Hi guys,

I'm from across the water where this product is not available so I was wondering if any of you had ever heard of it or even better used it and if so could you let me have your opinions please?

I had to google it because I had no idea what it was. It looks like you can buy it on-lin, but I would be afraid to give it to my kids. My middle DS has always had sleep issuses and even on his worst days I would still be afraid of it.

I have been considering this too, my 20 month old DS hasn't slept through the night yet. Drs n Health visitors a waste of time. I 1st saw it a few months ago but like you can't seem to get hold of it here, its only available in the US. The website does mention import restrictions so was put off. But I am now again, trying to find out more.

Hope someones had experience of it.

Mishele,

My DD is 7 and I could count on one hand the number of nights she has slept right through since she began teething! I tried everything including aromatherapy and reflexology. I gave up hoping for an undisturbed night a long time ago so that wasn't really why I was interested in this stuff.

Although she never slept through she had always gone to bed with no problems whatsoever. Of late she has begun to have nightmares, they became so frequent that she actually began to get scared to go to bed. At first she just wanted a light left on, then it was the door left open, then it was me holding her hand till she feel asleep which would only take 5 - 10 minutes but the nightmares continued and so the cycle of being afraid to sleep set in till eventually I was having to lie in bed with her some nights for over an hour or more! If I tried to leave before she was in a deep sleep she would wake up and become hysterical. The whole bedtime scenario became very stressful for both of us. I didn't want to give my child drugs as suggested by my doctor.

I actually sent off and bought Serenite Jr. I've been using it now for less than a week and for us it has been a godsend. I give her less dosage than suggested just before bedtime, she brushes her teeth, we read her book and then I actually get to leave the room with the promise that I will pop up and check on her in 10 minutes, when I go back up she is fast asleep!!! Things are back to how they used to be.

However, she does still wake up during the night. They do say if you only give half the dosage you can give the rest during the night when they wake up but I haven't as yet done that because although she's waking up, which I'm used to, she's not waking up hysterical from a nightmare. I have tried to get to a cause for these nightmares but so far have drawn a blank and the doctor tells me it's just something some children go through and will hopefully grow out off.

I'm sorry for all this rambling;) but wanted you to know that although I have found this stuff to be great for our needs it might not be suitable for yours if what you are after is a whole night of sleep (boy that would be great:rolleyes1 ) given that my DD still hasn't slept through even with this stuff although maybe if you give a full dosage or if you repeat the dosage when they wake up that might work, I'm just a bit reluctant to do that. I'm just happy that she can go to bed peacefully and not wake up in a terrible state.

I know how exhausting living on little sleep is so I hope your little boy grows out of it soon.

Thank you. I'm glad to here its working for you. I'm going to try it will start with half dose like you and see how it goes. I'll let you know.

Hope your DD nightmares stop soon it must be really frightening for her and you too.
