This is a little late, but since we have been home I have been sick with the flu. We arrived at Disney, 12/ 28 and left on 1/4. Cast of characters, myself, DH, DD age 20 and DS age 23. Arrived and ate lunch at Earl of Sandwich, 3 of us had the special, turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, which were great. DS had the original, ate outside and the weather was great, around 83. Dinner at Cape May, everything was good, except I did get some clams that were a little dirty, and ds had mussels that were bad
Sunday spent the day in MK, watched the XMAS parade by the train station, and had Casey's hot dogs, which were great. Sunday nite dinner at China, ordered the family dinner, had two orders of General Tso's ,Sesame Chicken and Beef and Peppers, Wonton Soup for all of us, and fried rice and some spring rolls. Everything was great, we like this restaurant. Rest of the week had lunch at Rainforest in AK. Had nachos, a BBQ chicken pizza, and a kids chicken. Food was good, service is always slow. Lunch at Olivia's, one burger for DH, he thought it was great, I had a turkey club, DS had a Cuban Sandwich and DD had soup and Turkey Club, again sat outside and food was good. Also had lunch at Canada, 4 cheese soups, which was outstanding, 2 steak burgers which was suppose to have cheddar cheese, but i still do not believe that it was cheddar. It was really strong, we asked the waitress, and she said we could have new ones, but decided not to, just was not happy with the burger, DS had the prime rib sandwich which he liked and DD had the kid's pasta. Next day lunch at France. 3 of us had Mac/Cheese, We really liked this, DD had the kids chicken, not a big eater. Last lunch was at Beaches and Cream, it is a tradition. 4 Hot dogs, and 2 No Way Jose's as always wonderful. Love that ice cream. Dinner at England on NYE. Great seat outside with a great view of Illuminations. It rained a little but we were under the awning. 4 Fish and Chips, Fish was delicious, hot and moist.2 bowls of potatoe soup were very good, and i had the mushrooms in sauce which was great, and beers for 3 of us. Next nite Beaches and Cream, (see lunch) Next nite California Grill, waited 35 minutes for our 7:00 res. had a table by the window, with a great view of the Fireworks, which also started late, but did go off. Appetizers-DD and DH had ceasar salads-DS Sushi Platter(I even tried some) and I had the goat cheese ravioli, which is soooo good. I sampled about four wines before i found what i wanted, our waiter was wonderful and the evening was great until the entrees. DS had pork over polenta, which i tried and it was one of the best things i ever ate. DD had a pizza (plain) I had the filet WONDERFUL , and DH had, it did not come out, it was suppose to be a filet. It was never put in
Waiter put in for another and it came out pretty quick, but was overdone and dry
so waiter is very sorry and now we are getting close to being done, so DH orders the butternut squash ravioli, and they were there in 5 minutes, and they were very good but not the filet. So DH's dinner was free and his drinks were free. Dessert was 3 chocolate cakes with ice cream, but my dessert was the best. I loved it
It was apples three ways. It was on a dish with three separate apples desserts. one was an apple sorbet, and apple carmel pastry and one other. i was in love with this dessert. All in all the meal was good and the waiter was wonderful and the fireworks!!! Last nite there was pizza from Riverside and salads and chicken strips back in our room at OKW. It was a great trip and if you go to CG. have the apple dessert. Sorry about the mad face in my title i hit the wrong item and don't know how to get rid of it
