As we finished our mammoth Sundaes the Parade started coming down Main St. We had decided before travelling that we wouldn't bother watching the parades as we feel all the waiting around is just wasted time, for us anyway with no kiddies in tow.
We walked down Main St alongside the parade and watched bits of it as it passed. We popped into a couple of shops and Paulet couldn't resist getting me to pose for the 'hat' photos
The grumpy Wookie look hahahahaha
And the not-so-grumpy Stormtrooper pose :
We make our way out of MK and stroll back to the car feeling very stuffed but our smiles are even bigger than we could have imagined. Its been an amazing return to our special place of dreams after seven years away

Back at SSR we pop into reception to see how the room situation has panned out. I pick the friendliest looking CM behind the desk and cross my fingers!!
She has got us a room in Springs Bldg 5 with a water view but its a ground floor. I ask if there is any chance of a 2nd or 3rd floor room? Not until tomorrow, I'm told. Paulet and Jack had gone wandering in case I got angry and made a scene but they re-appeared right on queue for us to have a quick conflab and decide that we really would like to unpack our cases at some stage on this holiday and accept the ground floor room. We wander over to Bell Services and reclaim our cases and chuck them into the car for the short drive to our new room.
Its perfect

Our view
Let the unpacking begin
We walk over to DTD via the new Congress Park Bridge. Its about a 10 minute, picturesque walk to Marketplace - Perfect!
Our dinner ADR is for Rainforest Cafe. Quite a lot of DTD is walled off with lots of evidence of new construction going on. Even Rainforest's distinctive volcano is covered in scaffolding! However once inside you would not have a clue about all the renovations going on.
We are seated within a couple of minutes of our ADR time.
Jack has a smoothie whilst Paulet and I have a nice cold bottle of Pinot Grigio.
Dinner is lovely, Jack has the Primal Steak, I have the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and Paulet has the Pastalaya ( Spicy shrimp chicken and sausage with peppers etc, served with Caribbean Rice). Paulet says this is amazing.
We are still overly stuffed from breakfast and mountainous ice creams so we decide to skip dessert ( I know they're free but waste is waste
)
Very slow walk back to the room. Walking across to SSR is even prettier at night. We pop up to the Artists Palette to grab a hot chocolate in our refillables and retire to bed, stuffed yet very happy and content at 8.30 pm.
Perfect end to a perfect first day

Dining Plan day 1
3 TS credits at Crystal Palace (cost would've been $79.85 excl. tip)
3 TS credits at Rainforest without desserts ( $86.22 excl tip and alcohol )
3 Snacks credits at Ice Cream Parlour ( $16.24)
