Seriously? Tony's closing early?

Here's what I was told...We are going Thanksgiving week and due to park hours just being posted, I guessed and made my ADR's last week. I figured that I could tweak them once park hours were released. I was able to get seating at Tony's on Sunday, November 23, at 5:25...earlier than when I wanted them. I called tonight hoping to get seating later (around 7:30-8 PM) and was told that the last seating for that night was 5:45 PM...that the restaurant was closing early that night. Huh?
MK is open until 11 PM and it's evening EMH, so when I stated that and asked why, I was told that table services would be closing early, that they were trying to cut back because of gas prices. I asked, "Even if the park is open late?" He said that counter service would still be open throughout the park...

Is this true? Or was he a little confused? Does anyone else have ADR's in the MK that night that is later than 6? I just find it a little hard to believe that the week of Thanksgiving, they would be closing restaurants early...

I know when the hours were posted at first, there were people calling to change their ADRs and being told that the dining computers had not been updated yet.

I was told by DVC member services that it usually takes 2 days once the park hours are posted before it shows in the dining system. I would keep trying back. Good luck!!!

WTH would a Disney World restaurant close early due to gas prices? The guests are already there!!!!

Methinks that Cast Member had his bottle of Ripple a bit early in the day.

I keep calling and I still get the same thing no dinners past 5:45pm. I even had a CM tell me that it was because it is a hard ticket event that night even after I told her the hours say open until 11pm. I am so confused and hoping more tables would open. I thought that once the hours were out I would have a chance but I am still waiting and hoping.
