We strangely has nothing planned for today !!!!! - Weird !!!
So to make up for missing out on both our planned water park days we decided to head for Typhoon Lagoon. As we were up early, and the fact that we had soooo many QS credits left we had breakfast in the Artist Palette. Bounty platters for me and Jack and a Western Omelette for Paulet all with the obligatory tea (Fanta for Jack)
I have enjoyed their breakfasts but I wish they would serve them with Hash Browns rather than wedgies!
Jump in the car for the quick dash across Buena Vista Drive to Typhoon Lagoon. Thinking it opened at 9, we arrived at 8.50 to find a completely deserted car park!. 'It opens at 10 silly!!!' - is what I'm told by Paulet !
So we sit and wait until they let us inn at about 9.40. We are then held before we can get to the beds until 10. Who knew there was a rope drop at a water park! Not me !!!!
Anyway, we leave the crowds rushing to the water front and make our way around to the right and up to the side of the wave pool (where you can look down on the fun). It's lovely and quiet up here. We chill for a while and then go and drown in the wave pool before drifting around the lazy river. It's still early so everything is quiet. Back to the beds for a couple of hours of doing nothing after picking up some donuts and drinks.
Around 1.30 e walk over to the Leaning Palms for lunch. Nuggets and fries for me and Jack and a caesar salad for Paulet. No pics sorry, but its standard fare!!
Taking our leave as the crowds start to build we drive back to the hotel for a shower and change.
We wait 10 minutes for a bus to Hollywood Studios as we have decided that Tower of Terror has to be ridden again. I had managed to make some FP reservations last night when we decided to do HS again, although obviously Toy Story Midway Mania was not available.
Straight over to ToT and straight in with FP. My second time ever on this is just as fab as the first!!! Love it!!!. Pity I can't post the videos here as Paulet cracks me up the way she screams !!!!!!
Front row this time too!. The CM loading the lifts picked on Paulet constantly and was hilarious!!!
I had snagged a FP for Aerosmith but only Paulet and Jack rode as I wimped out. I've done it in the past but really didn't feel like being hurled around and inverted today.
Paulet's valiant attempt at a thumbs up for the photo !
Whilst they rode I treated myself to a coke float!
We then chilled for a bit and thought about tomorrow night;s ADR. I had booked Via Napoli but Paulet didn't want to go back to Epcot again. I thought that I wouldn't be able to get much at one days notice. So over tea and fizzy drinks we had a browse through MDE.
Amazingly, other than the obvious no no's such as Cinderalla's Royal table, there was loads of reservations available. We decided to stick to DTD as we enjoy the fact that we can walk there and back from SSR. I settle on House of Blues and make the ADR after cancelling Via Napoli.
We just miss a bus and have to wait 15 mins for the next one after our flying visit to HS.
Back at the hotel we relax for a while and then tread the familiar path to DTD.
T.Rex is tonight's choice
Don't look behind you !
Drinks are ordered, including a Cotton-tini for Paulet
Although we are not sat in the ice cave it's lovely to see how it changes colour during the meteor storms.
Food is good, although Paulet's wasn't very hot. It seems to be fairly common now, warm food on piping hot plates!
Jack and Paulet shared the donut holes for dessert
I prefer Rainforest Cafe. The tables here at T Rex are all very close together and it does feel really crowded all the time. I think the food is very similar although I enjoyed my Rainforest meals slightly more.
Another nice gentle stroll back to SSR around the lake follows.
Dining Plan - Day 13
3 QS credits at Artist Palette ($37.98)
1 snack at HS (coke float)
3 QS credits at Typhoon Lagoon ($48.60)
3 snacks at HS ($9.69)
3 TS credts at T.rex ($116.11)
