Has anyone gotten sick, or heard of someone getting some sort of E-Coli or other sickness from the water rides?

I was told by ONE person that their kid got sick from poop in a pool at SESAME PLACE, Langhorne PA, and it gave him ecoli....

Any one heard of this???

No never heard anything like that ...but It could happen I guess

His kid almost died ... I am serious about this!

I have heard that before about Sesame Place - have never been there - which is probably why.

That happened here is Atlanta a few years ago at Whitewater Park. Lots of kids were sick and some had to be hospitalized. :(

I am thinking (no flames from parents with youngsters please) that with that many kids running around in diapers YES it is possible.

Agin NO FLAMES, but I have the term Fecal Teabag to refer to kids and water parks

The neighborhood we lived in last year - the community pool was closed for 2 weeks (maybe 3?) because they had discovered e-coli in the tested water samples. I can't recall all the details but it was a fairly big deal from what the papers reported. We never swam there anyhow.

Not the same as a waterpark but it's still a public area ... and gross.

I've been to Sesame Place..........once. Our kids were really too little at the time to enjoy it, but I have heard of kids getting sick and dying from picking up ecoli from water parks. Rather scarey!
