Setting up & Payment plans for Escape packages?

I'm assuming they offer payment plans or let you start off with a deposit, right??

Anyone know what the initial deposit is (or what %) and when money is due in full by?

Also, how early in advance should you call to start planning with a coordinator?

You owe a deposit when you sign a contract. I think it is $2000. Then it sounds like with the new rules the rest is due 30 days before the day of your wedding. I'm pretty sure you can send in money prior to the 30 day mark and it will be like payments.

Also, Disney will talk to you if your wedding is within 18 mo. You can't sign anything until 12 or 8 months depending on your wedding and locations. I think you are assigned a planner when you sign your contract.

The deposit for an Escape wedding is $750. The balance is due 30 days before the wedding.

The deposit for a Wishes wedding is $2,000. The minimum expenditure amount is due 90 days before the wedding. The rest of your balance is due 30 days before the wedding. At that time, $1,000 of your deposit is applied to your bill and the other is kept in reserve to cover overages. Then you get it back (if there's any left) after the wedding.

Let me pull up the wedding spreadsheet here...

So, our deposit for our escape wedding in October was $750.

For the escape wedding, you can reserve your space for Sunset Point, Sea Breeze Point, the Wedding Gazebo or Sunrise Terrace one year ahead of time.

For the escape wedding, you can reserve your space for the Wedding Pavilion itself 8 months ahead of time. The scary thing for us was that the Wishes people can reserve their space for the Wedding Pavilion 12 months ahead of time. It worked out for us, and we got the Wedding Pavilion that day, just not at the time we wanted (not a big deal). When we went to look at the Wedding Pavilion and see the cake and champagne celebration sites, they told us that 'sometimes' you don't get the date you want. It's good if you go into this knowing that may happen and try to keep your date flexible by about 2 days.

According to the paperwork they sent us after we booked our site, it says "Your payment is due 20 dyas prior to your wedding date. Your payment can be processed by your wedding coordinator with Check, C.C. or money order. All Credit Card transaction require completion of a credit card authorization form." On that authorization form, they have a place to put your numbers, and how much you want to pay... so I assume that's like making payments whenever you want.

Thanks! $750 is not too scary! But I think we'll plan to save up at least half by the time we start to book just to be on the safe side. 12 months seems like a stressfully short amount of time to save up at least $4000!

I don't know if this is because we are doing a Wishes VR, but you can also pay by Wire, and you can apply any amount to a credit card (which is good if you have a rewards card!)
