Server request

During our last visit to DHS we had a fantastic meal at 50's. The food was great but our server was FANTASTIC!!

We are going again in June and would like to request his section (assuming he is working). Does anyone know how we can do this?

I would just ask the CM when you check in at your ADR time. You may have a longer wait but it sounds like it would be worth it.

It's no problem at all - you just have to ask and see if they are working that day, and as the PP said, you might have to wait until they have a free table.

We were there last week, and did not request a particular server. But during our meal, we asked our server if he could find another server, Mike, we had had in the past -- we wanted to show him a photo of him with our family. He came over, sat down with us for a few minutes, and was so glad we asked for him -- but of course, had to give us a dig - "and you couldn't wait for me?" LOL. I guess next time we will ask!

we request once we get there. also, we normally add a celebration and note "request oscar please" under the name part. we only do this at yachtsman steakhouse--he is fabulous.

We had the best server last year at Garden Grill. It was our oldest daughter's first birthday and Ellyn couldn't be sweeter. She was incredible. We even have a picture with her and Pluto with our daughter. We're hoping that we will be lucky enough to have her again for our youngest daughter's first birthday. My husband is planning on calling the restaurant a few days before to see if our former server is working the night we are heading there. If she is we will try to request her at the podium during check in. I don't mind waiting if we can be seated in her area.

We usually simply request our server at the podium. There is one who we e-mail ahead of time so we can purposely time our visit to correspond with his schedule.

We also request Oscar at the Yachtsman Steak house. He has been our
server for 20+ years. We usually request him when we check in and will wait until something in his section is available. I think you can pretty much do this in most if not all restaurants. You may have to wait a little longer, but you know your service will be excellent....
