses of it and kept refilling them, even though we were "technically" there for lunch.

We all went up to fill our plates... I got into the newly formed lunch line, and the girls opted for breakfast.

I tried a little of everything from the lunch menu - and pretty much hated everything. So, I ditched that plate and opted for breakfast.

It didn't take long for the characters to start coming to our table...

Dessert was excellent though - I am in love with the Banana Bread - Bread Pudding.

Yet again, we were stuffed when we left.

We decided to head back to the resort. Allison wasn't feeling well, and I had a headache.

Victoria fell asleep on my shoulder on the bus ride back to the resort...

IMG_4235.jpg

The girls decided to go swimming...

I layed down to take a nap, and I slept - I was so tired.

Allison looks beautiful!!!! so does her friend! love their dresses!!

bummer about the coupon, hate when stores do that! happy Victoria was able to get a few things....we haven't shopped at Hollister yet, thinking we might be hitting it soon, Megan's outgrowing all the other "girl" stores!

happy you are still coming to NC, I'd be so sad if you weren't...so would Judy
:sad::sad::sad:

looks like you had a fun time at Tusker house...think we might try it for breakfast on our next trip! have some AK character swap pieces I NEED to use!!
was it "jungle juice"??? think its the same juice they gave us last April on the African Trek we took.....SO YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry you and the girls had to cut your AK day short and weren't feeling so good.

LOL Lisa... I guess I should have elaborated... Our day isn't done yet - we were just taking a break. :) We head back to the park later. ;)

Thank you for all the comments on Allison and her dress - they did look beautiful. I want to steal that dress from her friend, so I can make a copy of it for Allison - well, at least a copy of the back - LOL I could never pay that much for an 8th grade formal dress - Senior Prom - Maybe, but not an 8th grade formal. It was beautiful though.

Totally coming to NC - even if I have to drive - I will be there. I've been looking forward to this trip since we got back from Disney - and I am definately going to be there. I am super excited to meet all my bestest friends from The Dis - now, hopefully they all can make it. :)

:woohoo: happy you are coming no matter what!!! can't wait to meet everyone too!

found out a couple days ago the babynala lives in the same town as my other DIS friend we are visiting in GA, so get to meet up with them again too!

Love both dresses!

We're doing TH too, and we have an 11 am so maybe we'll get a little breakfast and a little lunch. Dan would be happy to eat a late breakfast because he's quite convinced that he will like nothing on the lunch buffet. I will not be showing him your review. ;)

Love Ali's dress and her friend's!!

You must like Tusker House! We haven't eat there since they changed it to QS.

Alli looks so pretty in her dress. Great choice. ;)

I love the juice at Tusker House too. I would totally have been asking for huge glasses of it too.

OMG!! I love Ali's dress!! It's absolutely gorgeous!!! She looks great in it!!!

Don't you just hate the coupons that exclude everything that you want. At least it sounds like she got to at least get a few things that she wanted.

Love your new update on Tusker House! Can't wait to see what you guys do that afternoon.

So pretty! I like A's dress way better than Marah's (I think it's the color and the one shoulder strap that I don't like on Marah's) but I do love the back ties on Marah's. I'm glad the girls had a fun night :)
