We are staying at Sequoia lodge next month and have half board plus vouchers and are likely to eat at the hotel once. I am right in thinking that both restaurants are now buffet? If so is there any difference between them?

Yes there is a difference - one is table service and the other is buffet ;)
One is themed out like a hunter's lodge, the other more like a mountain restaurant.
They are both stunning and serve exceptionally good food!

When we ate there in the evening 2 months ago they were both buffet service. It is possible it has changed since then, but it didn't look like it when we were there 2 weeks ago (although we only had breakfast there that time, not evening meal).

Ohh sugar, we had dinner at the hotel one evening and I can't remember the name of the one we went to . It's the one on the right as you're coming down the stairs. Is that Hunter's Grill?

Anyway, the one we went to offers starter & dessert buffet and you have to choose your main course from the menu (think there were 6-7 choices). I had ribs and hubby had ermm.. can't remember what he had :confused3 Sorry. I'm rubbish today! lol.

As far as I'm aware, the other restaurant offers a full buffet.

HTH.

Then the menu has changed since February - lol.
The one on the right as you approach from the stairs area is the Beaver Creek. It was here we ate in Feb and it was full buffet - no menu at all.

They do like to confuse us, don't they? lol.

Have just asked hubby what he had - half roast chicken in mustard sauce, which wasn't very nice. Chicken was very dry and the mustard sauce didn't taste like "fresh" mustard sauce, more like granules.

Thanks for the info guys.Looks as if they can't really make their minds up so we shall have to wait and see what they are offering when we get there:woohoo:
