Seven Years and No Itch: Becky and Steve Return to the World! Lots of Pictures

Great trip report! Thanks for taking the time to share it.

Was there an upfront cost for the photopass or do you just pay for the pic's you have printed from the net? Are there many photographers around the parks?

Thanks so much for taking the time to post such an awesome TR! My DH and I are anxiously awaiting our first trip to WDW next month. Since it's just the two of us, it was nice to read a trip report from the same. I also was very happy to hear about your Baggallini messenger as I've been thinking of buying one for our trip! Your pics were awesome, and I'm glad that you had such a great time! Congrats on your anniversary, and best wishes with the upcoming adoption! :wizard:

I really enjoyed you TR and pics. Loved your pictures. You guys are a cute couple.:thumbsup2
Thanks for posting.

Congratulations on your 7 years and best wishes on your adoption.
We were married 7 years before our DS12 was born. We also have a DD7. It is a priveledge and a joy to be parents.

Quick Question:

Could you tell me where you saw Devine at AK? Thanks
:wave2:

I enjoyed reading your trip report very much. Thank you for sharing :goodvibes and a little pixiedust: for your adoption. :grouphug:

No upfront cost. They just give you a card and you use it every time they take your picture. You can buy all the pictures on a CD for $99.95, or you can order prints from the website -- it's $12.95 for a 5X7, not sure about other sizes.

Actually I did not think there were a lot of photographers in the parks. I think if they had more of them they would sell more of the CD's. They are at every park's entrance, and of course in front of the castle, tree of life, sorcerer's hat, etc. They were also in the Character Connection in Epcot, but not when characters were available in town square or at other various locations around the parks (like when we ran into the bears in Canada, or Stitch in Animal Kingdom). So on a short trip and with only two people, we only had 37 pictures on our card by the end of the trip -- others have posted about having 150, but I don't know how they managed that! Of course we didn't do the waterparks or any character meals, maybe they are there.

Let me think -- I want to say we saw her as we were walking from Asia towards Discovery Island.

Becky - first of all, let me say congratulations on your anniversary and on your adoption approval! I hope they match you with your perfect little one very soon :cheer2:

Second, thank you so much for posting this TR! I feel like so many of the TRs involve families with children, and while they are interesting to read as well, I have trouble identifying since it's only my DBF and myself. So it's very much appreciated when I see some adults without kids enjoying WDW as well.

I loved how you included pictures, and I especially loved how you included the exact things you ate and the tab at the end of your meals. I've wanted to eat at Le Cellier for a long time, but NEVER realized it would come to $100 for 2 people!! However, you helped me to realize that a sit-down breakfast (even at 11am) is very affordable for 2 if you make that your sit-down meal for the day.

Great job and again, congrats!

Becky-

I really enjoyed reading your TR. The pictures were such a fabulous addition too! We stayed at WL last Aug. and your TR brought back some great memories.

Congrats on your adoption approval. I was adopted MANY years ago and also now have 2 adopted nephews. Adoption in our family has been a truly wonderful thing!

We leave to go back to the "World" in 11 days! :cool1: Your TR and pics make me even more excited!!!

I wanted to share a tip with you as I share your dislike of hotel bed sheets. It always bothered me that they almost never use fitted sheets in hotels. My solution was I bought a fairly nice king size fitted sheet that I take on all trips with me (that way it fits on all beds and can be easily "tucked" in for smaller beds). I bring the matching top sheet too and we "make" the bed when we first arrive and leave a note for housekeeping that we'd like them to make the bed daily, but keep our sheets on it. It makes for a much more comfortable sleep!!

Becky and Steve -

I really enjoyed reading your trip report. I only wish your trip had been longer (as I'm sure you did as well). My DH and I will be staying at WL in 40 days - celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. We've been to WDW 5x, but have never stayed there. We are really looking forward to it.

Thanks for sharing all your photo's and tips! I, too, am looking to buy a bra with the clear straps to wear under my tank tops. Thanks for the tip about the silicone! Hee, hee!!! Us DIS girls must stick together!

Again, thank you. And best wishes with your adoption. Please be sure to keep us posted!

Thanks for the report, Becky. And for the recommendation on the Baggallini Messenger bag. I've been looking for something just like that for our upcoming trip. When I read your review, it sounded perfect. I've ordered it and it should be here this week.

Thank you so much for sharing! :wizard:
Congratulations on your 7th anniversary! We are staying at the WL next Fall and seeing all the pics you shared with us makes me even more excited to stay there!

Thanks again! :sunny:

This was a WONDERFUL trip report!!! Thank you for writing it. Best of luck with adoption. It is a tedious process, but my friend whom has 2 beautiful adopted sons, will tell anyone it is all worth it in the end.

great report and photos - thanks so much for sharing and best wishes with the adoption!

I enjoyed your trip report so much.

We arrive at the WL for the first time on Sunday. You have me even more exicted ... if that is even possible.

We are celebrating our 8th anniversary while we are there (I married a Pittsburgh transplant) & also chose Artist Point for our "romantic" dinner. Thank you for the review. Hope our night is as nice as yours. I will remember the buy spray as I am quite allergic to mosquito bites.

Congratulations on 7 years & wishing the next year to be the most magical of all ...

Good luck with the addition of a little one! :wizard:

Hi Becky!
First of all congratulations on your anniversary!! Your trip report was WONDERFUL! I enjoyed reading it very much.

I had one question about monorailing to the Poly. I had never thought about doing that and it sounds like a great idea! We are honeymooning in November, and I thought that would be a fun getaway from the parks for the two of us. When you left the MK to head to Kona at the Poly, was Kona close to the monorail drop off, or did you have to know your way around the resort to find it?

Thanks!

It is very close! Just make sur eyou take the Resort Monorail. When you get off at the Poly, you walk into the Poly, and Kona is just to your left, on the same level. Less than a one minute walk! O'Hana's is right next door if you are interested in that, but I have never eaten there. Have fun!

Thanks! I think I might just call and make an ADR today for that! Your Tonga Toast looked wonderful!!

Loved your trip report and pics. Glad you had a great time. Just think in a year or two you will be going to disney as parents..

Great report. Thanks for sharing your story with us! I loved the MK opening show and shed a tear or two when the train pulled into the station. MK is Disney to me too!
