Service Centre's along the 401 to Windsor and the ones coming home

Last August when my family and I drove to WDW obviously before getting into the United States we took the 401 to Windsor. Anyway we noticed that the last service centre before Windsor which was a Tim Hortons, Mr Sub and a Petro Canada was closed for a renovation and when we drove home the service center with a Wendy's, Mr Sub, Tim Hortons and Esso station was also closing for a renovation within the next few days. So I am wondering for anyone who has driven along the 401 - Windsor and back the other way have these locations re-opened?

as of Feb.7th it was still closed both ways.

Thank you for that information and I forgot to ask are the locations with McDonalds and Petro Canada still open?

Drove by them last Saturday.... closed and not looking like they will re-open anytime soon

Well hopefully they will re-open by this August, because the 1st day my family and I drive were leaving in the middle of the night and we would rather stop at one of those locations for gas since we will need it before getting to Windsor and would not want to get off the 401 during that time.

From what I understand.... those Service Centres will not open anytime in the near future. The Province is looking for a "vendor" to take over those locations but has not yet secured one.

There are gas stations in Windsor along Huron Line (Huron Church) which are on the way to the bridge so you won't have to exit for gas.

Oh we know there are gas stations in Windsor, however we will be taking the 407 to the 401 and I am sure we will need to stop at least one time before arriving in Windsor.

We live only a few kilometers from the fore mentioned service centers and they do not appear to be re-opening any time soon, both centers are being totally taken down, uncertain how long it will be before they are rebuilt. If I were you, I would be looking at other options for filling up your gas tank before crossing the border (its better safe than sorry).

Well most likely we would be stopping for gas in Windsor even if these locations were not closed.

London is a pretty safe city, you could easily hop off the exit fill up, and be back on the 401 before you know it if you think you need to fill up before Windsor.

We were also thinking that London would be the best location to stop off at, if we need to at the time.
