ok so talk to me about options, dd1 has been diagnosed with a nut allergy, severe anaphylaxis to some tree nuts and severe contact allergies to tree and peanuts. I'm concerned about parking her stroller and it somehow getting touched by a contaminated hand ( adventure land, nut cart near pirates has me totally freaked out) this would be our first Disney trip since this adventure started for us and not sure what to do. Any severe food allergy people out there to lend some help?

You could consider putting a blanket or cover over most of the stroller (especially the front area that she can touch) and then periodically wiping the stroller with approved antiseptic wipes.
I would also speak to your doctor about airborne contamination and see what she/he suggests for crowded public areas with high probability of nut dust.

I agree with the idea of having a cover for the stroller. When DD was younger, I used a small, plastic tablecloth that I would clip in place with clothes pins to keep it dry when it was raining. I would think something like that would work well to protect the stroller from possible contamination from nuts when parked.

I agree a cover over the stroller something like a rain cover then be fore DD gets in wipe it off and make sure you have her epi pen with you

I would definitely cover the stroller when not in use. Also the CM's move the strollers at times to make room, i would make sure to wipe down the handle and anything she will come in contact with before putting her back in.

I wonder if the op could get a stroller as a wheel chair tag that way

1 the stroller would not be out where it could get something on it

2 it would give the child a little buffer while in line for other guests

Not sure this would be allowed

We did get a stroller as wheelchair tag for my FA kiddo. Our idea was that it would minimize his contact with the lines and chain that kids tend to hang on as well as minimize the possibility of others messing with it.

When you say contact, what kind of reaction do you see with it?

because peanuts can be anywhere in the park I would get the stroller as wheelchair tag so you can bring in line with you. had a contact reaction with a grandson while in line for a ride. foods are everywhere at Disney

The stroller as a wheelchair tag is a great idea. Bring approved wipes and wipe the stroller after each ride, since while you are on most rides the CM's will have to move the stroller to the ride exit and may have allergens on their hands.

Thanks all. That sounds like the best plan for us. Cover and wheel chair tag are the way to go!
