We live in Oregon, so we are really use to the 300 days of rain a year. But I am curious what the rain is like in September at WDW. Is it downpours or just light. We are debating if we need ponchos (but keep in mind that Oregonians *never* use umbrellas). TIA!

If you don't have ponchos, you WILL need a change of clothes. :)

I went in September of 2002, and while the showers were short-lived (2-5 minutes at most), it was torrential. If I didn't have a poncho, I would have been drenched.

we went in Sept 2003...some days were a light drizzle - others had mornings of some heavy rain...but then clearing. Other afternoons were quick 20 min storms.

we didn't have ponchos - but we did have our own zip-up/hooded windbreakers that we wore...which spent most of it's time tied around our waists.

don't let the rain deter you! it's a great time (late sept.) to go!
