1) Yes, this was one of the buses for used to transport CP's from their apartments to Disney.
2) WDW changed bus companies two years ago - through a formal bid process.
3) Disney changed the traffic pattern to ease left-turn lanes onto Sherberth.
4) It has been a dumb and ill-designed road, according to lots of folks.
5) Personally, I hate that road and the new lanes, and avoid it like the plague.

Based on what one of the articles says and the comments appended (supposedly by a bus passenger CM), the SUV was headed south and crossed over the centerline on the tight curve near Osceola Parkway (near AK toll booths).

Multiple reports are the SUV was driving the wrong way/in wrong lane and hit them head on causing them to burst into fire. I've been on the road several times and I don't see it as a problem road.

From the video there was clearly a double yellow line marking the roadway where they were. I can't imagine there would be any reason to make an error unless you are speeding (losing control) or possibly on your phone not paying attention.

1) I saw the exact location of the accident.
2) It is just before the merging of two (new) lanes going South.
3) It is possible a driver in the right-most lane tried to merge left early and the SUV went left to avoid it.
4) I have seen this on multiple occasions.
5) So, until the investigation is done, let us not assign blame, and just pray for those involved.

Not assigning blame, just stating the road is well marked and visible, and if one was paying attention something this bad should not have happened.

Report now is the woman fell asleep at the wheel as reported by her son, (6 pm accident).

That was an interesting story...

It seems odd that they are reporting what a 7-year old is saying to the police, especially one who was just in a serious accident with his mom and dad.

ETA: Also, although I understand being tired after a day in the parks, it seems an odd place to fall asleep at the wheel. Those accidents usually happen on the highway where driving is more monotonous without stops, turning, etc. I pray everyone will be fine, but it seems there may be more to this story than what is currently being reported.

I'm guessing he is fine and they were trying to see what was going on just before the accident. I know I have a little friend that age and she would totally be able to give credible details. Sounds like if they released the info they felt him capable of giving them accurate information and telling the truth.

Here is another article with same info, and that she was being charged. Hopefully the fact that no follow up info has come of the injuries, it means that everyone is going to be okay.

The road design looks and sounds like a bad compromise from trying to integrate the needs of a busy theme park and a municipal road system.

My daughter got accepted into the college program and decided not to accept the offer for this summer. After reading this it makes me feel like we got lucky.

I hope everyone is doing ok from the accident you just never know how each day will go. Thinking of all teh parents and the other family.
